I love that gan came out with this cube it doesn’t have the best of every thing but it is all good enough and I really don’t see how you can not like this cube
a 4x4 does not have 96 pieces i think it has 64 pieces because if you say that each side has 16 pieces and there are six sides, pieces overlap. To solve this issue, you can say each layer has 16 pieces and there are four layers, giving it 4*16=64 pieces
You are forgetting all of the inner pieces that you cannot see. There are 24 center pieces 24 edges you can see 8 corners 12 large internals 24 small internals That equals 92. The same as a 5x5.
Gan has said SM stood for Superspeed Magneto but then came out with multiple other things it could mean. Sometimes like GTS it’s just a random set of letters because the head of the company “likes cars” as was said on Facebook.

G perms are one of the easiest. I have a whole video on it. It's just a G-permruclips.net/video/3sXxfTPljB8/видео.html N perms are either just (R’ U L’ U2 R U’ L)2x or what I find to be faster is R U R’ U (J perm) then reverse set up moves. Then just do he mirror.
