The fact how the theme aged so well really goes to show how much the original composer nailed it the first time. Also no kidding it sounds like a national anthem (and one I'd rally behind lol)
Honestly...bless Yuka Tsujiyoko for this. She may not be around composing anymore, but what she created at the beginning, especially this theme, is absolutely wonderful, the perfect legacy.

This theme man. It’s really emotional for me, and I have no idea why. I didn’t grow up with the franchise technically, I only started playing like 6 or 7 years ago, but hearing it always makes me tear up a little. It’s just a really beautiful piece of music.
I’ll never forget my first timeplaying FE Blazing Blade on my gameboy back in 2005. I was 7 at the time and didn’t really play rpg games at all, but man was i connected with the music and characters. Fast forward to now I’ve played every FE that has released in America and each game has a special place for me
Wow, this video helped me realize something super interesting: ONLY FE5 and FE8 have that little expansion of the main melody (timestamp 6:39) :o Honestly I think it adds a lot to the song and makes those versions stand out from the rest! Crazy that they never thought to include it in the newer orchestral arrangements..
That little expansion originated as the opening notes to FE3, played by a synthetic French Horn duet. It remains my favorite musical passage in the franchise (as a Horn player myself I might be biased…).
It's really nice seeing each game in the series have its own rendition of the official Fire Emblem theme, each with the different soundfonts or instrumentation used in each game, also really goes to show how far this series has come whenever I relisten to this. Helps recapture that similar feeling of how it felt falling in love with this series.

This was an excellent mashup! As someone who got into the series with FE16 and has been getting into earlier parts of the series over the past few years, this was a lovely arrangement that serves both as a history and evolution of the theme. In a way, this reminds me of why I'm so excited for Engage: It's a culmination of a series that came back from the brink of cancellation. Again, excellent work, and I'll be sure to check out your other stuff!
I can't say it's a childhood theme for me, I discovered FE in high school, but man does that hit. These days I can't stop listening to Three Houses ending theme (A Star In The Morning Sky), and that part where the main theme starts somehow always brings the tears.

As someone who has only played Three Houses and Engage this is so damn beautiful. I can never go backwards as far as playing games, but i'm glad that this track has been able to hold up after so many years and still sounds amazing.
If you have a (good) computer you can emulate the older games. I also begun with three houses but was able to play the GBA titles and awakening thanks to this
The 3ds games are ALL amazing. Fire emblem awakening is especially good becaue it was supposed to be the last game until it sold REALLY well. They went above and beyond and added everything they could.

There is something magical about hitting the Radiant era and then the modern age and hearing how the sound changed with the hardware, ending with the absolute eargasm of the Three Houses version
With the *exception* of Three Houses, it’s funny that almost all of these have the same tune for the theme. It’s like they don’t want to stray from the original tune.
I cannot express how desperately I want to find the piece of music that the section at 0:24 comes from, and not the retro version, I mean full instrumental like in the video.

I don't know if it has any meaningful lyrics, but the melody is based on the main theme. I combined it with the theme from FE2 because it's the only other slow iteration of that melody. However, 3H changes the melody in a few ways so I had to manipulate the theme from FE2 to match 3H.
My biggest problem with Awakening is that it never plays the entire main theme anywhere in it and only has the first half, it is the only FE game to do this and including the side games as well.
Yeah basically. I've never gotten a strike for anything fire emblem related so I may be more strict in sticking with that. I might also combine things into one video since that ultimately screwed me over.
@@lakrzb yup the crest of flames is the name of the track, but the one used in this video with the ominous chanting is the beginning part of the 3 houses Main theme which is a combination of the FE main theme which played in the first part and Edge of Dawn which plays in the 2nd part

What editing software did you use to make this?
For audio editing I used a mix of audacity and garage band which are both free, and for the video I used VSDC which is not free
So how quickly will we get the sequel including engage?
Will have to wait until there's a clean copy of the audio file somewhere. But it would be nice to add that in!

It doesn't even have the full first half. It's more like the first quarter. I used what we did have to reconstruct the first half though
