I really hope that UP 3985 makes a return to service during the next 5-10 years after receiving it's required maintenance repairs at the locomotive shop in Silvis, Illinois.

It's the same year when they put the UP 4-6-6-4 Challenger #3985 out of service for a 1472 hour boiler inspection.

It is a 1943 4-6-6-4-4, they started building the challengers in 1936 starting with the CSA-1s and they stopped building them in 1944 with the 4-6-6-4-5s
