I really like that whistle. I see the engines have a new type of cinder catcher/spark arrestor, a much smaller style like the Colorado narrow gauge uses.
I love the train so much, and my family took me and two friends here literally just a couple days before this video was published! That's pretty darn cool, I think. :P
Ok never been to Dollywood, hope to get there in the near future and catch this steamer and of course e joy the park and the smiley maintains. All these shooting points are the all accessible within the park?
Ryan and Jacobtheawsomes Vlog Rode at same time the next Saturday, they were only open till midnight on July 1&8, and a lot of people got on at 10:30, and she was crawling.
SmokyMtnSteam Cinderella started a fire sometime last year right before the bridge into Timber Canyon, and they had to evacuate the train and shut down all rides above that, the only ride that didn't shut down was lightning rod.
Have you tried importing the files to your computer and editing/uploading from there? Back when I still used a Mac I used to sometimes have trouble uploading from iMovie, it may be an Apple issue.
I'm pretty neutral towards it, but it does kinda give her a Rio Grande look as opposed to the more fitting Southern or White Pass look. I'd prefer it gone but it certainly doesn't ruin the look of the locomotive. Dollywood has certainly done worse, remember the big balloon stacks?
Klondike Katie is a favorite engine, we’ve ridden her numerous times!!! What a sweet sound that steam whistle makes!!!
I like that you showed engine 107 at the beginning most people don't know about the locomotive.
glad too See 192 after so long
So glad I got to see Katie again I always rode her as a kid but then they started using Cinderella as the main engine I am 11
I love me some Klondike Katie and Cinderella.Awsome video
I really like that whistle. I see the engines have a new type of cinder catcher/spark arrestor, a much smaller style like the Colorado narrow gauge uses.
Ha that’s good because I got a few cinders in my eyes last time I rode it!
It still give off plenty of cinders
I love the train so much, and my family took me and two friends here literally just a couple days before this video was published! That's pretty darn cool, I think. :P
I love 192. That Crosby is amazing, but the southern 3 chime it has now fits 192 best in my opinion
It was cool being there and being close to a standard gauge steam locomotives I like them more then modern locomotives
Has Dollywood ever done or going to do a doubleheader
Not to my knowledge
@@SmokyMtnSteam that’s to bad.
I love the new smokestack on #192.
Ok never been to Dollywood, hope to get there in the near future and catch this steamer and of course e joy the park and the smiley maintains. All these shooting points are the all accessible within the park?
All of the locations in this video are easily accessible in the park and can be seen on the park map.
SmokyMtnSteam thank you, just have to plan a trip. I appreciate it
Man it's so weird how small these engine are after I got off southern 630 in the cab
I like how the funnel looks identical to the ones at the Durango and Silverton
The spark arrestor 192 wore in 2017 & 2018 is gone now, she has a plain stack again now
It's a shame, I thought it looked pretty cool
I rode Klondike Katie 10:30 at night on July 1st 2017 not much people where riding so it was fast
Ryan and Jacobtheawsomes Vlog Rode at same time the next Saturday, they were only open till midnight on July 1&8, and a lot of people got on at 10:30, and she was crawling.
DW 192 cool I am 11 and I've gone to dollywood since I was one the trains are awesome
Ryan and Jacobtheawsomes Vlog is this the 192 fan group
Ryan and Jacobtheawsomes Vlog I remember when I think it was 70 and we were hauling
Trainboy1922simon
I wonder why they put a spark arrestor on Katie? I have no problem with it, and it looks good, but it adds unneeded height to the smokestack.
I cant say for certain but its probably a response to last year's wildfire.
SmokyMtnSteam Cinderella started a fire sometime last year right before the bridge into Timber Canyon, and they had to evacuate the train and shut down all rides above that, the only ride that didn't shut down was lightning rod.
SmokyMtnSteam then why don't they convert their steam engines to oil?
I think a spark arrester is a bit cheaper.
I didn't know that 70 had started a fire, makes sense that they'd want arrestors then. And how ironic that Lightning Rod became the only ride open.
I love that frickin smokestack that is cool
What camera do you use
Sorry for the late reply, this was shot on a Sony a6000. I've since moved to shooting 4K on a Sony AX53.
What kind of whistle is on Katie?
Conductor said it is a Crosby 3-chime
SmokyMtnSteam what's 190's?
It's also a Crosby 3 chime.
It has now been transferred to Cinderella, and should be on her until the end of the season.
Great video!
I went towards the end of June but I’m having serious trouble uploading the video from my iPhone since I got iOS 11
Have you tried importing the files to your computer and editing/uploading from there? Back when I still used a Mac I used to sometimes have trouble uploading from iMovie, it may be an Apple issue.
I don’t have a Mac and yes, I’ve tried that, it won’t let it save to my desktop with out failing halfway through
I'm glad that Katie is back in service, but I really don't like the new spark arrestor.
Well I like it. Besides, it serves it purpose. It catches sparks from escapin' from her stack.
Anything is better than those balloons.
Tri-Cities Railfan just subscribed to you
Yeah I remember those as a kid, they were bigger than Donald Trump's ego. But I think the spark arrestors are very important
What video editor do you use
I edit with Sony/Magix Movie Studio 13 Platinum
Similar looking smoke stack to the Durango and Silverton and Cumbre's and Toltec steam engines.
Crater Films they added a spark arrester
Trainboy192 I already knew that.
That's because they're based off of the plans of the D&S spark arrestor.
