Great video. I'm starting as a CAD Technician learning Civil 3D and I've just been playing with points and other contouring type data, and this has been very handy. Thank you
Very well done ,clear concise .Thank you very much.
Very clear and concise. Nicely explained...thanks for the time to make this video

Thanks. That helped me a ton!
Straight to the point!
Thanks it has really helped.
Greeaat work, bro. Lucky I found this vid.
UTM is based on meters so it makes sense to set for meters while using it for land navigation. It makes it easy to know how far to walk.
thank you very help-ful
Thanks Guy, thanks a lot, really!

Great video thanks
Thank You 😁
Very helpful, thanks a lot!
were you able to find tool options on google earth, to change degree minutes and seconds to other options
@@ajaysingh-vi5ni I found options for latitude/longitude, but not for UTM. A real shame because the feature must have been removed recently, or the recent version of Google Earth doesn't have that feature anymore.
Informative!!!!
very helpful
thanks alot
Thank you
Hello from Murray!
That's a great video, but next time don't get stoned...lol. Thanks again
Thanks..

I can't seem to find help for this problem anywhere on the internet.

s there different zones for different countries? Handy Information by the way
Quick Tip!
Please go to the city by searching on Google Earth before entering the credentials.
thanks
Always off 50 to 150 meters from Maine USGS maps.
That sounds like a datum setting, 27, 83 or 84. You don't just choose UTM. It's confusing. Match the map.
Excellent. Good work (somebody actually knows to use a microphone and keep out the background noise).
Not what I was hoping this video was. You already knew the coords of that parking lot. But what if you didn't know the location until you zoomed into the parking lot and noted the coords. Is there a way to mark this area with the coords exactly where you have the cursor??
+jake bob Yes. Look for the yellow thumbtack in the toolbar just above the map. When you hover over the thumbtack it will say “Add Placemark”. When you click on this button it will put a thumbtack on the map. You can then move that placemark wherever you like on the map just by clicking and dragging the thumbtack.
I have multitude of points around 300.. Any other method of plotting in a single go or only this way of plotting manually?
I’m sorry. I do not know how to enter multiple grid coordinates at once.
@@evilgeo792 No issues thank you
I don't have an 'options' menu in the 'tools' menu? It's just not there.
+McCade Bell What device are you using? I know that mobile versions of Google Earth (for Android and iOS) have limited tools available.
Go to the Google Earth Pro menu and hit "preferences" on a mac
DA MAN! You just saved me a ton of work thanks
What elevations datum does google earth use when it’s displayed (elevation at the bottom), please help.
Can you explain it slower than that! :p
UTM means...?
Universal Transverse Mercator
well if you are trying to find an accurate location, then don't worry it will not work, an ip adress is not accurate cuz it sees the location in about 48,2kilometers (30miles). Try something, anything else, cuz trying to find an exact location with an IP adress just won't work
Old damn video. Outdated.
