The 'Joke Fights' like Dan Hibiki vs Hercule Satan and Chuck Norris vs Segata Sanshio end up being some of the best fights because the team gets to have so much fun with them and it's when you can really see how much they love working on this series.

Normally, that text or any text is only visible to the audience....but for Popeye, not only was he able to read, I mean, see the Japanese text on the fist....that comment just make me laugh when he first saw that....that his first reaction wasnt, a giant fist coming at him, no no no, it ws the text on the fist and that he didnt know what it said.

This episode legit brought a tear to my eye. Both in laughter, and how happy Saitama was. Dio VS Alucard and Madara VS Aizen were amazing, but it's no surprise how this became the season finale.

I even said as much in the comments section of the video. Much props to the DeathBattle team. This was easily one of their FINEST productions to date and absolutely rivals the likes of the LEDENGARY Goku vs Superman battle!
Death Battle team really stuck true to the individual personalities even as they were fighting each other.
Saitama's arms & hands were even shaking from the stress even as he he was thinking about how his muscles were aching. But that's what made him the happiest he's ever been in his whole super-career.

If you really think about it most death battles are mostly one-sided fights. even when they say that they have an equal chance of winning. every time one of the characters has an unbeatable ability they will win 100% of the time. Like in the fight between dio and Alucard, Alucard had absolutely no counter for dio's time stop ability.
They never once said the fights where ever equal.....or at least Iv never heard that from them and Iv been watching since the first link vs cloud.
The most equal combatant death battle I can think of was Balrog vs TJ Combo. Despite both of them having nearly equal strength and durability, TJ’s speed and experience won him the fight.

idk why alucard lost, he is immortal.
It was a similar case with Crash vs. Spyro. DB concluded they had very close durability and strength feats but Spyro won at the end thanks to his Aether Breath that can destroy anything.
That was a fight and a great season finale 😂

According to that preview, six of the characters from Death Battle's next season are Tanjiro (Demon Slayer), Tetsuo (Akira), Boba Fett (Star Wars), Scarlet Witch (Marvel), Jinx (League of Legends), and Vegeta (Dragonball series).
The Most Best Epic Battle! 🥳 Saitama finally found the strongest opponent with who he had always dreamed of fighting! He was able to experience strong emotions again, as at the very beginning of his path to becoming a hero! Sad he is died and turned in Egg ... since this is Death Battle 😕, but Popeye's ToonForce is so absurd that he can revive Saitama anytime he wants!😀

going from a NORMAL person to doing saitamas workout routine is basically impossible, you have to already be REALLY fucking fit for you to be able to actually be able to do it. like wiz said you need to ALREADY be a really fit athlete before starting or it'd be basically impossible, so it's not bullshit, it just has high pre-requisites.
That was actually a pretty good impression at the start. Thumbs up to that one. I love saitama and popeye, thought popeye would take it and was not disappointed.

This was a strange, but awesome way to finish this anniversary season. What a great battle, no questions asked!
But I was sad that Saitama lost. I had many doubts about the fight:
- many of Popeye's feats were all thanks to spinach, while Saitama accomplished his feats through training, without an "outside source".
- one question: the spinach power doesn't have some sort of time limit? I thought that through extreme routines and fights, one can is quickly consumed in the body, which could have lead Popeye with no strength, thus interrumpting the fight to eat more spinach, giving Saitama a wide-opening.
- One-Punch Man is still going, and unfortunately for us and Wiz and Boomstick we never saw Saitama's fighting a serious fight, as in a fight that could potentially leave him at death's door. At this moment in the manga, we see God, but Saitama hasn't fought him yet, and maybe after this arc we will see him fight God and gain new calculations.
- Toon Force might be the most broken instrument to counter and beat. Of all users, I thought Popeye was an average user, in comparison to Bugs or Felix the Cat.
There was no way Saitama could win this fight, but I so wished he could. The music and battle transitions were amazing.
Well the thing is, it doesn't matter how strong Saitama gets, he just can't compete against someone like Piopeye.
Popeye is the OG toon force user ( or at least one of them) no one can beat that except the writer

My most Favorite part of this was 19:52 when Popeye started singing that song! #Love IT!
The only thing i think might be wrong about Popeye is how they describe his punch that breaks them down into other objects. I watched alot of Popeye growing up and never saw him do it to something perceived as strong or stronger than him. BUT! It doesn't matter because its still toon force. Man this was such a good episode, very creative and well animated, and the Popeye muttering was perfect. Imitating Popeyes voice is also no easy feat either, Kudos to the voice actors for both characters, they sounded great.
He literally turned Pluto into a giant hotdog once.

They didn't factor in that Saitama can one-shot his previous day's self, so he apparently casually grows in power exponentially each day.
Also, the other characters only SPECULATE that he broke his limiter because it's the only way they can explain his power.

Fun Fact: Popeye was the inspiration for Superman! So technically, he was the *first* Superhero!
Not to mention, DC even ripped him off as Captain Strong, and I think they even said he was capable of beating Pre-Crisis Superman (galaxy sneezing one). So Popeye definitely is at least a contender for the first strong dude type

Hate how they tried to justify saitamas strength all they had to say is that he has some sort of limit to how much he can do. And Popeyes a character that has no exact limit his physical strength abuses and breaks reality and logic itself they did not have to give me so backwards explanation to justify cause that shit confused me

The only thing that can defeat a wielder of the 'Toon Force is another 'toon that knows how to use the 'Toon Force *better* than the other; I think it's really just a matter of who's the biggest smart-@$$. Heck, I don't even think Judge Doom's Dip could kill Popeye. As we saw in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, the 'toon shoe that Doom dipped still existed as a few thin, wispy streams of dissolved paint colors floating on the top of the Dip...And yet, Popeye has come back from complete disintegration, & having the whole of reality turned off. In short, he's *immune* to the very concept of non-existence.

May we take a moment to appreciate that every time the art style & animation changed, they were literally breaking into other dimensions?

I love that everybody thinks Saitama wins cause he defeats everybody in 1 punch, he's a gag character and has infinite power......even though this very video proves he doesn't have any of those. Plus even if he was an actual gag character, him fighting another character who is practically a gag is about as fair as it gets. Old school cartoon characters were on another level of op. Shit Popeye could probably defeat most versions of Superman.
