so long story short, I got bored the other day to the point where I felt so ambitious to release this on time. that was impossible but atleast it's here. WWE 2003 was a transitional year, alot of the things that were bad came down to strange booking decisions, just some slight changes would've made the year even better. What did you think of WWE in 2003?

The Rock 2003 with the vest and leather pants with that entrance was awesome especially in smackdown here comes the pain the rock as a heel in 2003 was awesome especially when he made fun of Goldberg too bad the match sucks but in my opinion WWE in 2003 was good it was better than 2002 with the nWO failing and stone cold leaving and waaaaaay better than 2004 which was boring with HHH and evolution dominating raw and JBL dominating smackdown 2003 had Goldberg and Brock Lesnar best wwe years and stone cold vs the Rock for the last time I still think WWE 2000 will always be electrifiying and the best year for WWE!

Had the Vengeance crowd not been pro Orton, he probably would've stayed face in 2004. Evolution probably stays in tact the rest of the year, and maybe he is the one beating Benoit at Summerslam for the WHC.

When I was a kid I had all of wwe PPVS from 2003 on dvd except 3. No mercy, survivor series and Armageddon. And what I didn’t have in dvd I had pictures of in magazines. So I rewatched a lot of 2003 growing up. So in my head 2003 was alot better than it actually was. A lot of it was nostalgia but it was still good for me. Good matches some good stories. But very transitional as far as raw and smackdown finding their footing more so in 2004 and 2005

WWE in 2003 was in a transition phase. Nevertheless, the talent roster was stacked. There were some excellent feuds like Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle, on the other hand having some crazy feuds like Shane McMahon and Kane, and Vince and Steph. Overall, I think SmackDown was the better show, as there was a lot more consistency on the show, aided by the rise of talents like John Cena, Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero.

Kane should've been champ in 98.
Kane/Undertaker was the strongest long term storyline coming out of WM14.
The Austin/Foley feud was lackluster. Though Kane lost to Taker at WM, he still had a mythological feared aura about him to dethrone Austin and go on a run following KOTR 98. Austin taking it back killed his momentum. And they spent the next year humanizing him. Chyna becomes motherly to him. Xpac gets him to talk. Tori is his girlfriend. Undertaker belittles him. It wasn't the same...
Kane getting the title in 2003 when he's been working for 3 months a non wrestler (Shane) made no sense to me.

Austin saying HHH "constantly" mentioning him with the ball line is an inaccurate exaggeration. HHH namedropped IN KAYFABE to KAYFABE GM Bischoff, "I will pull an Austin and walk out" as a threat to EB when he had a scheduling conflict between his appreciation ceremony and Steiner's contract signing overlapping in the main event time slot on the 12.16.02 Raw.
On the Raw after Vengeance 02, when HBK seemed disappointed in managing him and left, HHH pulls him in the hallway and says, "You're just gonna leave? You're gonna take your ball and go home?"
This leads to him convincing Shawn to stay, teasing a DX reunion that doesn't happen. Because it's a setup for his heel turn.
That's it. Austin getting so riled up on insecurities instead of being a professional and doing his job whether he liked creative or not (like HHH, Jericho, and many others had) is ironic given how much other talent was so giving to him.

The next week on Raw, it was discussed and HHH continued making appearances. But was held off matches for several weeks until Summerslam itself. Goldberg is the reason why their one on one match at Summerslam got switched to an Elimination Chamber. So they could protect HHH and still have a decent main event.
