the precision and presentation of the culture is just WOW. Ancestors must be clapping above the clouds.
Beijing's Olympic opening ceremony was one of the best if not best spectacle the modern human culture created.
Athens was arguably more creative as a performance. But they didn't build an architectural marvel stadium
Athens was the most artistic and human

Well, it's still better than the boring smackdown crowd we have nowadays.
@tai i know right. At my high school we would do that to get boring performer off the stage
@@Hanking-Yo-Schrader It would be if the clapping actually made sense to exist in that moment and people could even be able to hear the performance. The clapping shown in this video is just straight disrespectful and shouldn't have been a thing
if you don't have experiencing any Olympics Opening Ceremony in real life.. i told you each row of seat have Volunteers & Cheering Guide take a part to leading the audience.. they always ask audiences to clap, to waving a flag or turn on the lightstick, to scream and to do waving, to stand up for the anthem.. its happened with Athens 2004 too when audience start a clap during Solo Drummer performance.. also, go watch Beijing 2008 Full Opening Ceremony, you will see at the beginning there have the Volunteers teaching audience how to clap before Opening Ceremony has started..
Please be notice where the opening has taken place, and who is the biggest audience at the stadium? Asia isn't it! Is there Asia using the western way to convey their appreciation, for example clapping!
I am still getting goosebumps from watching this. I lived in China then and I remember we all watched this in a rooftop bar on a big screen. Everyone, locals and foreigners stood up with respect. We had tears in our eyes. We were so proud of the country we were temporary residents of.. so proud of their determination and might.
the pattern they create visually is just as impressive as their playing. How do you even rehearse that? t.t
Rigorously.
I think they rehearse in small groups and everyone gets shuffled between groups to make sure they are all practising the same thing
cuz all 2008 of them are in military. before Xi took the office, PLA has a separate branch that doing dance and large scale performance, they also trained singers.
Put it online, train individually, put it together in smaller groups, go big...
-give 2008 people the same drum demonstration. (be it in internet or via video clip)
-let them practice for like a 1 or 2 months i guess
-in 2 or 1 week before the event let them go in groups (in each group there should be a guide so others will follow and let the 2008 adapt and be comfortable with numbers)
-there will be a the big stage rehearsal checking all mics lights and etc
