The 2024 Olympics are officially underway and they started off with a bang... but not a good bang, more of a bang followed by a backfire. The opening ceremony at the Paris Olympics offended millions around the world and the backlash has been so fierce that the Olympic Committee has actually issued an apology. In this video I'll share with you some of the reactions coming out of China regarding this whole fiasco.

the Lords supper/ "feast of the gods" whatever they want to call it was a huge mockery... The guy with his balls out is particularly offensive. They definitely scrambled to make it seem like it was Dionisius or whatever but "DJ Butch" said it was a "queer new testament" on her own page(that big lesbian playing female Christ) the whole thing was a disgrace. Glad I dont care about the games.

I never cared about the Olympics until I was living in China. I was stunned (and disturbed) how the CCP manipulated the event for political purposes, really helping to further an us vs them mentality in its populace.

I find it odd that these people suddenly side with the CCP, that doesn't allow any artistic freedom, or radical religious fanatics, that don't allow any depiction of their religion. The games are great, awesome footage coming out of Paris, showing the greatness of European civilization, including tolerance and separation of church and state. Europeans don't let their great games be slandered by backwarded bigots.

You can't just pick one part and damn the whole ceremony. There were some great parts showcasing the history of France, I thought the revolution scene was very well done. The celebration of women who had fought for change was moving. The torch bearer and the Louvre scenes were beautiful, the figures from the paintings crowding around the windows. The Mignons were fun, the Can-can started nearly 200 years ago, imagine how shocking it was then! Celine Dion brought a tear to the eye and the lighting of the cauldron was spectacular. This was the first time a country had changed the ceremony from being in a stadium to showcasing a great city. There will always be some parts that don't appeal to people but just to focus on the blue man and runway part seems somewhat narrow-minded. There is an off button if you don't want to watch part of it or go and make a cup of tea.

Coming back after the worst opening ceremony in olympics, this is really bad and disgusting in many ways which i don't need to mention consider the fact whoever saw this (if you did too) get what i mean. What they have made from this awful opening ceremony, is just giving off the worst showing of everything that is there in the opening ceremony. it seriously lead to this, and that is what will happen to western society with something like this (with no offense included in this). It looks more then nothing then the worst combination of culture of countries and that of pop culture. This is going to be seen as a bad thing (for many reasons, not going to state them in case it violated youtube guidelines), starting with the worst opening ceremony for olympics, to things that people get entertainment with stuff like this that is in it like in movies etc

Well, technically they didn't remove it but have made it georestricted and unavailable in every countries on the planet LMAO. They also issued an apology to the people who were offended by the ceremony. Meanwhile, the replay of the London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 opening ceremonies are still there for anyone to watch, and videos from previous ceremonies like Beijing 2008 and Athens 2004 since RUclips live didn't exist at the time.

As Belgian , I couldn’t care less what others are thinking about it. I liked the opening ceremony because it is representative of the city of Paris . The Chinese are kinda hypocrites… Fa Guo France in Chinese , the Fa means right , law in Chinese . Because France is the country of human rights. … also, it’s the Olympic Games of Paris ! And it was de coubertain that restarted it 100 years ago in Paris . 100 years ago, Paris was the world city of lights , love, burlesque, moulin rouge , fornication , etc… even Josephine Baker was very well accepted in Paris and France a hundred years ago, when she had no civil rights in the USA … so, please stop this moralizing superiority complex nonsense, grow up and educate yourselfs . If you don’t like it , fine , don’t watch it, but don’t judge when you don’t understand it. Not all countries are like west Taiwan or USA . That is your problem. Olympic games opening ceremonies have evolved over recent decades, particularly since the amazing opening to the 2008 games in Beijing, into spectaculars that aim to celebrate and advertise the host country's culture, history, and national ideals. France, one might have thought and expected, could have celebrated its unique contribution to the world of art by showcasing the works of Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, Degas, Tolouse-Latrec, Chagall, etc... Instead, it puts on this vulgar display of pagan delights. But, that's France for you! Hey, at least they didn't have a guy in drag up on a horse pretending to be Joan of Arc!

The fact that could prove it was the Last Supper and not the Feast of Dionysus! In the Last Supper you can see a semicircle as the element below the ceiling and seven wooden beams spreading from it. It creates the visual effect of the crown only above Jesus. In the Olympics the woman had exactly the same crown - a semicircle with 7 beams. Another coincidence? There is no Christian martyr crown in the Feast. Besides, they love crowns. The witch gave a black martyr thorn crown to the special winner in the Eurovision. For all the suffering. Too many "creative coincidences"! It was the Last Supper mocked and perverted out of pride and victimhood. Christianity is being targeted.
