As an old Lineage 2 player and enjoyer this is the only thing i look forward too anymore , can't wait for the full release.
I will try it out of desperation, even if it's only a few months it will break up the monotony. Great detail in this video and transparency. I don't mind soft p2w {since it's such a technical meaning I say soft} but if it's too excessive then it definitely steers me away.
Update ,traits can be rerolled soon and skill expression is coming on release making skill tress for skills unique asweel as a bind o. Pick up rune system

For NA players thinking about it, played kor server tryhard. It's not light p2w its on another level at one point had 2 battle-passes in store & if you think new world had mega corps controlling servers just you wait. Unless amazon completely revamps drops, bots & the store game will be shortly lived. Bones/graphics were good and I had some solid fun but got to the point fairly quickly where the grind wasn't worth my time.

@AdamNisenziSpisak why? It is simple, if you were a WoW player, you won't like it (pve is bad and out dated). If you were a lineage 2 player, you won't like it ( pvp is bad and not open world).
This video is outdated it’s been stated they’ve already handled 90% of the issues in regards to p2w and grinding in the game

Great video. I really like the artsy titles from moving from topic to topic. It's cool and unique. I'm lowkey hoping not to get hooked TnL as I don't want to swipe but also lowkey I'm hoping to enjoy it as Lost Ark is just dedge for me and there is no other new MMO on the horizon aside from this.
I got bored at around level 48~49. I guess I just didn't understand the easiest method to level cap.

Combat is really fun for me ,I like the block skill when monster are around the sound effect timing for press block and rotate skill CD is really fun to play. (i play sword and shield)

i try the game and in my opinion it needs 2 things to not fail. the market should be whit ingame currency (make it so the free player can only sell and you need a subs to buy itens) this will force players that whant to progress to subs to buy the itens that they need. the combat need more skills (they should create more combo skills) like 1.2.3 (like guild wars 2 the first skill. ) or like ff14 is doing in dawntrail. put the 3 part of the combo in 1 input. sorry if its confuse.

All of this sounds amazing to me. I can def see me getting 300 hour out of T&L, 500-800 if I get lucky and find a good guild to play with.
And at this point; I'm 'fine' with having to spend $30 a month to have my best shot at 'keeping up' w gear and score.

Played on console closed beta and loved great sword+ staff early game and then switched to dagger and staff late game for bossing.

If I am not forced to play alts and the P2W is lesser than in Lost Ark. I am for sure going to play/try this out.
Can't believe he didn't mention that enhancing and upgrading your gear can not ''fail'' like in BDO and other games.
Edit: Part of the video is now outdated. They just fixed the p2w. Traits are not a problem anymore and the auction house is now 90% useless.

This is insanely good. MS2 and Dragonica were insane when it comes to farm necessary to MAYBE upgrade your gear... (Both being Korean MMOs)

as much as i hate fail mechanics, they include Pity system and downgrade protection just to keep the playerbase constantly on the grind.
T&L is no different just because its not failing, its still the most tedious shit to do. esp trying to reach level 9 gear.

Game has me interested, the combat looks a bit slow (although I am coming from BDO and Lost Ark so that makes sense,) but my main concern is the heavily group/guild centered progression. If the game doesn't have a great launch or as soon as player numbers start dropping, not being able to solo everything will become a problem.

I played the CBT, tbh if they crack down on the amount of allies you can have then the game will be good. It’s basically the biggest guild with the most allies wins. There’s no such thing as individual play it’s all based on numbers which is stupid because in my serve I was in one guild was taking all the events all the bosses etc it was dumb

The moment I was made aware of this game and saw that NCSOFT was the developer, I knew it was going to turn out this way. It's a shame.

So much more weapons they should have added…. musket,Grimoire,Spear,Scythe,Hammer…. The list goes on.
Hopefully this gets enough support to just keep adding more and more

uh, you can't? they get farmed and they listed on the AH, all items that are purchasable are farmed within the game by a player (or bot kekw)

Sounds a lot like ArcheAge honestly, and it just might go the same route in the west which is certainly a cause for concern. But i will at least give it a fair shot once it comes out for us and see if its something i can tolerate playing for a longer term
@KanonXO To help me understand the P2W advantage of this game let's say I'm a whale fully traited out with an R class weapon and an average skill level of Gold.
We 1v1 same class, how much better than me skill-wise do you have to be to beat me? (As a F2P player playing 4-5 hours a day with whatever weapon and traits you have.)
There's a hardcap on gear. The p2w player will have a big advantage until f2p player has caught up. Once they are both capped there is NO p2w advantage no matter how hard you whale.
The only p2w advantage would be rare arch boss items that are BiS and that will be very hard to get for f2p.

So if you're worried about equal PvP just wait until you catch up before participating.

It will go well at the start like every other game. People will like and people will hate it, just like every other MMO. But it wont stand out being a brillant game.

how is the support gameplay? is it boring like in lost ark ?
Mostly cc/debuff/heal skills during content, the main support build is wand that has most of the healing skills of the game, you can combine it with a Bow or Staff for a "meta" healer build. You can go hybrid dps/healing mage with mage or a Tanky utility healer with Bow depending in your gameplay preference

Grappling hook is not an ability. It's an interaction object that you experience in the tutorial. You will be finding them often in the world and in some dungeon instances.

I HATE that good loot basically will belong always to the same large guilds therefore blocking anyone not part of them (or it as at one point one large guild with come over). I also dislike that everyone can just do everything. Why would you ever look for a stable group when you can do everything at all time?
Korean server player here, the game is perfectly balanced in terms of pvp. Do not afraid with the "Pay2win" aspect, it almost didnt impact anything in pvp especially in large scale pvp. I'm a f2p player since day 1 until now i can kill everyone at siege war. The game itself is really fun and worth to play and btw the game is casual friendly. CANT WAIT FOR GLOBALLLL !!!! (ps sorry for my bad english)

(Im a newly father btw so my playtime isnt that long) just ignore all those youtubers that saying “pay2win” ruining TNL without playing the game until end game gear. Especially if you using greatsword/dagger weapon combo u can almost kill everyone except Tank. When using that kind of weapon even u can win in a 1v1 against “whale” players

We know this script and how it ends over time as player power keeps increasing and the gap gets wider between F2P and P2W players. This is the same dance and song all over again. I guess at least it doesn't have honing.
19:50 I know nothing about this game but logically speaking if Guilds control these omega weapons then there are no F2P players getting them.
Yes there are players getting them for free but these players belong to the best Guilds who are only recruiting the highest spenders or making sure their highest spenders are the ones who get the amazing drops.
Maybe I'm wrong about this with Throne since I don't know the intricacies of the game but this is how it works in every other MMO with a similar system.
Get better, get into good guild, problem solved. Stop blaming others for something when progression of your character only depends on you, not on others.
when it comes to Throne, I've learned to avoid your videos, Kanon - I think you're a bit biased towards the game tbh - but this one is extremely grounded and you talk about all the good points as well as the bad in a very unbiased and objective way, which I really appreciated. Now in regard to TL it’d sweet if Amazon removed/change a few things, regardless im going to play but how long will depend on what they do.
Still waiting for a good long lasting game that has BDO style combat (The character abilities). Haven’t found one yet. Blade and soul was the only one I’ve played, whose combat I enjoyed (didn’t enjoy much else tho).
yeah lets skip the part this game runs by bots and multiboxing but is oke game is fine if u enjoy it and can deal with it ( unless the changed the tagging system that i dont know about )

The lucent and the mechanics that support toxic behaviour (e.g. mob stealing, stealing event rewards by participating events made for low level chars) killed the game for me

For the game to be worth playing as an MMORPG. It has to be more than just hardcore competitive stuff. It has to be more than just PvP & difficult dungeon bosses.
Having a good story rather than fetch quests. Likeable/memorable NPCs. Things to do besides grinding & PvP.
if u want a good story go play ff14, literally all other mmo stories are trash

been playing guild wars 2 for a minute. throne and liberty being primarily a big guild pvp game is right up my alley but i'm still unsure if this game is right for me. maybe i'll tune in for more content i guess. the p2w doesn't seem too bad in this game, and theres no crafting rng which i absolutely loathe, so there is that
