In this tutorial we will utilize Mechatronics Concept Designer, a physics based application witin NX, to simulate a roller chain mechanism.

This does not work. Cannot make rigid bodies. NX returns error when selecting with:
"Rigid Body: An operation was attempted on an invalid or unsuitable OM object in NX"
It is a single cone primitive, with fixed constraint.
As far as I am concerned this just doesn't work and is a marketing video.
Sorry to hear that. I'm not sure this has any practical value either tbh, as it was just something fun I wanted to do 8 years ago.

Hello, I am having the problem, that my the bushes are penetrating my sprockets after standing on each other for a few seconds. They are both set collision bodies. I playing around with weight, collision material settings, but to no success.Do you have any ideas?Thank you!

Hello, Is there also a possibility to get the force between the chain and the tooths, in every contakt?
Hi Anton, although I'm not completely certain, I think that you'd have to mesh and simulate this using advanced simulation, now within the simcenter part of NX. Mechatronics Concept Designer is more about the total picture, analyzing the overall concept, not to gain detailed FEA results.
