Using GPS Coordinates with Google Maps (PC and Mobile Device)

There may be times you want to to share the location of one of your favorite outdoor spots with a friend but there isn't a physical address. Maybe it's a boat launch, or a particular area on a biking trail, or a fishing hole. You can use GPS coordinates to easily share those locations, or get directions from others who share GPS coordinates with you.
In this video we look at how to do that on a PC and also on a mobile device.

How can I generate my own google map with a whole lot of fishing coordinates - that I can save and update over a long period of time?

Nice & Informative....the fully qualified coordinates they use are not the format that you would enter into a Garmin GPS for autos....any idea on how to get that type format ? For instance we geocache and the GPS coordinates for geocaches can be entered directly into the Garmin and it will provide "driving directions" to the cache.

Hello xdiq, I believe there's a space between the 1 and the 5 that shouldn't be there. If that's the case, when I remove the space and put it into g-maps it takes me to Jicarilla Apache Nation Reservation, Jicarilla, NM.

This shows you how to copy and paste but doesn't explain how to enter them manually.

You type them into the search field.
For instance, in this video the coords are: 38.397599, -81.584491
If you type that into the Google Maps search box it will accept that and show you the location on the map.
