This insight here from Hoeg 2:06:38 (2:09:00) is gold. The act of 'resting' is a form of productivity because it is the natural cycle. I also get the rising feeling of anxiety if I am doing some indulgent activity for too long. But as I've gotten older, I realize that we all have stamina bars -- they are just not seen, but felt (how much easier would life be if we could quantify in a more tangible way, it like in a videogame). And when we are younger, the stamina bar seems limitless (not just stamina, but mental capital). But when we get older, we start hitting that cap more often, so that's when resting and recharging comes into play. I think a lot of us are programmed to grind, and so this mindset shift needs to happen -- great nuggets of therapy insights.

I also made a comment on that section of the discussion. It's kind of an interesting topic. There's a youtuber called HealthyGamerGG that focuses his entire channel on mental health and video games (yes, he's a mental health professional). I don't watch everything he does, but he's had some real gems on his channel!

2:06:00 and for the next 10 ish minutes - they kind of dive into mental health and stress and productivity.
I think it's also worth taking into account differences in how brains work... like with ADHD sometimes you almost need to feel a little pressure or anxiety to become productive because that stress focuses your mind gives you the power to push less important things aside where otherwise they might very easily distract you.
Even the whole idea of ADHD or other things is interesting on its own. I've heard theories ADHD (as one example of maybe several different ways of thinking) is almost like a deeply ingrained trained behavior from being around a lot of tension/stressful situations when you were really young, and your body trains itself to mentally check out of a situation if you have no control over it or it isn't an immediate priority. I can easily let myself waste a lot of time if nothing is urgent, because I tend to be super big on saving money, and I feel like video games are one of the most cost-effective ways to get cheap entertainment.
Now why I'm really big on saving money is an entirely different question to ask... I've never had to budget because I never have had a desire to live beyond my means... I also have no problem using credit for every expense and just paying the card off every time I get paid. Plenty of others I know other people have to actively fight their urges to spend in order to stay in a budget.
This isn't all directly related to stress/time management, but it's all tied together with how we value our time and what motivates us... which I think it's somewhat relevant to that mental health discussion they had at the timestamp above.

When GTA 6 is pushed back, they should go back and fix the game awards to give most anticipated game to... probably MH Wilds IMO, but I'm sure others would disagree.
