Praying won't help. We need to take action. First, reject all of this. Don't pay for it, don't watch it, don't consume it. Second, don't be scared to speak against it. Doesn't need to be in a "hateful" manner, but you can politely reject it and withdraw from participation. Fact is, vast majority DO NOT agree with this, but we are all silently accepting it. THAT'S the problem.

I had a wonderful time in France as an exchange student from Germany. Minus one time when an older French guy saw the bus we were on when we were traveling and he cussed us out. I learned many things about the French way of life back then. I remember the day Elvis died when I was sitting at a camping table in Corsica with my guest family when the announcement came through the radio. I cherish the memories I made back then.

My internet was out today for almost 12 hours. The younger generations would have been mad and confused. My wife and I are both Gen X and we put The Terminator on DVD on the TV. Watching a 41 year old movie and missing the 80's and it's simplicity compared to today's confusion of identity.
The younger generation doesn't loose their connection mine is a landline router it goes out but my kids have no problem with Thiers. it used to be different when they used mine..

I am an Olympian, I competed in the 1996 summer games in Atlanta, and when I was there it was the celebration of the athletes. This openings ceremony was a celebration of something else.

I've always liked to do things my own way, which in a lot of cases is doing things the way it was done in the past. E.g. using hand tools instead of power tools, using cash instead of card, using a phone purely for ringing and texting etc. In response, someone at work said to me a year or so ago:
"Why do you do always things in such an awkward way? If you don't keep up with society, you'll be left behind, you know."
It really bothered me at the time, but looking back, he completely missed the point. I really don't care about keeping up with society, and I care even less if society leaves me behind.

I was born in 1958 and I experienced what they called freedom growing up in the late 60,s early 70,s ,this country now is a totally different place from then. I,am glad I don’t have to be here much longer, I feel sorry for folks under 30 years old.
I feel the same, born 1955, look back with fond memories at simple pleasures and freedoms we enjoyed then and in 70s and 80s. Respect for elders and authority was taught at home and in schools, consideration for others and manners, people kept private things to themselves. Things are going wrong in so many ways now through 'progressive ' ideology forced on us. I am concerned for the decent young people who I know and am relieved to be getting near the end of the line, but determined to remain true to myself until then.

Many years ago in the United States, the state of Georgia held the Olympics. The big opening ceremony featured silver painted pick up trucks Driving in circles. At the time, it was very laughable because it was so stupid. We played in the backyard, explored the woods, and will always have an opinion about things. We are not afraid to speak our minds and have a tough enough skin to bear any backlash that comes our way.

The British Union Jack Flag can also be used as a distress signal when it is flown upside down. Because it is a somewhat complicated design it isn't easy to tell if it is flying normaly or as a distress signal. A lot of British people don't even know that.

I did not watch the Opening Ceremony. I did see snippets of it. It was a horror show, from my perspective. The mocking of the Last Supper, the celebration of the bloodletting of the French Revolution, the Horseperson of the Apocalypse, the random trio from the library, and all the while the athletes themselves ( the very point of the Olympics ) are held captive on boats, being ferried down the Seine like the mythical Charon did the Souls of the Dead across the River Styx to Hades. The western world has sunk so low.

We were locked outside all day during the summer and weekends. We drank from the water hose, played in the woods, and walked or rode bikes to our friend’s houses a mile down the road. We eventually got a Nintendo, but we stayed outside playing.

I agree with you Bjorn. I’m also a GenX, I live in the woods alone and live a simple life. I don’t participate in this conformity and luckily I’ve already raised my child. The answer is not to conform. Use your critical thinking skills and follow your own inner guidance. The woke thing is a disease of the collective consciousness. Gen Xer here. I’m a woodworker and was trained by my old world father who was a master at his craft from the old country. I watch young “woodworkers” who use computer driven tools “build” and while I can see some uses for these applications, I know that these same people have no clue how to actually work with their hands (sharpen their own steel, etc) once you take electric power out of the equation. Anyway, more power to you!
