love your reviews! Just ordered the scarlett 2i2 4th after watching so many reviews on yt... but your video made me buy this audio interface, i will also use it with the rode podmic. Best wishes from Germany ✌
Hey! Great video. I have a question, though. I’m recording a podcast with two microphones, and I'm not sure what would be better - setting the dB level to auto or manual. What would you recommend?
Do you have a video on the Scarlett 2i2 gen4 with Rode Podcast Mic and proper setup for audio recording in Abelton Lite 12? I really need to get a good idea on all the necessary setup settings in Abelton 12 lite.
Hello! Thank you for the video. I have bought the mic and an XLR-USB cable. My computer didn’t receive the proper sound, it was very loud. I wonder if I should buy Scarlett so everything will work… was upset the mic was defective but hopefully it’s fine if I try to implement what you’ve said in the video
What kind of sound card is recommended for this and do you need one at all? And can you also connect a headset (without microphone) to the Scarlett? For example a dt770 (250Ω) or a dt with 600 Ω? Or would you only need a sound card for this?
Scarlett Solo - If you want an all around great interface Vocaster One - If you want good voice presets, remote callers, and optimization for streaming/podcasting Elgato Wave XLR - If you're in the Elgato world and just want to be brand loyal.
I have the same combo setup. I’m getting a lot of white noise on my gen 4 when connected to the PC. Is that something that can be managed with an in-line filter? Could you recommend a better connection accessories to reduce noise?
Love the video hey what is the difference between gain in my revelator io24 and the db on the side in interface can you make video io24 and re20 plasee?
Love your no-nonsense videos. I have a Rode PodMic and am considering the 4th gen solo. You mentioned the gain bump that the 2i2 received, but it looks like the Solo 4th gen is still around 57db. Would you recommend a microphone preamp with that? Thanks!
Depending on your experience level, mic positioning, and how loud you speak... It's really close. At this point, I don't recommend that anyone gets the solo, which is probably what they're trying to do. The 2i2 has a lot of benefits for the extra $60 USD.
@@kettnercreative thanks! I watched your 4th gen comparison video a bit ago and that was definitely the vibe I picked up :) Having also just watched your WaveXLR video I’m gonna go that route. That was my original plan, but wanted to check out 4th gen stuff first.
Hi, I have a problem when I connect my audio interface to my PC, it generates a lot of noise like interference, loop ground or something like that, very annoying noise, and I can't make clean recordings. I am using the AUDIONOX USB 96 interface and the ROD PODMIC dynamic microphone, but nothing I do seems to work. Please help. 🫂
Grateful I found your channel, walking trough your videos. It's a gem 💎
