  • The 1911 has a cult following. Few people are as zealous about their gun choice as a 1911 fanatic. Well, I have a 1911, and I encountered a gun that I think might be even better.
The Sig Sauer P220 is a fantastic gun. I give a complete review, along with what I like about it, some things I disliked about it, and how it stacks up to the 110+ year old design of the 1911. Hold on to your butts... 1911 fans are going to be mad.

2024, I just ordered a P220 Legion 10mm SAO, Steel slide & frame, optic ready. I carry a Beretta 92x RDO Compact & Sig P938 Legion, for home defense a Sig P320 X-Ten . Imho, the Glock isn't even "in the game", the only thing that beats a all metal hammer fired gun is another all metal hammer fired gun, polymer can't compete. Interesting video though. 👍👍.

If your not really into guns and a gun guy who likes to fiddle with firearms the p220 is much better. However with the 1911 you can personalize and customize everything about your 1911 to how you want it. Every American should own a 1911 just for the history, but the p220 is a much simpler gun to run with.

P220 less recoil, more simple 👌🏻 i prefer the old stamped models, they are slim.

1911 (with G10 grips) definitely has more felt recoil than my p220 carry and Glock 21sf/30 (including 10mm stuff I shot with conversion barrel).
It was actually painful to shoot 1911 after a mag; and I've never experienced that with all the pistols I own and shot!
I had to put Hogue rubber grip on my 1911, and it was never as accurate as afore mentioned pistols! My 1911 trigger, looks, history, etc...is a must have however

Great video but Sig supremacy is definitely real especially with the classic P series pistols, IMO the Sig 220 blows the glock 21 away in quality

Well done review. Ditto on the 1911 manual and grip safety that never made sense to me on a handgun.
I bought a new Sig-220 in 1995 for $575 and it has been a jewel with both factory and reloads among various bullets.
Having the Glock-21 to show as a comparison would have been useful.

      Thank you! I don't have a Glock 21. Used to have a G20, but I'm not that big of a 45 guy.

@@steelbearacademy8855 Only made the reference to the G-21 when you were making a side-by-side comparison with the other Glock, because the G-21 is similar to caliber and size of the P-220. Cheers.

How do you get rid of the creep after installing of srt?
my 220 had some creep before srt, and the same creep was still there after srt install.

I heard the 220 is unique to the 226's srt. and in my 226 with an srt, the trigger still has creep when you pull the trigger. Maybe 1 little creep, then it breaks. Not sure if the 220 would be the same. you might be able to remove the creep with springs and different components, but I doubt that would be possible using the factory trigger parts.
