Agreed. Damon was obsessed with getting Katherine back in season 1 when he believed she was imprisoned in the tomb with the other 26 vampires from 1864 and as soon as he found out she wasn’t and after she rejected him in season 2, he started going after Elena. Stefan on the other hand was drawn to Elena because of her resemblance to Katherine but he fell in love with her because she wasn’t anything like Katherine and despite them breaking up, he never stopped loving Elena and never loved anyone else the way he loved her. Stelena should have been endgame and I’m still heartbroken to this day that they weren’t.
But let’s not act like Elena wasn’t treated like trash but still refused to give up on him. This whole “she didn’t deserve him” argument is getting old and not true

He left to save Damon and protect Elena. He came back a different person. Yes he distanced himself form Elena because he didn’t wanna feel that trauma that klaus put him through and he felt ashamed. I get some of what your saying but all he’s ever did was protect Elena. And Elena made out with his brother during that time also, she even chose to believe Damon over Stefan… I still ship Elena and Stefan tho

Becoming a vampire was the worst thing that happened to Elena, it ruined her character and to be honest it didn’t seem right for her to end up with Damon - until she became a vampire she didn’t choose Damon and her love and relationship with Stefan was more real and an epic love story. With Damon, it was better when they had an understanding and their relationship was developing but as a couple, in my opinion, they didn’t come anywhere near as epic as Stelena ❤💔😢
What Stefan wanted to avoid since Elena became a vampire and Damon did it in a second because he didn't know her, because he didn't know what to say to calm her down, because Damon just wanted to put her in his bed. And because of Damon she burned her house, her memories, inconceivable.
He is saying "sorry that it happened or sorry that I found out 🥺" it's because she before said in S3 that she wasn't feeling guilty that she kissed Damon she feels guilty just because stefan doesn't know.
And just after that she called Damon that she loved him. That selfish prick elena atleast she should have waited for some time to date Damon. I never hated elena more than this episode. She can fall in love with anyone she wants but can't see stefan hating her. What a selfish person she is.
S4 ep 10 was by far one of the worst episodes ever made in tvd. Not because of the plot or something, it was actually great, the whole game brought up some answers and I love Rebekah, but it was still so *painful* to watch
And the audacity of Damon and elena to judge stefan when basically they just broke stefan's heart. The selfish couple that's what I feel like about them. Also elena seems to forget that she is sleeping with someone who killed Jeremy too. 🤣🤣 Lol
Ever since Elena became a vampire and was sired to Damon I felt like took away the only part of Elena that was truly her. This is not Elena and the sire bond KEPT ON her by Damon took all agency away from her. Because that was something I was wounded right through the entire season is why doesn't Damon us tell Elena not to be sired to him.
