@@RCplamodel yes, it quickly became my favourite WPL😁. New spots are always welcome, especially when the previous ones are so changed you can't even get there by foot 😂
Wow, what an amazing job….love the color choices you chose too! I’ve been waiting for and wanting this particular version since forever….and it’s also my favorite over the full-top version. Guess I will be selling off a few projects to get this one!
@@Elisplushies360woodierc thank you for watching! Yes, it looks awesome with the top on. It also looks nice without it. It's a difficult decision to choose the final style for it😅
thank you! You can buy the C74 Jimny/Samurai that actually has the chassis with leaf spring suspension if you are looking for the scale accurate version. And if you get this new one too, you can swap the bodies and you'll get the leaf sprung chassis under this soft-top convertible body😁
I think the brown canopy looks better. Nice job on the interior. Will the old Body fit the new chassis? I prefer the look of the hard body one. But don't want to miss out on the upgrades.
@@winteronice yes, they're interchangeable. I plan to do another video with an upgraded chassis on this green body, then switch it with the leaf sprung chassis from the C74
@@richnellalbano4232 thank you. I've primed the seats and door panels at the same time I've done the body, then just painted 2-3 layers of brown. For the silver details I've used a chrome paint sharpie, but with a thicker tip than I would have liked, so the details are not that great...
@@idkuzin hey there! The most important step in painting is preparation. So I have dismantled all the parts and made sure they are clean. Then I've got 2-3 layers of white primer as a base and finished with 4-5 coats of paint. The paint is a can of metallic green bought from a standard local hardware shop, so nothing special. Also, don't forget to let the paint dry properly. I've rushed a bit when initially assembling the car and I've had to repaint the doors in the end. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching! 😊
@@AA-ou4zk hello! It is an accurate 1/10th scale because if you search the wheelbase of the real vehicle and divide it by 10, you get approximately the wheelbase of the model. The confusion seems to spark because the big companies (Axial, Traxxas, Element etc.) marketed their products as 1/10th scale regardless of truck type. Indeed, their platforms have interchangeable parts and all that, but technically none of them is a true 1/10th scale. The Ford Bronco for example is more to the 1/8th scale while a Wrangler is closer to the 1/10th if they have a chassis with the same wheelbase. So going back to your question, the WPL Jimny is indeed a 1/10th scale vehicle but it uses the WPLs 1/16 components as they fit the scale. If you search for a picture of a Jimny near another popular off-road vehicle, you will see how small the Jimny is in real life too. I hope this information is helpful to you! 😊
This was already checked in the previous version. At least WPL knows that 1:10 scale is not 1:12 or 1:8. Dimensions confirmed with the original and match.
@@kasiamusk81 A bit ironic isn't it? WPL's C74 is true 1/10 so is MN82's 1/12 scale yet these higher budget RC brands while offering much better performance still have their scale all over the place.
