    Definitely wouldn’t use the bigger tetra when they are that size. I waited until my common snapper was about twice those spotted size before I put him in with that filter. I’m just too wary about smaller turtles who aren’t great swimmers getting stuck in it

    New setup for the spotteds looks good! I keep mine in similar water depth with different things for them cling onto if needed. Never lost one this way either

    Be careful, the sphagnum moss can clog the filter pretty easy!
    By the way the spotted turtles are so cute

    The 50 long Rubbermaid stock tank is super good for spotteds. Just my experience

    They Kick the tail like that usually when they have hard time getting rid of the poop....and in this case he is been dry, so maybe lack of water is causing the poop to be hard or something....that may be the case

    • @DanTheTurtleMan_
      @DanTheTurtleMan_  3 года назад +1

      That's actually not a bad idea...he pooped though when I first dry docked him and hasn't eaten since, so I doubt he has anything left but he could!

      @@DanTheTurtleMan_ my red eared slider always does that when he slides into the water after basking....so that's pretty similar, your terrapin was dry too & started kicking the tail when you put him into the water....also it may be the loose shedding skin on tail that he trying to get rid of.....anyways, since you responded.....just a new but regular viewer, was introduced to your channel by Carson's Aquatics from his video, when you sent him the turtle for his turtle mystery box video.....but I really like your content man, keep uploading 🤝🏻🤝🏻🇮🇳

    Do your parents have a chiming clock? I'm sure I hear something in the background at:
    ruclips.net/video/yH4Lf7G2MJo/видео.html.
    I've heard it in a few of your videos! It makes me pause the video and listen for a sound in our house every time! Then I play the video again and a little 'boing' in the background :)
    It's a fun game lol.

      @@DanTheTurtleMan_ Ah, I have old man hearing it seems :) What antiobiotics you got him on? Fortaz(ceftazidime) seems most common foollowed by Baytril. Totally anecdotal and no relevance to your situation really but I had a map turtle that had a bad brumation, wouldnt eat for 6 weeks, within 2 days of a shot of the old fortaz, he was munching like a champ. Sure Pancake will pull through as young turtle in good condition :)
