Hey Rich! Glad you got one I can't wait to see what you do with this. When I get mine, I can relive my high school days (Go Team!) I had two 10 inch house speakers in the back blasting Doctor Dre 2000!
honeslty this video inspired me to go into a project, I know WPLs require a lot of work but i absolutely love the body and the fact its true 1:10 scale. I got my hands on technical drawings for the real truck and I will see if i can build an exact replica chassis of it. it might be very ambitious but seems like a fun year long project. I feel like its going to be a very fun learning experience machining every individual component including oil dampeners
Worth $80 just for the novelty of it I think. I have already metal axled mine and installed the resV3 board. Not horrible, but in the end it is a WPL. 😁
All my rc's have the cat hair mod too. My Jimney sounds like a couple teens borrowing an old mattress on a squeaky box spring when I drive it. It's kind of hilarious. I'm excited to upgrade the esc, servo, wheels and tires. That might be all I do.
Nice work, cats! And Richard. I think these ultra-scale models are pretty cool, a nice departure from the bigger-is-better mentality. These would be fun to mod, because it'll take actual thought and ingenuity coming up with improvements, since there's no aftermarket for them. Lots of potential. Would I pay $80? Maybe. If so, it'd be for the challenge of improving it. I'd prefer to buy a kit for around $65, though; it's a bummer to know you'll be tossing the electronics.
Thanks for liking the cats. I'm more and more into the smaller trucks for driving here in Smiggin's. Still like the big ones for everywhere else. I should toss the electronics but I likely won't. You're talking to a guy that still has RTR Axial and RC4WD electronics from a decade ago in most of his RCs.
@@turksandjerpsNice scale body but, yeah, the electonics and mechanicals suck. Ultimately, wouldn't buy it at any price, just a toy RC. Appreciate the review though! 👍
@@jerryvolpini7987 I hear you. You'd have more than double your investment into this to make it sort of good but still wouldn't be amazing. Luckily, Smiggin's Folly isn't that tough of a course for it so it shouldn't break.
The fun thing about WPL is fixing all the issues and seeing it be a decent cheap rc 🤷♂️
Yes maybe you’re right

Dang! Sounds like we were in high school around the same time.

That’s awesome, they don’t require a lot of work if you don’t want to do it. They do function out of the box but tinkering is what we do
I love you vids so much. Your voice give me peace of mind. Thanks!!
That’s very nice of you. Thank you
Yay math! I have no idea what you explained, but it sounded legit.
2+2 is 4
I love mine! I can't wait to see what you'll do with that body😍
Hopefully a splash of paint soon

Exactly how I feel about it! I have several wpl and while they're neat at the end of the day they're still wpl 😅
I just want to paint mine before anything. Still waiting for some time to do that and or drive it outdoors
Looks well built !!!! Looks just mine real Sammy lol 😂
Much scale accuracy in the quality
