In this video I will be completely disassembling and assembling an early 4 speed Harley Davidson Tranny / Gearbox. This is an Indepth video showing you step by step and little tips, tricks along the way. This video will be pretty generic between all 4 Speed gearboxes. If you're unsure about rebuilding your gearbox or getting someone else to do it, This is the video for you!
Sick vid bro! Greetings from Germany!
Thank you!
I learned a lot and will be watching while I build my nos 4 spread fx ratchet top
Phil, I’ve been loving your videos, super informative, keep up the great work mate!
I know you went over it a bit in Dale’s shovel build, but could you make an in depth video on wiring a cone shovel/vintage Harley? Would be sweet as since there aren’t any good videos on wiring these old bikes, mainly just people rambling lol
Phil good job on the transmission rebuild
Yes I have had a few comments on wiring these old things reliably. Ill do one in the near future on a standard ignition system and a battery free magneto system.
@@PhilsWorks that would be awesome, cheers!
Late to the party on this one but great video!
Thanks for the support!
Great fucking video mate
So many fucking little pointers to follow
Fucking love this fucking video
Helped me fucking rebuild my fucking 4 speed
Fucking thanks mate
Thanks for the fuckings. Love the language
@@PhilsWorks 👍 keep up the good fucking work
What’s the name of the impact screw driver you used to hit out the 4 screws holding the main shaft
Thanks
Umm they are pretty common! Your local hardware would point you in the right direction
Informative, Nice one 👍
Hey mate got any 4 speeds for sale or know anyone even if they need work
They are becoming harder to find than engines!
That’s it except for the vent screw.
That new bearring allready got wasted with all that knocking...
Bearing that thick can take heaps of Axial load. she'll be right mate
This was more of a disassemble/reassembly video....not much of a rebuild.
Don't let this parts changer tell ya anything phil, keep pushin...
Looks like pickle pudding🤢
What's the number for the bearing?
I can't get that one in search, only one with out flange. I can't read the last numbers on the box you show!
