Your videos are always worth the watch. I've been living full time in my van for 1 full year as of 5/15 and I still find little nuggets of wisdom on your channel Amanda so thank you so much. As always, safe travels Peace
So in my minivan i decide on a multitasking safety feature for the passenger front seat …. I have it slid all the way forward to maximize room on that side and over the head rest i have several wool knit caps , then a small pillow case that has a random face printed on it and topped with a baseball hat … to complete the illusion on the seat right under the head i have a backpack that has a waterproof cover made out of an old coat. I cut slits in the back for the straps to fit into and then added zippers to the slits so it can still functions as a coat the four outer pouch pockets and two inner pockets contain all my supplies for daily hygiene and are paired with an old pair of pants that has wash clothes, towels and laundry bags … When all set up in the seat it looks like a person is there… i even have a fake phone made from an old case and the gut of a driveway solar light sewn to a glove i can put in MR Bill’s hand
Lucky this Amanda. I used to use cat litter for my toilet when I switched over to pellets... what a difference! easier to handle there's absolutely no smell it's the best. Going to go get my strainer today for my sink. Thanks for all the great ideas.
I’ve gotten so many great ideas from you. I bought the same toilet on your recommendation and it’s been great for two years already. I actually store mine in one of those collapsible ottomans with a lid and it fits great in there.
Awesome suggestions!! I use many of the same as you; DT is a great resource for vanlife. I also use a bungie cord to hold my spray bottles. You and Matty are both so clever. Thank you!!❤
Bungee cords are awesome - lol - and Magnetics! Now you are talking! We have so many magnetic things in our van - including storage and to hang things! We went the NO BUILD approach, so finding things that work are fantastic and sometimes challenging. Nice tips/hacks - very helpful ideas! Keep making memories & adventure on! ~Karen & Shannon WOY
Thank you sooo much for explaining and showing in detail how you hook things up. So many RUclipsrs just say they did, but don't show HOW! I'm not very "crafty" and have had a hard time hanging up curtains, etc.
Everybody still wants to know, but always afraid to ask how van lifers handle their #1 and #2 priorities. You did a great job on this video too. I'm getting some of those binder clips and will use your amazon link/s. Thanks Amanda!
I just how uou are so matter of fact. I have large binder clips I use for hanging my cotton towels for privacy if I need to pull over to potty. Warning! If you go in the north western part of Washington into some of the forest areas, there are not alot of public restrooms unless you are a customer!
@@AdventuringWithAmanda I got the mini stove like you have today, I think I went to amazon for your channel. Thanks for the info on the stove. I love it, it’s such a great space saver.
Get a clothes moving box with the bar in the center to hang clothes. That way your dressy clothes is hung on hangers. That’s how I keep my suits nice and wrinkled free. Also get a coleman cot to put a twin memory foam mattress on it, it’ll give you more storage space underneath and you could even put a small bed for your pup under it. Gives him space to walk around and put pee pee pads if he needs to go when you’re sleeping at night 😊
@@AdventuringWithAmanda I love my cot because I can put duffel bags and other stuff underneath so it helps a lot. At least it works for me. Mine is a 2009 Town & Country very versatile minivan.
As always a great video. I have been following you for some time and this Memorial weekend I will be taking my van out for the first time. I would love to share pictures with you 😜
Thank you so much! I actually got more ideas from this short video then I have from numerous videos of what. And thanks for keeping it real! Cuz 💩 happens, to all of us! On that note, where do you dispose of such? And also your urine buckets? Are there any good or not-so-good places? You can't just dump it anywhere right?

Omg The cd case turned cord storage is GENIUS!
I love the cd holder idea also, and having what it belongs to also - genius!!
Same here I'm gonna using that right away. Thank you so much for all the great. tkps
I don't even live in a van and I've been using ziploc baggies for cord storage and this cd case idea is LIFE CHANGING
Those are all great hacks! It never crossed my mind about a pummous stone for dog hair, genius idea!👏
The CD case to hold and organize charging cords is a great idea. I need one for my house!
Love the binder clip idea and all others!!!😊
Thanks so much! 😊
My goal in life is to keep my RV as clean as your van with a dog!

@@AdventuringWithAmanda doubles as a seat 😊
My first road trip sleeping in my minivan I used bungees , clips and magnets to secure my window screens
My toilet is similar to yours, except it is higher up and folds up like a small metal chair. Thanks for all the tips!
a pumice stone for getting pet hair out of the car rug? BRB-trying it right now! Thanks
I have that same toilet. Love it!

Thanks Amanda, this was very helpful. I will be buying a camper van soon and this video gave me a lot of good tips. I love your videos 😊
I watched the video twice to try to soak up all the info. Then I realized you pinned it below. Thank you.

Agreed.
Wow about to start minivan camper life these are awesome ideas...some I thought but lots I had not! Thank you!
I think the pine pellets may be better for the environment than kitty litter...Ceretainly smells better!
Much useful information...! Great job!

Nice table only 5 bucks 👍😁
Awesome ramp. I have one for my 15 y.o. Blanca.
Very helpful, thank you.
Thank you Amanda and Winston. I learned a lot today
All great ideas! Thank you for sharing! I always hear so many birds when you are at your home base! 🐦🏘️❤
My house has a desert wash in the back, so we get lots of bunnies and birds! ❤️
Great ideas. I would probably substitute the bleach with alcohol though so that it does not spill over or mess up the car
Superbly organized. Good tips!
Thank you very much for great tips
Love all your ideas, thank you for sharing!
Good ideas, thanks for sharing, Many Blessings, safe travels,

Your SO ORGANIZED ❤ im trying to minimaluze, my rig is extreme tiny
Pine pellets seem to be the best option for the #2 van situation.
great ideals !!!
Brilliant. Well done 👍

I don't travel with any dress clothes. I had a cot but hated it. Since I'm a minimalist, I have plenty of space.

That's exciting! Feel free to email photos or send them via Instagram. 😍 Info in my bio or video description!
Kitty litter works for the potty bucket as well
But it's messier and more dusty.
Wow you have the best tips I have seen so far, love it ❤ I'm new, gave a 👍 and subscribed
I love your tapestry, where did you find it?

Hello from Voronezh
For cleaning dishes, do you mix the vinegar and water half and half?
I do 1 part water, 3 parts vinegar.
So many good ideas
How do you secure the shelves in the trunk so that it doesnt turn over while driving
Bungee cords.
