Technically 9 wins because I was spoiled on the Dio vs Alucard and the Saitama vs Popeye battles ( and I know it was evident that Popeye won because toon physics, but I still would've liked to see it blind).
I hate to be that guy but this was literally WW2 in a nutshell, Japan puts up a fight and is a serious threat to the US until bombs just starting coming in which is the spinach in this case
If I remember right, popeye is also one of the main stream serial cartoon characters to actually have a kid instead of just nephews or neices like Donald and Mickey.
The reason it looks like mush (the Spinach), is because in a can, it would be chopped up. The first time I ate it, it was served in exactly that way. In popeye, the spinach always comes out of a can, so it was probably how it was put into them at the time. Edit: Also, don't diss Live action Popeye. That is Robin Williams and Shelley Duvall (legends) that are doing amazing work in portraying the bodylanguage of cartoon characters.
Oh, I hate spoilers too. For reals, had just started the walking dead back when there was only 3 or 4 seasons out on Netflix and I was messing around on minecraft when the kid I was playing with spoiled something in season 2 for me after I explicitly told him not to say anything more on it, forcing me to go into my usual pissed postpone on shit ai wanted to do for literal b years. Saitama: Aw man, this crap's always so expensive (15 yen)
15 yen is $ 0.13
Actually, there is a live action Popeye movie starring Robin Williams as the titular character. Also, there is a Quest for Pappy animated movie. And, there was supposed to be a CGI Popeye film by Sony Animation Studios but it was canceled for some reason.
Someone said that the Emoji Movie was the one that was made instead of Popeye.
@@FreelancerAmber Yeah that what I heard, which makes sense since the animation is the same.
I blame emjio movie for it and plus tom kenny was play as popeye on that movie
3:23 "Wasn't there a live action Pop-Eye at one point?"
Yes there is a live action Pop-Eye movie starring the late Robin Williams in the early 80's.
Happy new year
Saitama voice: Ryan Abedi
Popeye voice: Liam Swan
There was a live action Popeye, and that was indeed Robin Williams as the Sailor Man
25:14- No, Luffy copied him and his toon brethren.
There is a definite difference between cartoons and anime, satama while very strong still has to obey physics, popeye on the other hand makes physics obey him.
21:12 just wait for live action Franky from One Piece, those arms will be SUUUPER!
That's who Luffy and Frankie's powers and character model Frankie was based on think about it movie likes meat and Frankie gets powered up on cola little on the nose here
3:38
No your right their was a live action film of him
Liam Swan, one of DB's own animators, voiced Popeye.
Amber has such cool posters.
Congrats on winning on the finale. Here's your final record for Season 8.
Wins: Doctor Doom, Blake, Star Butterfly, Cloud, Iron Man, Reverse-Flash, Kool-Aid Man, DIO, Shao Kahn, Storm, Popeye (11)
Losses: Yoda, Ryuko, Geese Howard, Iron Fist, Aizen (5)
Technically 9 wins because I was spoiled on the Dio vs Alucard and the Saitama vs Popeye battles ( and I know it was evident that Popeye won because toon physics, but I still would've liked to see it blind).
Well, I'd prefer to count those other two.
Happy new year to you amber , and evry1 else !!😁✌👍✨🎇
3:26 Yes in 1980 it stared Robin Williams
Live action popeye is a robin williams movie and its phenomenal super underrated
The spinach I've always eaten is more creamy than leafy. Then again it's always spinach a la crème. I've never seen regular spinach irl.
25:14 people keep saying that, but Popeye was the Orignal.
Finally, a worthy opponent! THEIR BATTLE WILL BE LEGENDARY!!!
That "Hmm, I can'ts read that" keeps cracking me up. :P
I’m pretty sure that would be the opposite of skipping “Leg Day”
*TOOT TOOT!*
Great reaction
Happy New Year Amber
There was a CGI Animated Popeye Movie planned, but for whatever reason, it got scrapped, i think.
Glad you reacted before the copyright bots came to claim it.
I hate to be that guy but this was literally WW2 in a nutshell, Japan puts up a fight and is a serious threat to the US until bombs just starting coming in which is the spinach in this case
I never even knew there was a type of guy like this for anyone to be.
@user-qg4sf4ei7j
people that tried to link tom and jerry to us vs. german, i suppose
@@StarFall78so basically nonsense

If I remember right, popeye is also one of the main stream serial cartoon characters to actually have a kid instead of just nephews or neices like Donald and Mickey.
Popeye's creator was actually from Illinois and he may have based Popeye on someone he knew in his hometown who looked and acted remarkably like him.
"Toons do not give a shit if they get hit" needs to be on a T-shirt.
Said one advantage that Popeye has being ... ya know, immortality i guess
I still love that movie its one of altime favorites, but I also like the Mario brothers movie so what do I know
Oh, I hate spoilers too.
P. S. Anyone who posts anything about the walking dead post season 4 since I'm currently in the middle of season 5 will be ignored)
The CGI Popeye is from a cancelled Popeye movie from, I believe, Sony Animation
we're also gonna get Scarlett Witch, Vegeta and some others. plus Tetsuo from Akira. and Tetsuo was absolutely insane in that manga/anime movie.
I feel like we can't put anything cartoon up against any fictional character really. Which is the case of Toon Force.
A high five 🖐️
cool fact! but not only was the live action popeye movie real, the town they built for it is real too. and people still live there!
3:36 well there're multiple people who've emulated or tried to emulate his workout
