Love it. One thing I never will understand, in a universe with many large vehicles that can hover (Jabba's sail barge anyone?) why this is considered "all-terrain" is beyond me. It's slow, and rather silly for an armored transport. One wrong step, and boom, it falls over. But i'll always love it anyways lol
Is there a canon in-universe explanation as to how the Snowtroopers actually get down from the "staging area" to the ground? It's like a 15 metre drop. Do they have to be lowered down on ropes or something? If so, it's not exactly the most efficient design for a troop transporter lol.
The in universe explanation is the sail barge and other vehicles like it operate on repulsorlift technology to stay off the ground. This is fine on a lot of planets, but on others there are gravity distortions that prevent the repulsorlifts from working and make those vehicles useless. Additionally there are man made defensive weapons that can prevent those vehicles from working. So the AT-AT (and AT-ST, etc.) exist for worlds like that and just generally are more reliable. The repulsorlift tech is kinda easily damaged and can be messed with, so it’s not as reliable.

First off, let me just say that I will likely never be able to afford an $800 Lego set. Now that that is out of the way, I really enjoyed this video as this is a product I'll probably never get but loved watching you showcase. One of the biggest things I noticed about this set is that booklet #3 shows building the canopy as well as the head, but by the end of the third booklet we do not build the head. The 3rd box itself however is accurate in showing we only build the canopy and neck. But I agree with this whole review. It’s a tremendous, incredible set.
After 12 years, I finally started getting back into Lego (Makes me wish I never threw them away). Started off by buying a few smaller sets- The Final Battle, A New Hope escape, etc, but these UCS sets are something I’m going to start saving up for. Sheesh, what an absolute monster. Congratulations but 6 hours is like insane world record speed. Idk how you did that…
well y'know he runs a youtube channel and everything so...
@@MandRproductions tbh I put each small piece into separate colors, once I do that I have to scan and picture what would make it faster, then I put them all together into the build.. It’s a simple picture for me but thank you.
It’s crazy how much people care for minifigs
wow the gloves on one of the minifigs are the wrong color i dont think thats “cheaping out” it was also wrong in the other set the minifig was in i simply think they didnt notice that detail. It obviously wasnt “cheaping out” in the other set because it wouldnt cost anymore doing white gloves instead of black.
Exactly lol. He’s been overreacting to a lot of things lately, and I feel like he does it just to hate on LEGO as a company
It's an $800 Lego set, for that much they should have brought back the UCS snowspeeder pilot torso with arm printing for Luke
@@IronFishChannel that would’ve been nice. I forgot about that figure lol. Wish we got some printed arm figs in the ucs Falcon tho
@@IronFishChannel that is true but to be fair lego fans would probably get mad cause the whole “no exclusive minifigs in the gunship”thing
I just must ask--)how troopers get of AT-AT(i mean do AT-AT lie Down like horse?,...)
Awesome looking set! Just wish it was a little more affordable to 90% of LEGO fans 🤣
The snow trooper is actually a lieutenant not a commander and we saw in the 2014 one of this snow trooper lieutenant
This set will be forever remembered, but it sure raised the standards of any UCS set.
