      @@paultaylorphotography9499 Yes, I'm not sure what you mean by progress, I had a similar process within 10 years of my 'retirement' my boss told me i was entitled to 4 weeks pay, which was logically crazy, since i was close to 25 years service, I challenged them and took them to mediation, I got a years pay + my long service my boss was dismissed a couple of years later! I would love to catch up sometime either close to your place or mine! .

      @@paultaylorphotography9499 well done Paul! I hope you got a good severance payout! There’s no doubt in my mind that journalism and news is changing! I went through a similar process 5 years ago! Looking back it was worth engaging a lawyer and calling them (my employer) out on their errors!

    • @paultaylorphotography9499
      @paultaylorphotography9499  5 месяцев назад

      @@tonymckeage1028 hey mate yeah a few people have mentioned lawyers but I don't think there's much to be done as the company have just restructured and we being visual journalists have been cut with the journalists now being rebranded multi media journalists I just think it's a sign of the times digital photography has made it easier for everyone to grab an acceptable photo. My payout was ok it'll tie me over until I start a new venture or two haha in an ideal world this channel will kick off and pay me enough to live off at the moment tho 20nzd a week is a tad too low 🙄😀

    Stunning. I really like your IR photography. Is there a more budget friendly camera other than the x-pro2 that you would recommend for conversion to IR? I’d really like a converted camera. It looks like the x-T20 has the same sensor and it’s quite a bit cheaper. Is there a reason to go with the x-pro2 over something like that?

    • @paultaylorphotography9499
      @paultaylorphotography9499  16 дней назад

      Hey cheers mate appreciate it. Absolutely any camera is worth conversation only reason I chose to do the xpro2 is because I love the thing but wasn't using it much. Now after conversation it's always with me. Good luck on your choice you're gonna love IR

    Curious: are the people interested in the infrared imagery vlogs? Has your viewership gone up or down since you started this focus on infrared?
    Personally, if I may, I just don't get the infrared focus all the time. Will you keep up this focus on infrared moving forward?

    • @paultaylorphotography9499
      @paultaylorphotography9499  5 месяцев назад +2

      Haha no mate no up tick at all in views to be fair they are always pretty poor not matter what I upload I'd say on the whole film cameras probably do best. I reasoned long long ago that this channel wasn't going anywhere in a hurry so I just shoot what I enjoy if others have a look that's a bonus. I'll be getting back into other cameras soon but for now the IR lark is giving me a buzz. Cheers for the comment mate appreciate it
