Thank you! It happened out of the blue. Suddenly my blue led volume mute indicator is on, the sound volume is not muted but no sound is coming from my HP Compaq laptop. I tried uninstall the sound driver but it doesn't work. I tried using a headphone and I can finally hear the sound. So it must be hardware problem. Not sure I'm gonna fix it myself, maybe someday. I'll just use my headphone for now.
Ya it could be. You could also try reinstalling the audio driver. That could also help.
@@EggheadFixers Thanks for the reply. Did installed it but still no sound from the laptop speaker and the blue led mute volume still on ;(
@@nutzhazel You could try reinstalling an older version of the driver. Does the audio work if you use headphones?
The only thing that worked before was enabling the onboard sound through the BIOS but the last win10 update seems to have removed that option..
Does the sound work when plug in headphones?

@@EggheadFixers when I need installing OS by USB port select drivers , didn't show any drive shows option , blank page , I tried for many times attempted fix it 🥺, but no any change , please if you idea help me.🙏

@@ahmedutuber You need to check in BIOS and make sure the Hard Drive is listed in what is called the boot list. If it isn't you will need to add it. When you are in BIOS make sure under system information you can see the Hard Drive listed there if it isn't there is a chance your Hard Drive may need replacing. Let me know how it goes:)

@@ahmedutuber Ya it does sound like you may need a new hard drive. Sometimes when a hard drive really dies the motherboard doesn't read it as being installed. Here is a video on how to replace your hard drive and install an operating system:

Do they work when hooked up to another device?
@@EggheadFixers the only time I was able to hear sound was when I had it plugged into tv hdmi. I've open laptop up disconnected the audio wire for the speakers plugged it back in reset pc and nothing. Thanks for your help

New desktop. No sound. Have checked for and installed updates. Still no sound. Settings show that I should have sound. Ready to set the computer on fire.

What if it's not even working with headphones
Then it's most likely not a problem with you speakers. What happens when you run the troubleshooter?
@@EggheadFixers The troubleshooter couldn't fix the issue. But l reinstalled windows 10 and it got fixed. Thanks anyway 😁
