MecLab Simulation in Mechatronics Concept Designer

- This movie shows how to create a simulation in MCD, using a UG-NX model of Festo MecLab's gripper hardware.
Commands used respectively in this video:
1) Rigid Body - Assigns weight and material to selected parts. You can assign a single rigid body for parts, which do not move relative to each other. (i.e. Rigid body "Connectors")
2) Fixed Joint - Fixes the part.
3) Sliding Joint - Creates a sliding joint between base and attachment parts, in the assigned direction.
4) Position Control - Specifies the initial positions of joints, and keeps the positions until an operation.
5) Collision Body - Creates the necessary physics for assigned surfaces to recognise each other. In other words, assigned surfaces no longer pass through each other. Convex type divides the surface into smaller meshes.
6) Sequence Editor - Lets you assign simulations to your assembly, by using Add Operation command. You can add movement to your joints, by specifying position and time. If you want the operations to happen one after another, after you are done with adding operations, you need to connect the consecutive sequences on the gantt chart by drag-and-drop as shown in the video. Otherwise, you can just drag and drop the operations on the gantt chart to desired times.
PS:
- You must follow all the steps one by one to get your simulation work correctly.
- At the end of the steps, successful grabbing of the cylinder highly depends on the present mood of MCD. (Not kidding)

Hello Yigit!!! Nice work, please keep doing it, hello from turkey!!!
CAN I HAVE THIS FILE PLEASE ? YOU'VE DONE A FANTASTIC JOB
muchas gracias por este vídeo, aunque creo que no sepas español.
Un saludo
PD: Por favor sube mas videos de este tipo que serán bien venidos
Super nice work
hello Bro... actually I m a plastic mould designer.. and I jst wanted to understand the concept of mechatronics in NX..will u plz give me a brief summary.
Nice Job. Where did you get the Festo MecLab 3D-modell from?
Thank you. I modeled it. We had the setup in the university, so took some measurements. Not the most precise model, but it was enough for the simulation.
How do I create a Loop of this sequence? For example I want to replay this whole sequence over and over without copying the elements itself. I only want to use NX, I dont want to use SIMIT or other programs. Is it even possible? Thanks for the Video and your help!
Hello Liliza,
I really have no idea how to do that. I'm afraid, you'll have to figure it out by yourself. I learned and used the software for my bachelor thesis, and this video is actually all my experience and capabilities in this software. I could try and help out if I had the software, but I don't have it anymore. But I trust you ;)
Yigit.
Merhaba,
good Job. where can i download the software? thanks
Hey Manolo, I have no idea :D I had it in the university but I don't have it anymore.
Hello Yigit.
Can you share the wonderful data with me?
is there any chance you could pass me this file please
+worldcup20ten yes of course, here you go. we.tl/O9BlkC7GlP
Thank you very much Sir
You could pass me this file please. :D
