I enjoy seeing what gear other guys are using. I’m a hammock camper too, always sleep well. Keep up the good work! 👍👍

I had to sleep in a tent for my latest four day trip and I hated it 😂
Gotta get used to it for Utah though, can’t hammock above tree line lol

I use the exact same cook system as you do. I have a bunch of alcohol systems and canister systems but no matter what I cannot get the other systems as low a weight as the Esbit.

It's great for stuff like freeze dried meals and Ramen. When it's cold and I want to cook something quick or make a meal in my pot I'd rather just use gas lol

True. That or build a fire.

@@mattkreitzer5622 Right. I find my style of backpacking always leads me to get into camp right before dark. More often than not I don’t build fires anymore. I usually pack in higher mileage days so I don’t burn my PTO and can do more trips each year. On the lower mileage/easy trips I’ll do a fire. I do enjoy it, just find myself not making them often.

Poor brooks and his water bottle tipping over😅. Going to have to try setting up a trip with the three of us this season!

I've had it. I'm more of a red meat person lol. I think sweet pork and rice, beef stroganoff and the venison country casserole are my top three. Thanks for watching!

The Talenti container for overnight oats is genius.

Where in WNF is water safe to filter? Really want to go but the whole water thing kind of makes me hesitant. Love the videos man keep up the great work!!

The threat of heavy metals is present anywhere in WNF. If you have a filter like a Grayl that removes heavy metals you can filter there. If not, just stash water. I’ve done both.
