- Cliff Richard and the Shadows Tribute Band, Shadrock, got to perform with Cliff himself at Memorial Drive in Adelaide, 2004. Cliff was in Adelaide to play an exhibition tennis match and was so impressed with the band when he heard them play during their sound check that he decided to sing a few of his greatest hits with them. The band was: Keith Knight (Lead Singer), Devon Cook (Bass), John Hardick (Keys), Ian Sanders (Lead Guitar), Doug Johnson (Drums) Allen Fehlberg (Rhythm Guitar). RIP Stretch. Video: Jen Braid.

This guy has been a part of my life. My sister was the big fan and I was the little sister who had to listen to him over and over!’I fell for him too. He has the greatest voice and he’s gorgeous to look at! He’s doing well in this clip. He’s 60+ here!! Still sexy!❤️🌹💥

How epic for Sir Cliff to sing with a tribute band of his guys the Shads. The band sounded great! What an amazing guy to make their day. It had to be HUGE for them :D

I have to say that we (Shadrock) practised for nearly two years to get the sound of the Shadows as close as possible before we ever did a gig. It was a daunting task. I myself spent many hours listening over and over to Jet Harris' bass lines ...which were so cool and melodic. Our keyboard player Johnny had the job of emulating Norrie Paramour's orchestra. We eventually got a singer who sang very much like Cliff (Keith Knight, now in the band Auscatz which you can hear on RUclips). I remember when we eventually started personally recording our Shadows songs and many people said "Oh bullshit! That IS the Shadows" But it was us. That's what Cliff heard on the day and didn't hesitate to come and use us as his backing band. Great days, man.
Sorry to say there is none like the Shadows, but thanks for at least trying & practicing (good imitation) 👏👏😔🤔💌
