I’m a British Oasis nut . I’ve seen Noel sing this song thousands of times and I’ve never seen him as visibly moved as he is in this performance. Big up to the Argentinian crowd.
Nole has spoken about this a number of times saying there's no greater feeling than a crowd singing all the words to one of your song and this particular instance left him speechless especially considering they're singing all the words in a second language
Oasis' internal drama can sometimes overshadow just how amazing their songs really were. They put out three albums in the 90's that were just entirely fantastic from beginning to end. Their 2000's output wasn't bad either.
When you consider English isn't their language, it's incredible the whole crowd knows all the words. You can see how much Noel loves and appreciates them for that. Once again, the Argies at The River Plate Stadium (following the amazing AC/DC gig in 2009) prove they are the best rock fans on earth. 🙋♂

Great reaction Biss. Love Oasis, have watched this live performance before and it's an amazing version, they also have some great live videos from Rock in Rio as well, but I was getting a bit emotional watching this as well. A couple of points, firstly the singer in this acoustic version of Don't Look Back In Anger is Noel Gallagher who isn't the lead singer in the band, his younger brother, Liam, usually is on lead vocals. Secondly, and I think what makes this performance special, is that Noel and Liam were very confident, brash, almost rude every time they were interviewed on camera in I guess a rock star kind of way, but you're right Noel here did look genuinely moved by the reaction of the crowd. This song, like Wonderwall, the other song you know from them, is from their second album, I think you should go back and check out some of their subs from their first album, Definitely Maybe, I'd suggest Live Forever, Supersonic, or Up In The Sky before moving into other songs from their later albums. Just to add the two brothers in the band, Noel and Liam feel out a lot eventually leading to the splitting up of the band. This often caused cancelled concerts when on tour, especially in the US. Even though his solo stuff isn’t really my thing he still sounded amazing. Luckily he did play this one and I absolutely loved it.
There are a handful of "stadium anthems" that are truly memorable and bring out the passion in the crowd....in my opinion, these are:- Don't Look Back in Anger (Oasis), Angels (Robbie Williams), Fix You (Coldplay) & Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen). I'm sure you and your subscribers will come up with more but these are top of my list. Great reaction by the way!!
I fell in love with the song as it was played over the final credits of "Our Friends In The North", a BBC drama staring Christopher Eccleston, Gina McKee, Daniel Craig & Mark Strong.
I wrote on another recent reaction page that this is an absolute British anthem of the 1990s. Pretty much anyone who is over 30 and was born and raised in the UK will know this song, and it's one of those - like "Wonderwall" - that is guaranteed to get a bit of a singalong to the chorus in a crowd, especially after a few drinks! So great to see the international power of music, and as someone else said, Noel looks so moved to hear the crowd singing back to him. Your reaction to his response was also moving. It's well worth checking out more of their catalogue, especially from their earliest albums "Definitely Maybe", "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?" (where this song came from) and "Be Here Now".
You deserve to be in this ground. Best reactions to me. I send you a big argentinian hug Bisscute! I found that the things that moves to you are the same things that move us (dont know if my english is correct, i hope said it well)
It does seem like a wonderful crowd and he was clearly genuinely touched by it, which is pretty impressive given he has had stadiums singing his songs back to him consistently for the past 25-30 years. Including crowds in stadiums where he isn’t even there, crowds at football matches love nothing more than singing his songs
I love this band. And never seen them live. I bought tickets to see them in Chicago at Soldier Field next year and I am counting the days. It was a birthday present for my girlfriend but it was really a me present, she loves them too but I'd have bought tickets even if I wasn't involved with anyone.
