I have both of these devices. I can confirm that there is no better audio interface for recording podcasts than Vocaster Two. A brilliant device and great for recording interviews on the phone, which Scarlett doesn't do for me...
Always great content in your videos, thank you! I'm deciding between these two and my top priority is to improve my microphone's sound in virtual meetings during the day. Ideally, it would also be able to support my guitar, etc. but my meetings is the top priority. When you say the Vocaster 2 "is a much better audio interface" for meetings & podcasts, does it have features that will make me sound much better on meetings than the 2i2, or are you saying if you don't need the music inputs, you don't need to spend the extra money on the 2i2? I tried the Wave 3 to get the included EQ options, but had issues with delay, so planning to use an AT2035 that I already had. Thanks for any help here!
Hi. Any idea how to connect Umik-1 usb mic to Audio interface like this? does usb to TS/TRS cable work I'm planning to use it to measure impulse response. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing valuable information. Could you please tell me it is better to buy zoom h5/6 or scarlett 2i2 4th gen? In fact I am a teacher, and I want to record educational videos at home office. Thanks in advanced.
Not sure if the Two is the same as One (I assume it is), but I found the quality of the processor a bit off (as in, loud-ish noise floor). I had been using the MOTU M2, and that's excellent, and I found the Vocaster One to be not as good as the M2. My room is really well treated, so wasn't that, and I compared multiple mics (dynamic and condenser) on both and found the M2 better each time. Wondering if the auto gain has anything to do with it. Anyhoo, I've since upgraded to the Rodecaster Pro II as my needs have changed for inputs, processing, etc, and it's like night and day (as you'd expect, with the price difference). I even found ,my old Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen sounded better than the One, which surprised me.
HELLO PLEASE HELP - I am having issues with my 2i2 4th gen on Mac. When I set the device as the output so I can listen through my studio monitors, the audio shows up in my mic input in apps like OBS and zoom, ruining the audio and making it impossible to use as an output. It behaves the same on multiple Macs. Any idea how to fix this?

It also is better overall. I have it and there is nothing that i think might be missing, it truly is very good.
are the rednet series preamps that are in the 2i2 4th gen also in the vocaster two?
I wield the 2i2 & love it

Have you done a double blind test? I think you simply can't hear any difference when the levels are the same and eq is off.
Vocaster two is €69 at Thomann... 😂 I bought two, nice way to add BT to a setup. Plus the other functions are welcome too 😂
Sorry Kensington lock (mini usb cable) what does that do??
Obviously with the vocaster 2
