Very good video, some useful ideas here. I used a slightly modified version of your process with excellent results. I marked the cut in pencil, etched the lines with a dremel and diamond wheel, then used my wet saw to finish. THANKS!

Great Video. What tool would you suggest to cut tiles around existing valves. Who ever installed it only left enough room for the stem

@@67Details other than removing the whole tile , your cheapest option is called a diamond cone chanfer and attach to a grinder, you can use to widen the hole for the valves. Thank me later ;)

Just use a diamond hole saw save yourself a ton of trouble

£150 for a 110mm diamond hole saw for one hole isn't really viable.

Hi, I have been living in an older apartment building for over 10 years. My unit has 6" shower arm with 1/2" connection with IPS thread and shower head with 1/2" connection with IPS connection. All new shower arm and heads I found has NPT connections. IPS connection and NPT connection do not match. But can I take out my current IPS connection shower arm and install NPT connection shower arm? Like getting rid of both the old 1/2" IPS thread shower arm and shower head first. And then install a new 1/2" NPT threading shower arm with teflon tape to prevent water leaks and NPT shower head. Is is possible? Is it even recommended to replace IPS shower arm with NPT connection in an older apartment unit? Can you or anyone please help with answers? Thank you
