It blew my mind when I first heard this song playing when I played FE7 for the first time as my first FE game. I never experienced the franchise outside of Melee and the song playing many times in the Temple stage. So when I first listened to it, all those memories came flowing and I just sat there for a good minute listening to it.
I think this was the way alot of people first experienced fire emblem was throught melee. For me it because of melee i learned of marth and roy. So when fire emblem gba (FE 7 for usa) came out. I bought it. What a great game too with gteat music ! 🎉

Impressive. I found that healers like Priscilla and Serra are deceptively powerful, once their surprisingly high magic and res are turned against the enemy. Priscilla would use her movement to zip around the field, and Serra would tank everything with her 20+ res. One thing I enjoyed doing was pairing Hector and Lowen and diving them into the thickest enemy lines that didn't have spellcasters, rinse and repeat.
When i played my 1st fire emblem game like half a year ago (1st was blazing blade), when i heard this my mind IMMEDATELY went to smash brothers cause i know i heard this song cause it was marths theme, was so sick to find out it came from this and the most epic recruit music anyone can find

It just seems like a slap in the face to those that discovered Fire Emblem through Melee since it wasn't out here at the time. I never knew that they released a game here since Marth and Roy's trophies said Japan Only. That made it all the more sweeter when I found FE7 in my stepbrother's game bag. Then I asked for Sacred Stones for my birthday.
I didn't grew up with FE (Mario, Sonic and Rayman on my GBA when I was 6 years old) but I bought this FE few days ago and this is so cool :D (and not expensive, 40€ for GBA, I saw Radiant Dawn 100€ in the same shop :S)
@marthedge No, i meant as a basic lord. By the time Eliwood promotes into a Knight Lord, his skill with a sword is so high there's no need to use lances. And besides, you could always equip him with a lancereaver to get that extra hit rating lost by regular swords.
I've beaten it a few times on GBA, so I shouldn't feel ashamed, and yet, I still feel somewhat dirty. Might be because it's probably possible to win the game purely with Raven and a few supporting units. Man, that guy just does not die!
@Sherbrony ...This IS Fire Emblem 7. It's also called "Fire Emblem" overseas, and Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken in Japan. Fail on your part, my friend. Fire Emblem 1 was called "Fire Emblem: "Ankoku Ryu to Hikari no Ken" and was released in Japan back in the Famicom days.
