The one thing I will never forgive writers is how they have ruined Elena... She was so strong, caring, loving, brave, generous... And then they just made her Damon's toy. And Delena's fans will keep saying and trying to convince themselves that Elena's love for Stefan wasn't that strong. I mean, THIS.. these episodes just show how much she loved him, she stood by him even on the edge, she trusted him completely, she literally risked her life for him because she trusted him so much and because her love for him was so pure that she would've die for him in a blink of an eye just to bring him back to who he is, she just loved him for him, not just for the empty promise of adventurous life and so called freedom (with guy who literally tried to own her and take her free will away from him). I still feel like her relationship with Damon was just a lust and suppressed desires, because what she had with Stefan was so strong and real and they literally built their relationship from secrets and fears to complete trust, respect and love. This is what true relation is. To stick together, to fight for each other, to overcome all obstacles and becoming one.
Couldn't agree more, the TVD fandom is extremely bias with Delena to the point of overlooking Damon's terrible actions. Remember how Damon used his compulsion powers to turn Caroline and Andy into his little love slaves and abused both of them

It's so funny in the books elena is selfish and grows into her self as the the books continue, but in the tv shows you start hatong her character from season 3 onward. Terrible writing for her character, they coulsve done so much more
No he couldn’t. He was dependent on her love, or he would do something stupid or kill someone. Damon was more of a monster than Stefan. I don’t understand how she could be in a relationship with him.
