Absolutely best and most informative video on Duramax engines I have ever watched. Thank you!! As for ideas; 1) Known issues for the L5P and LML and how to overcome them would be great. 2) Also, an overview on my the Denso HP4 fuel system is better as a second idea over the CP4 would be amazing! I am in the market for a few year old one and I'm sure many are looking for this information. Thanks Dustin!!
This channel is GOLD. Your knowledge is immense and the way you breakdown and explain this stuff is so easy to follow and understand. The Cardone video brought me here, and that one on the EcoBoost was even better! Keep it up Dustin!
I agree with previous posts a video on how to Bulletproof an LML, would be the money. Otherwise, this is one of the most informative videos I've ever watched for my truck
Great stuff glad I found your channel.. I have a 2018 Duramax that’s had its third Particulate Matter Sensor put in and dealer can’t tell me why it’s happening. Any idea… I don’t let It idle long but am guilty of short trips.. is that what’s causing it?
Just got lml 2016 back from Dealership. Reductant heater code. 34,000 miles highway, low hours. Use only "top tier" diesel and always keep tank at least 1/2 full. Maintanance kept on top of. 21.5 mpg highway average. Extended warranty worth the money. Dealership offered me $45,000. Said no because there is nothing on lot to trade in on. Generally, I trade them in on new one every 4 to 5 years depending on warranty period. Burnt chip factory in China blew that tradition out of play this year. Lost tract of all the duramax I've owned. Keep them stock and clean. Pulls boat great! 5.3 and 5.7 L Chevy truck struggled up steep hills. Love the quiet engine.
Awsome Video buddy a lot of great info and detail. I do have a great question I have 13 Duramax 3500hd we have checked the nationwide for an engine we have a 08 Duramax engine that the customer got on good deal on-off a van. Is this a swap that can be done any details that I should be looking for like trigger wheel and common rail system and anything bolt-on? Any help would be great. looking forward to hearing from someone of this caliber. Thank steve

Awesome video. I just bought lmm. Guy said the egr is disabled and a blocker. Should I delete whole thing or leave it. I'm getting really bad fuel mileage. Lol. Maybe cause I was used to my old 7.3. Reason for the lmm. To tow my big camper which it does amazing.
Putting a LB7 into my 13 Silverado ( because I have one and need an engine in the 13 . Will it bolt in or do I have to move the mounts . Do I have to change the Transmission as well or will it bolt on
@DG'w Pro Tech , have a LBZ over here in Alta. Just dropped the trans pan in the Alli, and changed out the PSI Manifold Switch and the internal filter, and external, have 10 quarts back into her, did the cold check to get going, and added to the 10 quart mark, can only get 150 degrees ferenheit for the hot check, in park at this temp, the level is just at the bottom of the hot has marks, thoughts?
Do you have any videos or suggestions for finding all grounds related to reinstalling an LmL im currently in the middle of putting my 2016 Denali Dually back together and putting grounds in the correct locations has me on edge lol
I'm looking at a 2001 Duramax and I keep reading that there was no 235hp lb7....That they all were 300hp and they have a sticker saying 300hp on the valve cover? Is this true or not?!?
can you help? I bought a Duramax engine, had it shipped. How can I find out witch engine I bought? before I install it. I have a 2008 Silverado so LMM engine, guy says it came out of a bus and its LMM I'm trying to verify it though with out a vin number. any help
Such a complex motor design dodge is way more basic and a more inline set up for way more air flow and power. Also much easier to work on complete any job with the motor i pretty much. Tranys are good if you stick with the 2007.5-2010

Great video good tech.....But I want to know what s the real difference between LMM Duramax Truck and van engine?
plumbing and tuning
Late LBZ had 360hp and 605tq
650* Love mine
Lucky me my LB7 has a EGR!
Thank you California
Great info!!

I’ve heard of a few people having problems with their Cummins engine
Bahahahaha thank you for the update DG funny accent feller,
We are proud to be Canadian :D
Must do mods for an 01-02 LB7 I’m really contemplating buying one I’ve liked the looks of that generation.
Depends on your goals with it. Use quality fuel and filters and an LB7 will last a long time
Isaac record thank you!
Hi, my 2006 lbz bought in ca. was/ is 360/650.....
Do you have any videos or suggestions for finding all grounds related to reinstalling an LmL im currently in the middle of putting my 2016 Denali Dually back together and putting grounds in the correct locations has me on edge lol
Very good video, diesel's used to be a good option for a reliable fuel efficient
and powerful truck but that day is done, I'll stick with gas engines.
Will a lbz short block work in a lb7 with all lb7 accessories ??
Yes
Ya this dude knows what he’s talking about.
that's was 20 years of experience brings you!
I'm looking at a 2001 Duramax and I keep reading that there was no 235hp lb7....That they all were 300hp and they have a sticker saying 300hp on the valve cover? Is this true or not?!?
How hard is it to swap out an LML to a L5P?
I have a L5P with a117,000 miles and 4 lifters failed, why?
whats the maintenance like ?

Hey man! if you still need help give us a call at 519-418-2886 or shoot me a message on facebook.
The bosh cp4s are junk cummins went back to the cp3 in 2021 witch is a good selling point for cummins and for Dodge as well I love the cummins motor
Lly coming back
I don’t understand why GM would switch an engine after like 1.5 or 2 years. That’s crazy.
Qué es una more information for that two thousand seven buddy's or what is the beautiful that two thousand and seven for the two thousand duramax
So get a 2004 put an LBZ with egr delete, 6 Allison, a 2006 front end & call it a day
Or... buy a 2006 and delete it
You know your shit my man to bad your not closer
Thanks for the comment Steven!
When the cp3 grenades and you have a $10000 repair to stomach
You mean cp4?
@@StarHunter28 yes the cp4 idk why I put cp3
My lmm doesn't have that bs
