- Steam trains are an iconic part of Americana, and the best time of year to see them is perhaps during the fall. Leaves changing, the weather cooling, steam plumes more vibrant: It's no wonder they are a leaf peeper's ideal mode of transportation.
Watch as four different steam locomotives operate through the fall in the Keystone State.
Strasburg Rail Road No. 90, a 2-10-0 Decapod built in 1924 plies the rails of the oldest railroad operating in the USA, the Strasburg Railroad of Strasburg, Pennsylvania.
Everett Railroad No. 11 rambles along the Everett Railroad of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania with the railroads various different fall themed excursions.
East Broad Top 16 leads a coal train through the last days of fall during a photo charter organized by Dynamo Productions.
Reading 2102 storms across the Reading & Northern Railroad during the annual Fall foliage specials from Reading, to Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.
The sound of those Steam Train’s,idk they just sound so nice! 😮
I always loved watching things that I really like the most! My favourite things in the world are trains! Glad you share them with us!
Nice captures of the 4 different steam locomotives 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Very good footage of Everett 11 dyamno productions when was foot of number 11 filmed last year?
Idk why but fall imo is one of the best times to film steam when the colors change and the weather gets cooler, making steam exhaust be more visible before winter comes.
I would say fall is THE best time to film steam although all seasons are great in their own way. It has the most variety out of any season, and it's when a lot of steam operations have their big excursions or photo charters, so you can get a huge amount of variety.
Yeah I agree
All in the state of Pennsylvania, huh.
Amazing Shots of the four different Steam Locomotives! Excellent Video!
Thank you very much!
