Had bad case of Ich in my sw tank. This Ich this season is really bad not sure. But I did qt tank with copper power and parashield and still lost fish. I thought I was velvet at first but the fish stay alive for few weeks before they lost the battle. Left my tank fishless for 2 months half months. I had qt Royal gramma for 2 weeks and he was doing good and add him to DT and few days later all my fish had Ich so it was my Royal gramma could of start it. But I know fish can get stress and get Ich out of nowhere. 😢 but now I got gold flake Maroon and lighting hoping they don’t get anything crossing my fingers. ❤your channel
Sorry man but although you may have fish parasites, hydros and aiptasia that coral loss looks like nutrient issues out of control to me. Algae doesn’t grow without food and there is algae everywhere in that tank. Customer over feeding perhaps on top of everything else? Maybe look into a ATS to help with nutrient control. They work extremely well. Will help until coral grows in well enough to do the nutrient scrubbing for you.
The algae is a result of die off which raised levels. This tank ran on No3 0.25 pho .002 for its entirety until the die off. Not to mention the beneficial bacteria that was lost leaving room for algae growth.
@@aquariumservicetech2891 been keeping reefs for over 3 decades. Never seen algae explode like that due to some coral die off. That is some really bad luck if that is indeed where all of that came from. Increased maintenance would have gone a long way. It is nearly impossible to keep nuisance critters out of a reef. Just have to step up your game when they appear. Hesitate and you will pay the price. Hope you guys keep it under control with all the effort you are putting in
@@aquariumservicetech2891 the "beneficial bacteria" are purchasable... acquarium is science and if you do things well you can get beautiful furniture for your home, is not the inverse, stop to play with animals only coz u got money plz... I have 150 gallon aquarium had previously had probs since Christmas and. Was not happy fish would die after 5 days I I thought is was the pet store.but I had enough with it nothing was in the Aquarium .I couldn't understand why crabs and snails still alive so I put one fish and crabs in snails on 90 gallons Qt Aquarium. I'm liking I'm going to break it down vac the substrate. And my water was clear Was do to fish that caused the problem salt was not working with my salt. And the wrong fitter set up. I put FX4 fluval filtration system work s great let is sitting running 4 weeks freshwater. And put fish and salttwater last week so happy fish problem over 20 or so fish and Live plants .I would never get puffer ever again
We have people that use the Rubbermaid trash cans and it doesn’t seem to be an issue. I’d recommend the “ food grade” barrels. Expensive but worth the piece of mind.
@@smeshfactory3992 Yeah probably because they are new and I’d imagine peninsula style tanks are less in demand. If we sell one I’ll make a video for sure.

Wish you luck. Remember it’s not only 2 weeks of Qt but also another 2 weeks of observation to make sure you killed all parasites.
That Mandarin's copapod population died off hopefully he doesn't starve.
He’s able to eat frozen so that’s a plus

Thanks!
Isn't this the tank that you guys managed?
Use the same clean buckets. That's why they say never reuse plastic s
Why are you adding a dragonet to a fresh rebuild of a tank?
Client wanted it back plus it’s able to eat frozen
That’s gonna leach phosphate like no other my guy
Could you be more specific

What is a safe and suitable RO water storage? Will say like Rubbermaid or does it need to be Food Safe plastics?
