Wow! One the most stunningly moving pieces I have ever seen. Amazing lead and amazing backup. It was brilliant how you began quiet and allowed the emotion to build up until the crescendo. You are an emotionally intelligent group. I follow acapella avidly, but this is something rare.
Truly incredible. I wonder if the members of the Zac Brown Band have heard this and what they think. That kid sang the hell out of this song. Truly remarkable.
I get chills listening to this. I got chills from the original also, but this gives me a brand new way to love "Colder Weather".

Gentleman- you are amazing! I loved how the lead singer could sing so smoothly in the softer parts, but then pull out all the gritty strength on the loud parts.
You would have won the sing-off with this song too. What a great arrangement and lead vocals.

And after you crush The River, perhaps they could ease the suffering of this a cappella vet with a rendition of Fire? The Boss never should've given that one away to the Pointer Sisters, it has too much heart, just like these young men.

... Give me a minute here, I need to charge the paddles and jump-start the ol' ticker after watching this.
This is, without qualification, the very best example of dynamics in a cappella arrangement that I've ever heard. I'm trying to remember who even comes close in the 20 years I've closely followed collegiate a cappella and the list is exceedingly short. Then before I complete the mental inventory, I get another lingering full-body shiver from the emotions that dripped all through Austin's solo. Oh, and that moment Justin drops a double-time beat on us at the top of the chorus...damned right I leapt out of my seat and fished the lighter from my pocket, we all know an anthem when we hear one.
In conclusion let me just say.....
Zac Brown Band? Who?? You must be mistaken, they just covered it. Colder Weather is a Melodores song, those boys caught lightning in a bottle when they cut that track. 😉
If anyone still watches this, do you know the name if the man who sings the bass vocals? I sing the deepest bass vocals in my hs a capella group and would live to know his name. And maybe surpass him one day😂

It's amazing by the Melodores(I more than like it by them), but I'm not fan of Zac Brown Band's sound. Every time this song used to come on the radio I used to change the station it just didn't do it for me.
