Not really wild but one time I was traveling and the lady though my passport had expired. Turned out she was reading it wrong🤦🏽♂️

I’ve only ever flown once and sooooo glad nothing crazy happened at all
probably when my flight was cancelled in DC and I took a cab 9 hours back to Cleveland with some random person. They paid for the whole thing bc I was a broke college student lol
Landing at LAX , our area was closed, and had to walk miles to get our baggage , went to a nearby hotel, crashed for about 5 hours, then went to Hawaii the next day. Next time we will go from Atlanta to Hawaii.
For NY neighborhoods, I prefer Brooklyn.

I moved to NYC from the Midwest nearly 4 years ago (also after dreaming of being here for years) and assure you I still listen to Welcome to New York every single day just to feel something 😂 Learning the MTA is definitely stressful (especially later in the evening), but it becomes second nature so quickly. Welcome to the city!

It’s okay to cry- it’s a great way to relieve stress and grieve- your relationship- change etc.
At least it’s not all bottled up-
NY isn’t Chicago it has its own vibe- in every way- people either love the place or not-
Honestly since covid it’s different- the people are too- they got hit hard- not everyone can make it there- you will!
Your job is there-your creative juices will come alive-
Enjoy your adventure just please get rest eat healthily and exercise.

Hey girly! I totally understand why you are overwhelmed and cried a little but it’s okay! Everything will be fine❤️ I am 24 years old too and I’ve lived in 3 different states already. I’m originally from Milwaukee, WI and I went to college in Las Vegas. After graduation in 2021 I moved to Atlanta and I plan on moving again to a new city this year. So I say all of that to say I understand you and it’s okay to cry, feel overwhelmed and scared. You are in a new environment so that’s normal but it will all work out so don’t stress! Soak it all up and enjoy because NYC is amazing! I can’t wait for the NYC vlogs!

Don’t worry, babe! All the logistics stuff that are stressful now are temporary. You’ll be settled in no time ♥️ You got this. Just take it a day at a time. Emotions run higher when you’re exhausted. You’ll feel so much better soon. You had a long travel day and it’s a lot of change all at once. You’re allowed to be emotional. You’re human. I know a lot of us are so excited for you. You’ll tackle everything. Give yourself time, you so deserve it. You’re only 24 and you moved by yourself. It would be weird if you didn't cry on the first night! I am going to be making my first post-grad move in about a year or so (probably to Chicago haha) and I am already mentally preparing for it because it's going to be so much less structured then when I moved for Uni for the first time

The Transit app is so helpful for public transport in new cities!! Much better than google or apple maps IMO, and it updates to the transit system for whatever city youre in!
