Good morning from Napa, CA. Audrey! I stumbled upon your floss tube video today and just have to say, you come across like a friend that has the same interests and thoughts as myself. Living in Northern CA (about 45 minutes North of San Francisco) there just aren’t any super good needle craft stores. The closest one is in Alameda, called Needle In A Haystack, a good hour drive. You mentioned “The Attic” which is in Mesa Arizona. I visited a friend in Mesa and asked “are there any good needle craft stores around here” we googled stores and OMG, this store is the Mecca of samplers. The staff is incredibly helpful, great supply of cloth too. I plan on making a trip again there, but have a few projects to complete before I can justify going again. Please continue with the videos and be sure to list the patterns, material, and stores where you purchase from. Love what you’re doing and looking forward to welcoming you in my tv room when you post the videos.

Something funny: I was looking at your lamp, trying to figure out what kind of bird mask it was...not! Just the placement of the pillow looked like a beak and there was an eye. Did I confess to seeing faces in the oddest places? So now I have. My hubby always saw them once I explained but added, it makes you sound kooky. I'll take that!
You got the quote right. There's a video clip of online. That was my very first movie as a young child of nine. We'd been to the drive in but this was my first performance! It was wonderful! I still love Julie Andrews❤ The sheep look great!!
Ugh, I know! I was trying to tidy my desk and put away all the little things and I didn't know what to do with that pillow so I just stuck it there! Bet it did look funny!...And thank you! I am loving all those silly sheep on Shepherd's Song 😊
Wonderful video and lots of stitching. You are going to love Sophie Caine, I have to pull mine out again. I got behind on Carmelle as well because Sarah Milthorp and now Ann Jonson are my stitching projects, they are so enjoyable to stitch. I love the Scottish sampler from the Symposium. You were talking about the pin stitch and you are definitely right about knowing that it is working once you have to frog it. There was a discussion around confetti stitches or those single stitches with one symbol and people were asking if they used a pin stitch. Some do, some don’t but I found that a Vonna pin stitch (a posting on Instagram date 6.11.23) is great for those single stitches. I stitch coming up from the top right so I just do mine the opposite. But your back with the pin stitch is amazing. Not trying to steer you away from 56 count for the Lass project but you may want to try some of the specialty stitches on a practice piece especially the Queen stitch, I am still trying to wrap my head around those but once you get it, it is fine. I always enjoy having your company as I stitch. I do keep small, medium and large projects going at the same time so I can feel the progress and finishes while staying patient with 400x400. Thank you.

Yes, those Gutermann thread boxes come in a few different sizes and are perfect for 100.3s! I hope you enjoy the higher counts. I just love the tiny stitches! Thanks for watching! 😊
Love your stitches!! I have not stitched much in silk, what is your favorite kind? 1003?
Thank you so much! The 100.3 spooled silks from Au Ver A Soie are definitely my favorite but I really love Gloriana as well. The Gloriana silks, though, are 12 strands that have to be separated. Not hard, just adds a bit of time. If you are looking to try the 100.3s, there are a number of charts that take just one or very few colors that would be easy and inexpensive to kit up to try them out. Hope you find something you love! ❤️
