  • Installing RS-R super down lowering springs on my 2022 GR86!
    Lowering springs are a cheaper alternative to coilovers and today I show how to install them and what the resulting height change is.

    Looking perfect dude! I look forward to an update on these. Very interested since I don’t want to majorly change the suspension dynamics with coilovers or bags. Can’t get over that slight drop! It looks really good.

    Thanks for teaching us how do this! Installed my H&R springs yesterday with my dad and your video! The front is a bit difficult especially because of the control arm. And make sure to not put to much force on the screws holding the suspension up top!!!

      @@MKu64 actually I just googled it and I got the GR kit. The difference i noticed was the rear coils are grouped up more at the top than the brz version. I might be wrong but that’s what it looked like to me lol.

    I did TRD springs on my FRS, but this time I went with coilovers. Dropped it 1.4" and won't go any lower than that though. 2022 Toyota GR86 in Halo white and Hyper silver Enkei Raijin Wheels.

    It will be lower as the days go by and the spring settled trust me. to bad they don't work on my 2022 Corolla sedan se had them on but i had to remove it because you get a slide vibration on the driver side front keep an eye on that

      25mm spacers and I added adjustable cam bolts in the front strut which allow for about 1.5 degrees of negative camber.

    • @PhotomikesGarage
      @PhotomikesGarage  2 года назад +1

      With the RS-R's the rear camber is about 2 degrees and with the cam bolts in the front it's about 1.5 degrees. You will need adjustable lower control arms at the rear if you want to lower the car more or if you think 2 degrees is too much camber.

I can't imagine what they'll be doing with the extra 5.5 hours for a total of 9.5 hrs they quoted me for doing this on my 23 gr86.... You'd think that having a lift and best possible tools at their fingertips that they could finish it faster? @@PhotomikesGarage

  • @bmanz8117

    the car comes from factory set for perfect ride. spacers are a risk. just lowering springs will make it difficult to keep front-end alignment thus causing uneven tire wear.
