Hop-Along Cassidy (1935) | Western Movies & Cowboy

Hop-Along Cassidy (reissued as Hopalong Cassidy Enters) is a 1935 American Western film that features the character Hop-Along Cassidy created by writer Clarence E. Mulford. This is the first of 66 Hopalong Cassidy films produced between 1935 and 1948 and all starring William Boyd in the title role. William Boyd was originally offered the role of Buck Peters, the ranch foreman, but he decided to take the role of Hop-Along instead.

que invenção é essa de Hop-Along Cassidy, isso nunca existiu, Hopalong Cassidy, interpretado por William Boyd, marcou minha infância, na década de 50, tanto no cinema em preto e branco, como nos quadrinhos em aventuras que era apresentado numa revista semanal, "O GURI", que também continha outros heróis como Tom Mix, Nyoka, Capitão Meia Noite, entre outros.

I just watched a Tim McCoy movie that I hadn't seen before
(Riding Tornado). I haven't seen this one either.
Tim McCoy and Bill Boyd are my favorite B-western stars.

Thank you for giving the correct year. I knew this wasn't made in the mid 30s because Russell Harlan, as Lucky Jenkins, was gone during the WW2 years. Somehow the quality of the Hoppy films of the 40s weren't as good as the prior decade.
