I was always gonna upload today. John Cena's reign on paper didn't seem like a big deal, but as a wrestler overall, he really came into his own in 2013. What did you think of John Cena's title reign?
We need John cena to be the 17 time champion and the Ic champion before its all said and done.
My favorite John Cena world title reign is his 1st, 3rd, & 11th
Brock didn’t kill super cena at all wrestling premiere you are crazy John cena beat Brock the following year when he had a rematch in 2014
Okay I think
John Cena's 2013 WWE title reign was very memorable because of the rise of Daniel Bryan and Authority while Mark Henry pulled off an memorable scheme to suckered Cena into an match with him at MITB. Cena vs Bryan at Summerslam was an masterpiece that saw Bryan as WWE champ and an certified main eventer while setting up his iconic journey to WM 30.
Let’s not forget his iconic heel turn as champ
John cena should have beaten Bryan in summerslam 2013 if he didn’t get injured
@@LYE333thank god you don’t book wwe because that would have been horrible
@@dxov1597 dude your crazy no it wouldn’t Cena was going to win anyways if he didn’t get injured. Your obviously just a hater that doesn’t understand the point of what John Cena really was as the guy the face of wwe.
@@LYE333 I literally like John cena but it would’ve ruined Bryan’s rise which was booked perfectly at first. But thanks for being a jaçkáśs and making assumptions about me you díčkhead
I'll always say, this Title reign in 2013, was truly the last period of Cena being the Top guy in the business, since litterally it was his last actual full on wod Title run, WM 29 being the last WM he main Evented over Decade ago whuch is truly crazy to me how it's been that long yet we can remember him constantly being involved in the top matches for Years at WM.
His run as the top guy personally for me went from 2005-2013 where he was the "Super Cena" top guy and face. At Summerslam 2013, it ended when he basically lost clean to Daniel Bryan a guy many wouldnt except to be able to do that. By that point, since 2005 really, Cena really only lost to a very select handful of guys clean. Shawn Michaels, HHH, Batista, The Rock, guys who are top tier guys and very far and in between. Bryan beating him basically was the direction Cena would of gone the rest of his career really.
Even at WM 30, he lost to Randy Orton at TLC 2013, and Batista was meant to challenge Randy with Cena having no involvement in the World Title at WM that Year and was basically in a Mid Card grudge Match, something he hasn't been in for litterally a Decade at that point at WM 20 against the Big Show.
Byran getting injured making Cena win back the titles was also unplanned since Byran was meant to face Lesnar at Summerslam not Cena so even by that point, they were already trying to ease him down, and you could see the were putting a lot of focus on Reigns during that time.
By Hell in the Cell 2015, I personally view that as the end of Cena's full time career. Lost clean to Alberto, was gone for the rest of the Year, made a guest appearance at WM 32, was already entering Hollywood, sure he had feuds with Styles and Ambrose and was around but it didnt feel the same as before since he wven admitted at the end of the Year that people are claiming he's washed up and a Part Timer, and by 2017 was more evident and 2018, he was simply just gone all together especially into 2019 where he was consider a Guest appearing Legend.
This Title Reign was truly the final "hurray" of Cena as the top Face. So many were tired of it, crwzy how so many would truly desire to have a star with that type of presence in any Wrestling company currently now.
He didn’t become super cena until 2008
@@pleaseshutup7053 Trust me I know, I meant him as being the top guy in the main event who barely ever lost. Super Cena basically Coaligning with the PG Era from Late 2008-Mid 2013.
John Cena from 2013-2014, while not the best time ever, it truly was fun with all the matches he’s had with the likes of Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and many other up and coming talents. Truly shows how versatile Cena was with working with others, right next to his US Championship run. Great video, bro.
I say John cena is the greatest fighting champion in wwe history
@@JaquanWilliams-lf8dewhat does this even mean
@@pleaseshutup7053he defended against any challenger any place anytime consistently without making excuses thats a fighting champion
I just want John cena as the 17 time champion and let him have a run in the main event on top he deserves it more then anyone.
Me too I really want Cena to become a 17 time world champion before he officially retires.
@@wrestlingfigs24 I hope he never retires
I'm not even a big Cena guy, but I agree. If anyone deserves to break Flair's record, on a pure business standpoint, it's John Cena. Man deserves it for carrying the company through the dark ages that was most of the latter half of the Vince era
I have a soft spot for this title run that Cena had in 2013. His appearance on the post-WrestleMania Raw, his feuds with Ryback, Mark Henry (that faked retirement angle was pretty good), and his feud with Daniel Bryan was interesting, and proved to be the catalyst for the rise of the Yes Movement, culminating in Bryan's eventual title win at WrestleMania 30.
John cena’s 2013 title reign was amazing but his title reign back in 2007 was just different
Cena was a fighting champion Roman isn’t even close cena literally defended the titles on raw and then he was wrestling every freaking night Roman isn’t close to as legendary as John cena is
@@LYE333 fr
That reign was so special idk why, I felt like he made that spinner look so cool at that time
his 2006-2007 title reign is my favorite reign of all time. his matches always had people talking. goat.
Mark Henry's performance in his retirement segment was the best I've ever seen in a promo. I was genuinely fooled.
They sold it before raw Henry retirement rumors which made it greag
It was great
His 4th best title run. His first 3 being his Top 3 title runs, basically his 2005-2007 run before he got injured.
My first wrestling experience was John Cena’s match at Wrestlemania 20. But I really became a fan after watching 29. This run was my first taste of the WWE main event. I look back at this run with nostalgia. Loved the trip down memory lane. Thank you.
I’m glad someone finally made a video on Cena’s 11th wwe title reign. It really was his last best run with the title.
I consider 2014 as his last best run but 2015 was John cena last great run as champion.
That matk Henry swerve is one of my most favorite wwe Moments ever, i cant believe they didnt. Give him a short run with the belt.
John Cena's 2013 was his redemption year from 2012
Redemption? He beat Brock lesnar in 2012 lok
@@pleaseshutup7053that was the only good match that year the rest was crap cena had a horrible 2012
You know I actually prefer John Cena's midcard run as do United States open fight Night champion in 2015 but I was actually under the impression that the last run John Cena had with the top prize was the Hell In A Cell to TLC 2013 run with the World heavyweight championship that ended can a blow-off match that put both belts on a single wrestler and while the build-up had fans vote that post titles together would be known as the undisputed World championship they just kept referring to it's colder as the WWE World heavyweight champion and the last time we saw the World heavyweight championship was ironically enough around the waist of Brock Lesnar the very man whose decision to work one brand a week is what caused the World heavyweight championship to be brought into the WWE in the first place
I don’t consider this his last great title reign at all I say 2015 was his last great run as champion but as wwe champion I saw it was 2017 or 2014 when he won at money in the bank.
John Cena's last WWE Championship title reign in 2017. I like to see that
Facts I don’t consider 2013 as cena last great run I say it was 2015 with the US title or 2014 when he won it at money in the Bank
14 and 17 were like 6 weeks total.
This is the run that made me appreciate John Cena. I was never a fan, but this run made me go "Yeah... He's that guy". Best era of him aside from the US Open Challenge.
His last best run
US Title?
I guess he means his last best run as to he wont be a champ again!
@@dipeshrai3449 but he did become champ again after this. A few more times.
Thank you
@@syxodude91but they weren’t great and they were pretty short
It sounds like you said MITB was in September it was July actually lol Great video as usual though, keep up the great work!!
We all know John cena should have won summerslam 2013 if he had never gotten hurt he was supposed to win until injury. Bryan is lucky cause cena had a torn triceps.
2012-2013 raw was entertaining because of the new raising stars and John Cena giving Bryan as chance for a push
The only reason Bryan got over was because of john cena was injured smh if cena never got injured he would have won
Lmao what you talking about rising stars like who? They held down ziggler Cesaro sandow cena and orton were champ but the end of 2013
Crazy how cena’s last wm main event was 10 years ago
Now he was the opening match this year smh

@@pleaseshutup7053 Well it's never too late in wrestling. He could do like The Rock Hollywood run, mostly does a segment and wrestle rarely since he said his body can't do it anymore
Always love ur work can u post more ❤ perhaps doing reviews for both raw smackdown and nxt and doing more stuff about the woman
Somewhere in a alternate universe we saw CM Punk vs Rock vs Cena at Wrestlemania 29
I'll say Cena's last great world title run was his 3rd when he beat Edge in a TLC match at Unforgiven 06 then he held it for a year straight. All the rest all run together where he flip flopped it with Randy Orton & Batista.
John Cena as WWE champion in 2013 was good
John cena was champion in 2014 and 2015 to me his last great run as champion was 2015
This channel is perfect example of this is what I wanna do and I’m gonna do it and I’m gonna make it successful… and it’s great , one of my top wrestling channels 👍, i really wish I could do this
The Daniel Bryan match at summerslam was cracked up that match alone tripled my respect for Cena
Cena had a torn triceps in the match and he put Danial Bryan over Bryan had no chance if cena was fully healthy
Suffering more injuries than Paul George 😂😂😂
I still stand by this, the main event of Mania 29 shouda been Cena vs CM Punk
That mark henry angle was pure gold
Damn late night
Everyone really wanted a Brutus clay, John cena, 3MB, and fandango elimination chamber where the real best 3MB alum finally goes over… HEATH SLATER
We need a Curtis Axel videooo fr
I would say that was he last best run as the world champion 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah I agree this was his last best run as a world champion for sure 🔥
From WrestleMania 29 to SummerSlam 2013
If I remember correctly had rock had not gotten injured the plan was to start the seeds to rock vs brock at wm 30
Yeah Rock confirmed it on Twitter
My favorite rivalry of this title reign goes to John Cena vs Mark Henry.
That fake retirement in the salmon suit
Followed by that epic mitb 2013 clash.
I really thought based on the cheers Henry was getting, he'll end up dethroning Cena. Good times❤
This title reign was his second best imo
First will always be 2006-07 one
The mark Henry feud should've gone longer especially since it was drawing unlike the Daniel Bryan one
Mark henry should have won

I remember watching this title run for the first time on wwe on demand lmao
I admit John Cena eleven wwe title reign was his last great title reign and I bet if he didn't get injured before summerslam 2013 he probably would've held it a little longer.
No not probably he definitely would have he had a torn triceps in the match and fans mock and make fun of cena for losing even though John cena was injured it’s messed up Danial Bryan wasn’t going to go over if cena never got hurt
I don’t consider this his last great title reign at all I say 2015 was his last great run as champion but as wwe champion I saw it was 2017 or 2014 when he won at money in the bank.
I say cena should have beaten the rock at wrestemania 28 and then in 2013 cena should have won at summerslam but he got injured and needed surgery.
2014 was when I started watching wrestling and ofc John Cena was my fav, his rivalry with the authority and then his US title looked great to me at that time. I wish I could watch his last "great" title reign per say but I still loved what I saw. They really did him dirty with that summer slam match with brock tho
Damn that AI enhanced thumbnail makes Cena look like a real superhero
I would love it if you talked about Brian Danielson in wwe run and then follow it with his AEW run
I will never forgive wwe for not pushing the punk vs cena rivalry after wrestlemania
Punk took a break and returned as a face why would he face cm punk
@@pleaseshutup7053 they should've returned him as a heel and then have him face cena.
Of all his reigns, the 2013 - 2014 Reigns were special.
John Cena 💞
I love John cena ♥❤♥❤ ♥ ❤
This world championship reign went crazy, fr. 🔥🔥🔥
It did 🔥
you should do the whole of the cena vs Orton rivalry, modern rock vs Austin, nothin feels the same besides cena vs edge but Steve had a good rivalry w triple H & rock had 1 w triple H too
Triple H might be the goat villain in WWE
Man it's hard to imagine his last run as champ was during 2013 😂
I don’t consider this his last great title reign at all I say 2015 was his last great run as champion but as wwe champion I saw it was 2017 or 2014 when he won at money in the bank.
2013 Is really the last year of the old guard. 2014 and on felt majorly different, people started taking the women more seriously, NXT started to fire up, guys who spoke up started to quiet down, many we thought would succeed either didn't or succeded very differently, Part timers we're finally being hated, and Cena... Cena was destroyed by Lesnar.
2013 to me is the end of the PG/universe era before we enter the Reality/work horse era from 2014-2020
(I say work horse era because the wrestling got ridiculously good and interesting from there on out)
LETS GOOO
Sucks that Ryback out of everybody, was Cena’s last main event rival while holding the belt.
Why does everyone forget Cena beating AJ Styles at Royal Rumble 2017 to become 16 time world champion???
It’s because the reign wasn’t that long it was a short one 😂 we talking bout title reigns not how many times he won it
The title reign was 14 days and he lost it at the chamber the one in 2014 was transitional as well about 2 months before the squash reestablishing the dominate Brock
It dont feel that long ago
I feel like cena should have turned heel at mania 28 or mania 29 some heel turn would have been fire
At 30 he should have cheated to end the streak in a desperate attempt to stay on top.
1:51 Ah shit, here we go again
The fact he wasn’t champion all through 2012 is crazy lol
Hell he wasn't even IC/US champ
@@justinterry7853 John cena beat Brock in 2012

Now you have to make the authority Randy orton run video
John Cena is my favorite wrestler
I've been watching WWE since 9 years but just realized that Mark Henry doesn't have eye brows
I wanted Ryback as champ even if it was transitional,
So glad they didn’t do Braun Strowman that way, even tho Braun is much better in the ring

@pleaseshutup7053 because he was lossin couple of matches since the rock beat but in 2013 he got redemption
My question is, how the hell was Mania 29 so profitable when the match card was garbage? You literally had Del Rio defending the World Heavyweight Title against JACK SWAGGER at WRESTLE-FREAKING-MANIA!! The only good match on the entire show was CM Punk vs The Undertaker. I guess the tag title match was fine, that actually felt like a Mania worthy match, mostly cause Big E was still new to the main roster at the time and it was awesome that he got a title match at WrestleMania in his first Mania match, especially looking back now, the talent involved in that match was awesome, all of them either already in the hall of fame in the case or Kane or future hall of famers in Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and Big E (Langston)’s cases.
The authority was literally the corporation all over again
The authority wishes they were the cooperation
@@pleaseshutup7053 let me guess you were born in 1978
John cena is the goat ❤❤❤🐐.
i think he needs one more run break that flair tie since wwe wants to update the record books lately with roman and gunther as examples bring cena back give him one more title run elevate some guys hell copy a page from the flair retirement tour which was really good put super cena all the way make it to his next loss he retires and have him run gauntlet after gauntlet any body would want to be the guy that retires the face of the wwe and cena could use that as leverage to get a shot at a world title and go out a fighting champion have him elevate similar to his us open challenge my vote make it the wwe title as that really cena's main championship that'd involve taking it off roman to get it to cena
That’s a made up record flair has said he has way more than 16x
its the wwe acknowledged record and as their the wrestling company still around to have it their the final say same as they wouldn't count any of the tna or aew world titles from any the other wrestlers duh@@pleaseshutup7053
Stone Cold Steve Austin versus Kurt Angle 2001
Once again this would've been a time to turn Cena heel against Daniel Bryan but no we got to have kids love Cena.
I mean why turn him heel when he didn't need to?
It can't be his last one
As much as I hate saying this I think it is cause Cena himself said he loves WWE but he just can't anymore his body won't let him anymore plus the way I've been seeing his matches lately Cena really slowed himself down and that ain't the Cena I knew he has a little bit of ring rust.
Punk vs Cena should have happened at WrestleMania 29
WWE threw their match on an episode of RAW, which was better than their 2012 encounter, imo, before Fastlane (?) 2013, thus closing their feud completely...🤬.

Stole everything from CM Punk
Choosing bryan was probably the dumbest choice ever as Bryan never earned champ status. Bryan was a horible face but a great heel and they rarely let him run the Heel role. Bryan would go on to ruin wrestlemania with the worst mania Ever when he face triple h and Batista. Bryan was always a B+ wrestler and should have stayed that way. When he finally went Heel with the Vegan title i twas his best performance ever.
You don't know wrestling
