I always struggled with Airchairs too, but I feel like I started improving it when I focused more on my shoulder flexibility with Halo Freezes, Inverts and a little bit of Hollowbacks and also focusing more on basic tricks like side freeze to handstand helped me with my strenght.. my airchair is not as good as Lego Sam airchair of course, but I hope this can help you :)
People should focus a lot on the sidechair before doing airchair, because of the shoulder flexibility
