Sky texture is so good! I'm working on a 3D project and it is an absolute beast. You can combine two sky textures with different settings for even better lighting 😅
Hey Derek! I just discovered your channel a few days ago and couldn't stop completely binging your content. Absolutely lovely aesthetic, presentation, your way of speaking, visual identity, .... I could go on for hours. Thank you so much for everything. Can't wait to go through the wine course as well once I have a few quiet hours, thank you! :)
Amazing. So simple yet so powerful. One thing that i plan to do in the morning is make this world setup as default in my blender startup file. That way i will be ready to go with every new project.
Threw this onto a project first thing this morning! I've been doing more product renders as of late, and your videos are coming in clutch! Thank you for these!
Interesting, i have a similar workflow for basic glare reflection lighting in a motion graphic tutorial i made, i never thought of using the Sky shader node in tandem with Voronoi noise, but it has a nice effect to it. Well done
Just took a peek, cool video! Everyone check out this dudes videos! I did originally utilize this setup for some simple reflections on a product with a screen that was off so similar use case
Thanks for the amazing tutorial! I suppose at 7:09 you have to uncheck the Clamp checkbox in the Map Range node to make this node works as power of the light, because otherwise it is equivalent to changing the sliders of the Color Ramp
if you want to see what i mean by fixing audio i can reverb audio in this video snd send you so you can see diff and then you can do it yourself after that.. should i?
your work it fire, love it... and your audio in the video is absolute trash, it hurts my years, you need to reverb it and remove those sharp pitches that can be heard after every work you say. please make audio better i wanna see ore videos but your audio is bad
This is the exact lighting I was struggling to do a month ago thank you for a succinct tutorial! 🙇
Derek, you're just amazing, thank you for the content. Your lessons are the most useful for me. If you're reading this, have a nice day!!!!!

Hi, do you combine them with a Mix Shader?
@@onurerbay7672 Hi! With mix node set to color, not the mix shader 🥰
@@Dantti u have an example?
Another video within a week?! You're on the grind Derek. Love this video. Great and simple concept!
I know this is definitely a record for me haha. Doubt you'll see another one too soon but maybe!
@@DerekElliott keep it up and you’ll be at 500K subs quickly! ;-)
@@KaizenTutorials you'll definitely beat me to 500k
Really appreciate that you explain each node you add and why rather than just rapidly lay out a cookbook recipe. Thank you!
We love you too Derek, the quality of your video is incredible.
The amount of free tutorial...Thank you thank you Derek
NOICEEEE- I love these small snippet style tutorials for something so complex as lighting.

Is it possible to render a scene with no light influency? I mean the same way Blender shows the scene with the Viewport in Material Preview mode.
Great! Could you do a tutorial on Baking Normal Maps for the purpose of adding texture or patterns 🙏

wow, like a procedural hdri
I wonder when you'll jump in and try Geometry Nodes (if you haven't already). Thanks for sharing!
once everyone else makes tutorials on it then I will follow them :) there are already a ton out there so I shouldn't wait much longer!
Awesome
Very interesting! Do you think this is a viable lighting setup for characters?
Yes, you can definitely use this for characters
Hey I'm trying to get into 3d animation on a budget, is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 a good GPU or the Nvidia Quadro P1000 better?
I'm not positive but I used a 1080 for a very long time and it got me places
@@DerekElliott alright, thanks for replying, I'll try it out.

Can you make how to get realistic fabric Texture In blender?
That would be a good one! I do some simple fabrics in my shoe materials video but using image textures is better usually
@@DerekElliott yes please, like using image textures fabric texture for clothes maybe?

Hi

Please get a pop filter for your mic, its nearly unbearable while listening on a headset lol.
