I’m beginner and I was always wondering how people can start moving before the opponent hit the ball like 2:21, is prediction required in order to play it smoothly?
It's a bit of an educated guess, you want to split-step (those little shuffles that pros do before they make a move) so that you can react as the ball is in the air, and then when you've played enough tennis you know what shots the opponent has in that position. For that play in particular, RBA hit a deep and heavy ball to Alcaraz's backhand, giving Alcaraz two options, to go cross court or line with his backhand - since he's under pressure it would be hard for him to hit a clean shot down the line, so the much more likely play was for him to hit cross court, and RBA anticipates this so he sets himself up for another forehand. Btw none of this would likely be running through RBA's mind during the rally as it would be subconsciously drilled from the amount of experience they have playing the game!
Carlos is so insanely good. Hard to comprehend at times how he does it so easily.
This angle is amazing. Thank you.
that FH is soooo heavy
Carlos lining up one by one... 😉
Alcaraz hamstrings are insane
My goodness. That was insane.

It’s anticipation based off how the opponent prepares for the ball. Like how much they open up their body or where the racquet is facing
@@vibezone2345 I see 😲 thanks for the info!
anticipation is part of it, but nonetheless moving toward the net is very dangerous unless you got full control of the momentum
very frustrating practice for Agut ;)
Terrible parking.
Who was the guy Alcaraz was playing at the end of the vid? Def not RBA.
Carreno Busta

A lot of Federer in him
Good player nowdays. But nobody can come close to master Federer! Alcaraz is rely to much on physics!
@@aca8638Fed himself would say effortlessness is a myth.
@@monkeonthee Let's see what can Alcaraz do after 10 pro seasons. Fed for example in 2009 played all 4 slams finals!
@@aca8638 Federer didn't even win his first Grand Slam yet at Alcaraz age (Wimbledon 2003), while Alcaraz already won 4 Grand Slams.
Haha- Batista just got the s*** kicked out of him, Alcaraz crushed him, literally.
Not literally. Learn English. Literally.
@@kingtrawal He lost badly.
