I respect the interviewer for explaining Skippy and Rolf Harris to the folks at home.
He’s a consummate professional
@@Herodollus certainly a scholar...
The best part, I don't think he's a hypocrite
Explain for the folks at home.. 😂😂 classic.
Hi come back and watch this video over and over every couple of weeks.
I love how this guy genuinely loves Norm
Josh stayed out of Norm's way because Norm is the greatest comedian of all time. Conan could take tips; his little asides in the middle of a Norm story are NEVER Norm-quality.
@@thebrazilianatlantis165 I disagree. Josh read the situation and he handled it in the best way. He drove the interview when he needed to, and played with Norm when he could.
Norm and Conan knew each other and had fun playing. And it's usually funnier because Conan's motive is to help the guest be as interesting as possible, and in the case of Norm the funniest thing Conan could do was to point a finger at how hilariously absurd and full-of-holes Norm's stories were. Affection for Letterman aside, I gotta think Conan's was one of the more fun talk show experience for Norm. Even here, he's got this "who gives a damn" attitude, but on Conan he was laughing and on the edge of his set getting ready for what he'd say next.
"Especially on that hot chair" then that smirk 😄
Norm's brain was on another level.
He’s just ripped on benzos
He’s on record that he never did any drugs whatsoever besides LSD. Maybe he’s a liar. Or maybe he’s a comedian trying to be funny.
@@AmericansikkuntYeah I'm sure if we gave you some Benzo's you would be as funny and intelligent as Norm...not.
He liked his pot and did acid as far as I know@@LukeLongboneOfficial.
@@LukeLongboneOfficialyea he didn't consider Rx to be 'drugs'. was prescribed Xanax for 20+ years
That minute on Seth Meyers is remarkable.
What I loved most about Norm was one interview he’s not shaven, has a hoodie, batman hat, and other interviews he’s clean cut with button up and jacket.
Huffpost? Sounds like something Adam Eget does for $15 a man
@@jaredmclaren5571 underrated comment !!!
@@jaredmclaren5571 underrated comment !!!
"Lady! Lady!" 🤣
Man that got me
Hahahaha damn he is good
This is Norm practicing for his old age. That we lost him right as he was entering the senior citizen-stage of his carreer is the biggest loss to comedy ever. God damn he'd be such a funny brilliantly weird old geezer!
One of my fave interviews with Norm. He’s so weird here
The pretending he thinks Brits are Australians, signifying on Josh that Josh might be gay, honestly not giving a fuck whether he is because Norm loves all his brothers, almost flirting with him, it all gets pretty random and subtle even by Norm standards!
I own a doghouse, but if any of my brothers and sisters who are gay are interested, Norm is a political moderate and he wholeheartedly supports gay rights. E.g. on his sports show about 9 years ago he was cleverly incisive about 5 times mocking basketball players who had used the word "faggot."
It's for the art
Xan’d
@thebrazilianatlantis165 Doubt it.
This interview should be studied for all time
"It's a rip-off of Lassie, but instead of a dog, it's a kangooroo"
Hahaha
I am in art school right now and I have a figure drawing teacher who talks exactly like norm. He seems like a bitter old asshole of a man but if you actually pay attention he's actually a wise man with a great and silly sense of humor and unbelievable knowledge that he continually downplays. I appreciate him so much because it is the closest I will ever get to meeting Norm. and when I say talks just like him I mean same tone of voice, same sense of humor, same wise yet humble and slightly apathetic view of the world. Anytime someone asks a dumb question he just says "huh!?" everything is exactly the same and I have never learned so much from a single person in my entire life. I bet Norm would have made an excellent professor in another life.
HAH?! Thanks for sharing and appreciating that prof!
Brilliant except I wouldn’t say norms view is apathetic. He did as much of everything he loved in life as he could it seemed. And in the face of death and unknowables and the fragility / dubious priorities of most humans, to simply live and love and laugh through life’s ups and downs is heroic and takes deep wisdom and strength.
@@neighbourmusic Norm liked bleakness, so maybe that's what they were going for.
I think he was an optimistic realist and I think he saw things he thought were negative and made the choice to not be affected by them.
That's interesting because both of norms parents were teachers😊
One of the better Norm interviewers. Nice
I’ve probably watched this 4 times and still love it. What a treasure Norm is.
One of the best Norm interviews.
Thanks Mr. Dog so much for the uploads!
What do you think of the Seth Myers show?
It’s not something I would do!
I love how he awkwardly brings up Ralph Harris and Jimmy Saville lol.
"take your filthy lucre... And make it filthier" 🤣🤣
🤣
bro he actually might be the funniest man alive, dont know how the host kept a straight face for so long 🤣
I think you're highly overstating his state of being alive. I think he's the funniest man ever though!
He's not alive.
Norm's so funny he's the funniest man alive even when he's dead. Norm, the bush Zepps.
Norm was a comedic genius.
18:19 i always think, what would Seth Meyers do? Ridiculous. 😆😆
Love it when norm plays old Macdonald
Pure gold, this one! Big fluffy hats off to you Mr. the Dog. I’ll probably leave another comment after rewatching.
“It’s Jimmy Sav-ill. Don’t give him the fancy name!”
The segue from Skippy to Speedos shows Norm again ahead of the curve.
This conversation about Skippy is killing me.
Please don’t ever delete this!! ❤ RIP NORM
Afflict the comfortable
Comfort the afflicted
Daevid allen is my favorite Australian. He formed the “prog” bands soft machine and Gong, both had some really incredible records.
Strait people? I got no use for.. 😂😂 man I miss norm.
18:54 so quick 😆😆
Norm was so great. The trans/gay bit is fantastic
#1 Norm interview
27:40 you're gonna get in a lot of trouble for this segment. 😆😆
I love when he fucks with interviewers and his audience with his LGBT stuff.
The interviewer (Josh Szeps) is both gay and chill
Good to know but also totally irrelevant. Unless you’re here to watch Josh Szeps. And if that’s the case, then you might as well be Frank Stallone.
31:18 Norm speaking from my own heart ♥️
4:09 The poet who said "I shall die, but that is all that I shall do for Death" was the American Edna St. Vincent Millay, who as far as anyone knows never set foot in Australia. She did die (as promised) in Austerlitz, NY though, which is pretty close I guess.
Lol "I'm TORN actually..."
30:48 Lady! Lady!
“Take your filthy lucre … and make it filthier” 😂
"it's not something i would do" 😆
Ole Norm just loved to Fuck with hosts
Great job by Josh Kepps. Sometimes Norm pushed buttons that might shake/upset someone less prepared, but I think Josh surprised Norm with how well he handled everything; rather than be defeated by the outlandishness, he responded in-kind and got Norm's mind stirring again.
Norm was just keeping himself entertained. It wasn't personal.
While this isn't my favorite appearance of Norm's, he did make me laugh pretty hard a couple times. My favorites, though, would be some of the Larry King interviews, because Norm switches off a bit and gives more insight into who the person really is.
21:12 "oh i know lots of facts"
30:45 fellow and then lady brilliant subtle punchline
Noticed that
"I look like Nosferatu"
He's colder than a vampire's demeanor.
26:00 chappelle did this bit several years later.
Rogan won’t do shit or say shit about Dave stealing anyone’s jokes.
He's living in Wyoming with the buffalo going Ahhh!
WWSMD? If you stick to that… you’ll never go wrong lol
4:40 Australian Rules football versus "real" football 😆😆
Norm is the goat
I love everybody! You know what i mean? Huh!?! 😂
4:42 Australian Rules Football vs "Real" Football 😆😆😆
29:22 🤣🤣
Beware the hot chair 💺
@Happy the Dog thank you never 👀 this full interview...just all clips of it
"clips of it" Just don't click on INN. He sucks.
4:04 he is the patron Saint of gallows humour.
Norm is xanaxed out of his mind here
I think he's just tired or something.
@@grizzlywhisker He's on a lot of Xanax, but he was so smart he could be funny on a lot of Xanax.
Yeah I thought so too.
How many people saying Norm was eating zannies also happen to eat Xanax themselves? Can we get a show of hands? There’s a correlation…
@@LukeLongboneOfficial norm was open about his use of the drug Dumas
Wow, great interviewer! Others ought to take note.
Oh, i know lots of facts! 😂
31:51.
The song kills me.
31:37 straight people, i got no use for
You’re gonna get in a lot of trouble for this segment.
Josh is great in this. So, quite obviously, is Norm.
It’s so weird to see comments like this. Comparing a HuffPo interviewer guy with a legend.
30:35
First of all, do you even know what it stands for??
Hey Normy I know you’re up there now but possibly down there who knows you did too much gambling could be down there but anyway, if you’re up there make God laugh maybe he will take it easy on us down here sometimes I’m pretty sure you’re up there because if a person like you who was purely good and made people laugh is not up there, I don’t wanna be up there either
Norm playing chess.
This silly talking head playing checkers
I think the Aussie did pretty good.
@@EruIluvatar5 nice guy it seems. Just not an original thought in his head
I always think “what would seth meyers do?” Hilarious. Seth is not funny
First of all, I'd with start with how much I love Caitlyn Jenner. And how courageous I think she is.
I am against psycho sexual sadists who slay people. 31:05
23:64 you can see where Chapelle got his but from. I’m sure he asked norm
Lol. If he had asked, he would’ve said something about it publicly. It’s what comedians do to avoid being considered joke thieves, which Dave most likely is.
Ermmm I have a feeling using an acronym’s constituent parts and making jokes surrounding lgbt is probably easier to chalk up to parallel thinking
When Norm said "who told these people they were funny?" he was very clearly taking about the guy interview him.
Oh yes, old people are racist. Australians are particularly racist. 😂 32:15
He b high
Xanax, prescribed for panic attacks
yep
Norm did smoke weed…he smoked with Tom Segura..and he smoked a lot with Adam…
@@paulferranti8536 the exact substance he smoked with adam egert has never been confirmed
Seth meyers pfft. Theres a joke already
Oh! Letterman is funnier. 😂
The interviewer is smug and cringe with his soapbox interjections so Norm just takes it where he wants to. Total pro.
You can tell he's so weak at this point.
He’s just heavily medicated
