imo they shoulda only picked one, between lucina and robin, and added another fire emblem character from the series. like ephraim, hector, lyn, roy,or eliwood. hell sigurd, leif and celice(celiph) woulda made my top 3 to be added on and hector coming in for a close 4th guess il just play marth with his white armor for the leif feel though.
I would argue the closest any mix has come to besting it is the version in Shadow Dragon, but even then, this version will always be the best in my eyes..er..ears.

This one version is quite different from the Melee one. I hear different tones and the drums are also different. But they've tried to do it similar like in Melee, so that's a nice touch. No wonder why this one is my favorite theme from the FE saga. 💕
For those of you who have issues with this game, that's why we have Brawl Plus. Skull Kid, Zero from mega man, Metal Sonic, Viewtiful Joe, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Naruto are all available (they replaced other characters). There are skins that change the appearance, but the moves are exactly the same. There's a Groudon skin for Bowser and a Caterpie skin for Giga Bowser. Your Groudon evolved into a massive fire breathing Caterpie :)
@GeorgeMonet The creator is the guy who made Kirby, but held off on putting more Kirby characters in, because he didn't want to seem like he has favoritism. That would be the main reason the Kirby characters are so important in SSE as well. Besides, if you're gonna hate on a franchise, hate on the Starfox franchise, they are essentially ascended clones... at least Kirby as all original characters.
For some reason I always associate this song with Ike. I always thought it was his theme in Path of Radience and Radient Dawn. It seems to fit him so well, especially the name.
I remember when the one challenge mode where you had to fight marth and Roy in the temple. As a link main back then I always was like "COME NOW, LETS FIGHT 2V1? THIS IS FAIR" When this song kicked in, like the "tss tss tss" at the start got my blood pumping. Still does 😅

The thing that makes me happy as a Roy main from back in melee is that Roy is finally in a really good spot now in smash bros after 18 fucking years. He's finally in a good spot I wasn't around to play brawl, or 4, and the last smash bros installment I played was melee (unfortunately).

Plus, Roy was commonly recognized for being overpowered. Marth was a more balanced yet still popular character, especially if you've played the game. Next smash brothers, it wouldn't be surprising to see either Lyn or Micaiah, but we'll see XD
You're sort of proving his point. Each of the Kirby characters have primarily unique movesets. They didn't take the time to expand on other characters very much.

Roy was actually slower then Marth in melee. When it came to damage if you compared their attacks Roy did more damage. Meaning both characters have a similar playing style. The only difference is Roy is power based (still fast though) and Marth focuses more on speed.
let's be more precise Ike is the kind of character where each strike is true and earned leaving you with a feeling of accomplishment for mastering him Meta knight is kinda more of an easier character he's fine, but doesn't feel as satisfying

Once again, I'm not saying that skill doesn't play a factor and yes through reasoning you can overcome any obstacle. But, in most fighting games some characters are naturally better than others just like some humans are naturally fit for other things doesn't mean we can't do it, it just means people have an advantage if they are fit for it. You as a human can mold however you fit but you still have limitations much like the characters in the game.
"Tiers" will only get to you if you let them, if you persuade and just play better you will eventually over come them, and win you just need a strategy, anyone can beat anyone.
