The storytelling in this cinematic was incredible!! When we first recorded, we mentioned that “Warriors” and “Awaken” were still our top favorites, but after watching this a million more times… we totally changed our minds! This one is definitely up there. Let us know in the comments which cinematic is your favorite! 😍 For the full, extended version of our League of Legends reactions, head over to our Patreon! 💥 Patreon.com/meeshanddee
me too, when I watched still here for the first time, I think that the call is better, but after a billion more times watching still here, i absolutely think that still here is NO.1 :3
What makes best the Tryndamere and Ashe part is that theY were only made to be husband and wife due to political reasons but they really fell in love. So when Tryndamere saw her when he was about to die(kindred is basically death like the reaper) his face softening makes me cry. Their looooove
Context: This cinematic is described as the "Past, Present, and Possible Futures" and if you noticed between each transition, there is very small image of Kindred as she comes to claim each soul's life, in the fire when Morgana burns Aatrox and her eyes in the faint woods as Yasuo accepts his death with the arrow being shot at him The first two characters you see (the angels) are Morgana (Purple Wings), and Kayle (White Wings) the twin Aspects of Justice. They're also sisters wielding two halves of their mother's blade (their mother was the previous Aspect of Justice). That scene takes place in the past of what we know of the lore right now, during a siege on a kingdom called Demacia, which happened in ancient times. To be an Aspect is kind of like being an avatar for a god. The person they're fighting is Aatrox, who, at one point, was also kind of an avatar for godly powers, but was corrupted by blood magic, and effectively "cursed" to never die. He now seeks the destruction of all existence in the hopes that he could finally rest. The last bit of the scene seems to be meant to show the differences in Kayle and Morgana's personalities. Morgana will sink to any low she needs to in order to do what is right, whereas Kayle sees herself above it all, looking at her position as an Aspect as far more important than it possibly is. Since this is the past, this is technically before Kayle and Morganna split and go separate ways on deciding how to deal Justice. But you can definitely tell Kayle is now mad at Morganna for using magic and two, throwing down there's mother sword. The second scene is of the future, in a small village in a land called Ionia. The old samurai is a character by the name of Yasuo, a master of a powerful wind technique. He's had a life of disgrace, and hardship, failing to save his master who taught him the wind technique, being blamed for his death, and then having to kill his own brother who hunted him down. Clearly, when he grows old, he finds a place in the small village, and lives there in peace until it's attacked, prompting him to take up a sword in defense of the people. The scene is pretty self-explanatory, but it's a very strong moment for League of Legends fans for sure. The final scene is my favorite. The whole video starts with the line "Tomorrow is a hope. Never a promise." This line is spoken by Lamb, one half of the character known as The Kindred. The Kindred serve as the Grim Reaper of the world of League of Legends. The story goes that Death was so lonely that it split itself in two, so it would "always have a friend". One half is the Lamb, and the other half is the Wolf. Lamb represents the peace in acceptance of death, wielding a bow to deliver a swift end, and Wolf represents the violence of rejecting and running from death, being literally a beast that mauls anything that tries to escape. You only see them when they've decided your time has come. (One last quick note - Lamb feels little but knows everything, while Wolf feels everything but knows little.) The character we zoom in on at the end is Tryndamere, a barbarian king of the Freljord (Frel-yord). At the very beginning, he seems to be in a battle for his life against surrounding forces. When we reach the end, his vision shifts to a darker scene, and the image of the Kindred come into his view. Wolf is on the offensive, because Tryndamere is trying to fight for his life. Lamb tries to deliver shots that will end him quickly, but it seems Lamb is surprised to see that Tryndamere has a power that lets him avoid death for a short time (which is what the red in his eyes means) (Tryndamere is also infused with blood magic, but was not corrupted; which technically allows him to become immortal when on the brink of death). It catches them off guard and lets Tryndamere almost get a blow in. While Wolf attempts to maul him, Lamb tries to go for one final strike, when Ashe, the frost archer, and wife of Tryndamere, arrives and kills two of the men that were attacking him. The Kindred and their darkness fade away, indicating that Ashe's arrival has saved Tryndamere from the Kindred's hunt, and the death he was destined for. As more forces move in against them, Ashe fires a hawk shot into the air to signal their position and call for reinforcements.
There's a discusian that Yasuo's fight would rather take place in Freljord and not Ionia (the landscape doesn't fit typical Ionian, at least that's the argument), which would be a foreshadowing of a second invasion of Ionia ending in Noxus winning and replacing Ionias. This discusion is also followed by voices that the final arrow aimed at Yasuo may be coming from Ash and not the Lamb. Ofc none of that was confirmed, it's all lore experts speculations but sounds quite interesting.
Kayle is not mad at morgana for using magic, she used magic too and at this time they both were venerated for using magic to protect demacia, it wasn't until long after they split that demacia banned magic. Blood magic never corrupted the darkins, that's Necrit misinformation.
no need to play the game (coming from someone who plays it). 90% of lore and stories are outside of the game, with the exception of voice lines of course.
Legends of Runeterra is a pretty good game outside of league. Cool voice lines and stories. But yes, totally agree with you on stay away from league the game
As a lore fan, I love the storytelling in this video. The past with Kayle and Morgana, the future with old man Yasuo, and the present with Tryndamere literally fighting off death with his undying rage until his wife Ashe shows up
Kindred in game quotes are some of my favorites. It was Lamb talking in the beginning. I’m sure you learned from Necrits video but Kindred is the embodiment of death, if you accept it then Lambs arrow will send you on your way quick and painless, if you try to run from your fate then Wolf will hunt you down. Tryndameres ultimate is called “Undying Rage” the character gets a couple of seconds where he legit cannot die. So when his eyes turned red he was ulting and fighting off death itself. Lamb lowered her bow whenever Ashe came in and saved him from the other soldiers. W: Lamb, tell me a story. L: There once was a pale man with dark hair who was very lonely. W: Why was it lonely? L: All things must meet this man, so they shunned him. W: Did he chase them all? L: He took an axe and split himself in two, right down the middle. W: So he would always have a friend? L: So he would always have a friend..
I also love Kindred's lines. @MeeshDeeReacts if you ever decide to listen to voicelines or short cinematics I would heavily recommend the Kindred and Fiddlesticks ones. They are amazing.
Long before Lucien and Senna, Xayah and Rakan, Leona and Diana or even Vi and Caitlyn, there was Tryndamere and Ashe. They're the OG power couple of League.
Legit. I was really impressed. I know it's a lot to take in and hard to remember, so going from the confusion in some of the videos to Meesh rattling them off.. Bitch, have you been doing research and flashcards behind the scenes?! Lol 🤣
13:09 By the way, you see that sword absorbed the snowflake. That's because a lot of the Freljordian weapons are based around a certain ice magic. True Ice, or something.
The lore behind this cinematic trailer is a really good one, representing the past, future, and present (in this order). Past: Kayle and Morgana fighting the Darkin Aatrox in old Demacia (presumably before it was even named Demacia). You can see Kindred's silhouette in the flames after Kayle shoots out righteous fire toward Aatrox which signifies that Aatrox can't be taken by Death (Kindred) as he is immortal (Defying death). Future: A vision (glimpse of a possible future) of Yasuo accepting his death after trying to atone for a sin he didn't make went back to his home (Ionia). You can see Wolf's shadow and eyes in the forest and Lamb's arrow (a representation of it) about to hit Yasuo as he closes his eyes to face death. Present: Tryndamere fighting for his life against other Frejlordian tribes and eventually using his in-game ultimate ability (Undying Rage) where you can see his eyes glowing red as he was infused by blood magic by Aatrox after falling against him in battle. In the game, Undying Rage gives Tryndamere 5 seconds of immunity to death, which basically tells us that after he stood up, he was given a choice by Kindred how he would die. Lamb offers swift death if you accept it, while Wolf will chase/hunt you down if you refuse. Seeing Tryndamere fighting off both Lamb and Wolf at the same time means he accepts death but can't die due to the blood magic. You can also see Lamb tilting her head (confused) after shooting an arrow and Tryndamere deflecting it. Eventually, being saved by her Queen (Ashe) just before his Undying Rage ended.
loved all your lol reactions! It was fun and well put together. The way the editor put this all together was really well done! Big respect and thank you 2!
It's an amazingly complex story and explanation behind "Still Here." I didn't get it until I saw Necrit's explainer video. The dualism of Kindred is just fascinating.
One of the parts I love most about this video is when Yasuo realizes that his time has come, because he looks up at the sky and then after throwing the hurricane at the man he just closes his eyes, accepting that his time has come. , and that's why he's killed by the lamb's arrow, and then before switching to the trynda part, you can see the wolf's shape...
Welcome to the cinematic Grand Finale!! What a banger. But the journey is far from over. Get ready for voice lines and more after the well deserved wedding break. 😍 Don't hesitate and drop your suggestions in the comments.
Have you considered showing them more champion teasers or champion related short vids? Just like you showed them Ekko's (Seconds) there's some others... let me see, I have a list with links somewhere from when we were working on a scrapped timeline of LoL media with the lore community... Braum (Trials of the Poro & The Feats of Braum), Bard (Mountain), Illaoi (Trial of the Kraken Princess), Taliyah (Homecoming), Aurelion Sol (The Star Forger Returns & He Has Returned), Kled (The Reunion), Darius (Fear), Irelia (The Defiant Blade), Aatrox (World Ender), Sylas (The Unshackled & Magic Is Rising: Stand With Sylas), Aphelios (The Weapon of the Faithful), Lillia (Beyond the Garden), Rell (The Iron Maiden), Fiddlesticks (Terror in Demacia), Gwen (Made with Love). That's where my incomplete list of urls ends (2021) but I'm sure there's a couple more. Like at a glance looking at the LoL YT channel there's the Briar one (Feeding Frenzy), Naafiri (Hounds of Iron), Milio (The Gentle Flame), K'Sante (The Hunter's Pride & Defeat Your Monster), Nilah (The Joy Unbound), Bel'Veth (Bel'Veth's Warning & Bel'Veth's Promise), Zeri (The Spark of Zaun), Akshan (The Rogue Sentinel), Qiyana (Empress of the Elements), Yuumi (Book of Thresholds), Vel'Koz (First Contact), Pyke (The Bloodharbor Ripper), Rek'Sai (The Terror Beneath), Kalista (The Pledge), Ivern (Friend of the Forest), Zed (Death Mark), Miss Fortune (Surrender), Kindred (Listen to Their Tale), Swain (The Noxian Grand General), Taric (Downfall), Sion (Reborn). The Wild Rift channel also has some for Pyke (Rise form the Deep), Samira & Sion (Weapons of Noxus), Urgot (The Test), Morgana & Kayle (Wings of Justice), Irelia & Riven (Broken Blades), Karma & Shen (Protectors of Ionia), Vladimir (The Crimson Threat)... did they watch Ekko's Arrival? Can't remember. There's a couple of the ones I mentioned that have a bit of gameplay mixed with the video (I think the first Sylas one and maybe the Akshan one?) but the voicelines during those gameplay bits are still pretty lore-juicy. There's more in that vein, that start with a 3D cinematic and the mostly show gameplay, like Yuumi (The Magical Cat), Neeko (The Curious Chameleon), Zoe (Aspect of the Twilight) and Qiyana (Empress of the Elements... yes it has the exact same name as the other Qiyana teaser). Also as Arcane fans it might be neat to look at the Arcane Animation Test vid in that same channel, and since they're familiar with many champions now there's a lot of skin cinematics beyond the ones they've seen with cute or cool interactions between champions. Off the top of my head there's the Lunar Revel one in the Wild Rift channel (Almost Home), and in the main channel there's Anima Squad (Fight for Final City), Coven (The Siren's Call), Lunar Revel (Hop On & Fortune Favors the Lucky), Spirit Blossom (Wandering Spirits), Porcelain (A Hero Awakens), Lunar Beast (Save the Celebration), Shan Hai (Shan Hai Scrolls: A Hero's Blossom), Mecha Kingdoms (Higher), the little True Damage skins teaser is pretty good (Breakout). And while there's some vids I didn't care for, e.g. Night & Dawn (Severing Fate), Arcade (Ultracombo), Project (Reckoning), PsyOps (Operation: Songbird) and the Crystal Rose ones, it would be still be cool to see their reactions to meeting the champions on those vids or seeing them with those specific skins. The PsyOps while not being fully animated shows Vi wrecking enemies. One of the two high quality Crystal Rose ones literally starts with Jayce IIRC. Oh, also some of the cinematics are not uploaded in the official League channels for some reason. The Big Bad Bear channel compiles those, like the Faerie Court cinematic, the Nilah Joins the Rift one, the Immortal Journey one, a Chinese-exclusive one for Hwei (Surging Beauty), the Crystal Rose ones, a lot of TFT ones that include chibi-versions of League champions, etc. Other nifty videos are: Season 2019: A New Journey (it features popular champs, great animation, funny anime vibes and a romance mini arc of sorts). Just One More (similar to the previous one, has funny animations of champs). Tellstones: King's Gambit (to showcase some Demacian culture and champions). You and Me makes Us (the Song of Nunu "story anthem" with pretty animations). There's also the Never Stop Me music video over at the WR channel which got a bit of hate for the animation and, less justifiably, for featuring diverse players but I found it to be pretty neat & interesting. It features Vi, Yasuo and Lucian. Did they watch the Legends of Runeterra cinematic trailer? I forget. There's some neat stuff in the Legends of Runeterra channel as well. The 3 Beyond the Bandlewood trailers have the cute story of the oveachiever yordle Ava Achiever (even if the middle one is much less animated from what I remember) and they feature many champs including Caitlyn. The Guardians of the Ancient is cool showing Zilean and Irelia. The one I'd love to see their reaction to is the Heart of the Huntress music video (Shine On) with closed captioning on, even if I get that it's hard because it's barely animated. I feel like they would like the Neeko x Nidalee ship. And this comes to another suggestion I thought about while writing this wall of text: I recently saw a video of some fighting game players reacting to all the splash arts of LoL champions and their skins. Since 2XKO is about to release, they were basically looking at the official Riot site in the section with all the splash arts, looking at each champ and all its skins for a few seconds (sometimes reading the very short, truncated lore bio blurb that's in there) and saying if they would like them to be on the fighting game or not. It was their most viewed video as it's usual with League-related reacts, and I found it pretty compelling. I think Meesh and Dee could totally do something similar. Maybe instead of reacting while saying if they'd like the champs to appear in 2XKO or not, it could be if they'd like them to appear in Riot's announced future series or even in Arcane S2 if there's a chance. You can either make it a very big video or split it up in parts since there's so many champions. As a heads up, the Riot site is not perfect. It doesn't have 100% of the skins and a couple of the splash arts are outdated. I think it's 90% complete though. I mean, the alternative would be to manually compile all of the default & skin splash arts in League, but that does sound maddening. But if you do build an elaborate setup just like you've done for all these LoL react videos, then you can intertwine the champion teasers and stuff like the Neeko x Nidalee music video in between those splash arts. Sounds like an herculean task though. Anyway, hopefully you find any of these ideas interesting!
@@teoentrelibros Okay, just let me take off a day to read this with the needed dedication...😉 JK You got good points there. First of all we will need to see how the new videos perform I guess. Where possible I would combine champion teasers (from League, Wild Rift and LoR) with voice lines ofc. A good mix of visual and audio input. We already had some skin lines covered, but I agree that we should have a look at some more for sure (Coven being one of my absolute favs). So there is surely potential for many great videos, but in the end it is necessary that M&D will still feel a connection to the content AND find a place in there schedule for this. We need to keep in mind that the channel is meant for shows and movies in the core.☝️ But as long as they have fun with it, we should be able to prepare great stuff for them. 😉 Great list you put together here. 👍
It's disappoints me so hard how many people don't follow or forget lore changes/updates, even Necrit himself. In Runeterra's Universe there are more beings like Kindred, there is even one who created them and one who will take them, and also it was explained that Kindred isn't "death", death is a natural thing that happens by itself, but in lore death isn't the end, after death souls go to the Spirit Realm, sometimes they're lost (for the reference Mordekaiser's lore nicely explains it), so to help those souls Mask Mother made "guiders", each with their own unique story, so they would be spread across Runeterra. _Mask Mother: "The masks they wear tell their tale."_ _Wolf: "I remember our beginning!"_ _Lamb: "I as well, dear Wolf."_
i'm on a League reactions binge and i swear yall are the most informed during 1st time reactions... it's amazing and pretty unique. thanks for the reactions!
For me it's definitely Still Here > The Call > Awaken > Warriors. I love them all though. Also when Meesh pulled Kayle/Morgana in the moment I was shocked, but when she pulled Tryndamere I literally paused the video, jumped back in my chair, audibly gasped and stared mouth agape at the screen. xD I binged all your League videos today so I was like how tf did you remember that hahaha. So impressed q: I'm also very impressed that you both recognized old Yasuo right away. That trips a lot of people up because of his age. And picking up on what was going on with the Kindred vs Tryndamere battle was really impressive, even coming in with the grim reaper knowledge. I know a lot of people didn't fully grasp what was happening there until several rewatches and explainers. Y'all are great at this! As most people say, there's absolutely no need to play League, the game is hard to get into and has no lore within the gameplay. It is a cool game though q: There's plenty of reason not to play, so I wouldn't push anyone to play it if they are just interested in the lore, you guys almost definitely shouldn't play, but I also think it can be a lot of fun. Especially if you, like me, mostly play non-competitively, in a casual team with friends. It's a great way for me to keep in touch with my friends, and I still love the gameplay after over a decade of playing, even if matches can be frustrating some days. Plus it's really cool to play as characters you like from the lore, like Caitlyn, Jinx, Vi, Kai'sa, Katarina, Evelynn, Taliyah, Kindred, etc. (all of whom I do indeed play)
Thanks for tuning in with us! The lore and champions are such a blast that we always feel like we’re missing out on actually playing League-but honestly, we’re just here for the stories! We’re lucky to have yall to keep us grounded. 😅 Dee was the one who immediately called out Yasuo-couldn’t resist that hair! Lol! She was always drawn to it! Also thanks for your rankings!! 😊
I'm sure it's been suggested, but the Necrit explanation of this cinematic is great. This is my #1 video because of the lore, the imagery, and the song are all top tier for me. Plus, when I played LoL over a decade ago, if I was on mid lane I mained Ashe. And, if I ever get back into it, I would like to learn how to play Kindred because of this video. Love your content, thanks for sharing!
My rank is: 1- Still here, not just because the cinematic, but the lore and details behind it is just so good and well done. 2- Awaken, particularly because all the champions in this cinematic are champions that I love so much. Also, the music is perfect and the animation is gorgeous. 3- The call, also because the lore and details, like Ornn forging a new weapon, the battle of Pantheon and Leona, Kai'sa and Taliyah vs the Xer'sai/Rek'sai, the Ursines... and much more. 4- Finally, Warriors, is not my favorite. I love the cinematic, the music... but I think this cinematic is pretty overrated by people that just watch Arcane. Is not coincidence that the most people who just watch Arcane love Warriors the most. Is not belittling the cinematic, is pretty good, but for me is not the best at all. Opnions aside, I love your channel so much! I hope you watch the lore videos of Necrit, they are very well done and entertarning!
Thanks for your ranking!! After we watched this video multiple times this is our updated ranking: 1. Still Here 2. Warriors 3. Awaken 4. The Call Thank you so much for watching! 🥹 We def want to react to his videos.
You guys would probably love that in arcane when Caitlyn and Vi go to the "house of pleasure" you see a couple in one of the rooms wearing kindred and wolf masks. It's pretty awesome.
some context here is that trynamere in game ult makes him unkillable so him fighting death (kindred) which makes that so cool to me. the first scene morgana and kyle are basically gods. their mother split her sword in half and gave each half to them. also Damecia is anti-magic. so the scene of morgana putting the sword down was symbolic of her only being driven by justice and leaving her mothers way behind. and using magic to protect a land that hates magic users. You are right that morgana was the nice one, she wants to do what is good and what she feels is right. While her sister is only concerned of justice and nothing else.
I would love to see more league content from you two! It is always a pleasure to see how you progress in learning the lore and stories in this fiction. I don't remember if you told that you had watched Necrit's MMO videos, and if you haven't already, I highly recommend checking them out! Also, you can react to some champions individually! Part of them has their own cinematics (like Naafiri, Annie and Ryze) and almost every champion has it's own music theme. I am very excited to see more league content of yours and it's always a pleasure! Also, congrats with wedding you decided on! Wish you love and luck along your way :)
this one grew on me after a couple of times watching, i still think awaken is my favourite but this is a very close second, the vocals are incredible just wish the ending was a bit stronger like in awaken where the final shots were the climax of the trailer whereas this one actually has a resolution and slows down after, i just personally prefer when the battles are left open ended and let you imagine who would win
This is one of the more lore heavy / easter-egg filled cinematics out of all 4, Id really suggest watching necrits breakdown on it because it just gives you 10 times more appreciation to the details.
I highly recommend watching Necrit's video on this one. The way he goes over the lore for all of this just makes the movie SO much more powerful and heartbreakingly beautiful. This is unequivocally my favorite cinematic to date, and the whole... "I'm still here" energy of it resonates very strongly with where I am in life right now. I'm making my way out of an abusive relationship, and that message of perseverance hits very close to home in the best ways possible.
Necrit have lore explaination video on it Leagueoflegendscinematic StillHere. #The Awaken, Warriors, The Call, Still Here Cinematic and Riot Forge games like Song of Nunu are canon to Arcane show.
I really appreciate the effort you go through to learn about the lore and engage with other creators to do so. You really didn’t have to but you did anyway. You might be interested in listening to different character themes. The music team is unreal.
I love the music in this one, 2WEI has been putting out epic covers, stunning originals, and movie trailer tracks for years and their vibe fits League perfectly! Old man Yasuo also reminds me of Old man Logan, they Wolverined my man 🤣) Fun fact, you did technically see another darkin, as Kayn ( from HEARTSTEEL ) shares his body with the Darkin named Rhaast, the demon living in his sythe and sometimes taking over their shared body, Venom style. He's got a fun and silly look in the PARANOIA MV, i love it! I think ya'll would enjoy the voicelines for Kindred! I like them a lot, Lamb's voice is very soothing, and it was their line opening the cinematic. And thanks to you and your wonderful editor for all the League content, it's so fun to watch! Really loved watching this while unwinding from a convention. (had fun in my HEARTSTEEL Aphelios cosplay, saw a lot of Arcane cosplayers there)
loved the recation! Still here us amazing and as a huge Morgana fan i was so happy to see her in cinematic. if i may also recommend im not sure if you watched all the champion teasers but i would recommend briar and naafiri teaser cinematics they were fun and there are also some other ones even with some in game looks included.
Finally, I've been waiting for this for so damn long! Honestly, this video has a lot of lore in it and if you're interested, Necrite has a video explaining the lore in the best way imaginable, I definitely recommend that you guys check it out!
Quite a few League fans were so happy with "Still Here", mostly because they finally got Kindred representated in a cinematic, and not just representated, but given such a good role in it. You two discuss Kayle and Morgana's relationship, but you can probably think of it like this: Kayle wants to cleanse the impurity in humans and will happily slaughter anyone who doesn't fit her image of what they should be. Morgana on the other hand accepts Humanity and its imperfections.
Most of the voice lines in this game are amazing. My favorite voice lines are definitely Morgana and Kayle's because they interact with each other, and it's very interesting. You can see how different they are, and how looks can be deceiving.
There is another game set in Runeterra universe called The Ruined King. Its a single player story driven game. I highly reccomend it. It's not as much of a commitment as the main game and has some great character moments.
Oh this cinematic is like a love letter to all the lore fans, I highly recommend that you check out necrit's explanation of the cinematic. You will love it even more 🤗🤗
I love the Tryndamere part so much. His ultimate ability is called "Undying Rage" which make him unkillable. So in the cinematic when being close to death Kindred Lamb comes to claim him but he literally just refuses to die. So Wolf goes for it instead since he's not accepting death. And he just doesn't give a fuck and just refuses to die to that too. LMAO. Love it.
if you guys are still planning on making more league reactions, you should check some champion trailers! like naafiri, briar, ksante, milio. really loved watching these videos with you
this cinematic never fail to give me goosebumps and the heartwealming of the characters , you guys need to watch the breakdown of it on necrit , and most people were sleeping on kindred , i've been a fan since day 1 just from her voicelines but i've never imagined tryndamere position that everytime he uses his powers to be immortal he starts fighting kindred the reaper in a 2v1 such badass( for example that old cinematic when garen stabbed him he gets angry and doesnt die he starts seeing kindred not garen )
6:57 They are from a kingdom/area that would one day be called Demacia. At least, that's where they are in this cinematic and where Kayle established her reign, from my memory. I think they grew up on Mt. Targon, or were taken there because Mama was an Aspect. I'm a bit fuzzy on it all at the moment. I just want ya'll to enjoy the videos and trivia. 😊 Garen, the buff Demacian soldier, calls down a huge sword for his ultimate ability, and many folks call it is Kayle sword. She is heavily worshipped or divinely hailed in Demacia.
Just wanted to say that Necrit does a really good breakdown of Still Here connecting to the lore. As some have already said the fight with Morgana and Kayle is the past, the Tryndamere is the present and the Yasuo one is the future. The one with Yasuo is very interesting, about how he probably don't kill anyone, he's just knocking them with his windempowered sword and at the end he knocks away an enemy from the wall of arrows coming. But in this whole cinematic the thing I love is Kindred. They are tied number one with 2 or 3 others of all the champions imo. About Darkin: So long story short, the Darkin are basically Shuriman demi-gods being corrupted and sealed away in weapons for all eternity, and then they try to corrupt anyone that touches them to take over their bodies.
Old league player here: As someone who has grown out of love with League of Legends game but still love these characters I still play Team Fight Tactics. It's much more new player/casual friendly and get to still see the characters I love
The demon is Atrox. So, if you pay close attention, Kindred is in every segment. The video represents the past (Kayle and Morgana), the present ( Tyrndemre) and future (old man Yasuao). I recomment watching Necrits video on the lore of this video. It goes DEEP.
In the part about Yasuo, it depicts a future that no longer happened. It shows what Yasuo would have been like if he had not forgiven himself for the guilt of his past. However, in the game Ruined King, when Ahri and Yasuo arrive in Bilgewater, they help each other overcome the burdens of their past (Ahri also has a sorrowful past), so Yasuo is no longer tormented. You can try out the game Ruined King, as it has a very well-written storyline.
The last scene was incredible. Tryndamere sees Kindred every time he uses his immortality. Which is the first time seeing Kindred and we saw that Kindred had a confused expression, either because he refused to die or maybe they were surprised by his immortality ability. Kindred has it difficult
Big recommendation from me: This is War by Falconshield. Its a series of Rap battle style Lyric videos between League Champion. It has dope visuals, great music and fire bars with lots of references. In general it's really high production value for being fanmade. So much so that riot did a collab with them on one of them. Definitely criminally underwatched in terms of reactions!
This Cinematic was indeed Epic as hell, everyone who saw it when it came out were in awe. Necrit did break it down in a video, and explains nicely all the Easter Eggs and lore references. Worth a watch in my opinion, on camera or not! Other fun facts/remarks : - Aatrox is one of the Darkins, ancient God Warriors from Shurima whom got their minds corrupted by fighting the Void. There are many in the lore, but 4 of them are playable Champions : Aatrox, Varus, Kayn (Rhaast) & Naafiri. - I like that you guys will soon tackle some voice lines, these are so much fun to watch and can be very interactive, especially with 2 reactors! I 100% trust Master of Puppets to guide you through these! 😍 - I'm surprised that you recognized Yasuo so fast! Many people whom played LoL for years, and even lore experts failed to recognize him as fast as you did!! 😂Def pre-watched LOL😉 - Congrats on the wedding!!! 😍
My first time coming across your channel with this video. From this viewing I'm guessing you guys are arcane fans and might not play the game. I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. Love that you guys knew almost all of the champions and how your invested in the game/series and lore. Keep it up. Subbed :D
Every single time I hear the last "I'm still here" when Ashe saves Trynda I get chills in my entire body, this cinematic is just peak lore for me. My top 3 would be: Still Here, The Call and Awaken.
Some facts about this video: -Tryndamere is related to Aatrox, he essentially got his barbarian rage from a fight he had with Aatrox. As a result, he can defy death every time he enters his rage (hence red eyes). At the end, it was symbolic, since he saw Ashe and she calmed his rage. -Ashe's society is matriarchal, and she previously denied many suitors. It was a major upset that she and Tryndamere were bonded, since he was a barbarian and outsider. He's also best friends practically with Braum, since Braum's shield can withstand his strikes when he enters a blind rage. -Kayle and Morgana used to work together in ancient Demacia. Their mother essentially threw both her swords down, with each sister taking a sword and representing the two halves of justice. Kayle being blind (absolute) justice, whereas Morgana is compassionate justice. This video took place about the time before they had their major fight but after Kayle began to lose trust in Morgana. Kayle is also the reason that Demacia is so black and white about mages and justice, since they revered her and lost Morgana's name over time. -The Yasuo section is meant to depict old man Yasuo, a new skin for him, alongside showing his final moments in the future. -In both the Aatrox scene and Yasuo scene, you can spot Wolf from Kindred in some fashion, most easily seen with Yasuo's scene in the treeline. Since he accepted his oncoming death, the first arrow to hit was Kindred's arrow (a peaceful death). -Pretty wild when you consider that Tryndamere not only was fighting death with his rage, but nearly killed Lamb (although, she may not be able to die).
I have been absolutely loving watching your two's journey throughout learning Runeterra through Arcane. I, realistically, think simply diving into all the cinematics at such, especially at this point, with a bit of research, you can really understand a lot of what the world has to offer! It's one of League's best selling points, in my opinion, and Riot (the creator) doesn't even use it to their advantage right. My reply as someone who has watched way too many Arcane and the (often) many League videos that come after; when it comes to the games, that is completely up to you. If you're interested, most of them are on every platform except mobile. I personally would recommend started with The Ruined King Game first as it literally can be played on a Story Mode difficulty that removes all battling. (People are right, stay away from League itself lol. Unless you just play Co-op vs. AI.) As for Necrit videos, I don't think it's needed to understand the lore in most cases, but I personally love and have watched probably every single Necrit video. If you plan on reacting to any on the channel, *"The Fall of Ichathia"* is possibly one of the best stories Riot has ever written and Necrit's delivery is really good too!
In the Cinematic, Tryndamere is actually fighting death and is, in fact, on the brink of falling. You see the eye glowing red? It indicates his Ultimate skill’s on. Tryn’s ult is normally used in such situations when your HP bar is near or below 1%, almost invisible. Making you invincible to absorb all damage for a short period of time. You cant control the length of it. Kindred is a grim reaper. She is there to collect Tryns life. He’s figting back death itself!! while the background is dark. You can’t see the enemy only Kindred, which is also an indication of your vision fading while walking toward death. Two Arrows, then all is recovered. Tryns eye coming back to normal. And to remind you, Tryns ult length(unable to cancel it manually)can’t be controlled. Also if your enemy is still around when it goes off…big trouble! He was that close due to his ult ending. Ashe was right on time as a savior. Hope you get how great the specific scene is.
1) Warriors- I just love it when they do choral versions of pop songs. The depth to the sound that a choir can bring really resonates with me. 2) Awaken-Probably a bit of nostalgia on why this is second instead of lower 🤣 3) Still Here-This is SO good and as a former trombone player, that low brass moment was amazing 4) The Call- Incredible visuals, really all around great, but something has to be last.
Fun fact, in episode five of arcane in the brothel you see two characters that have the kindred masks on. League of Legends is easy to play they teach you how to play at the beginning, the only thing that you would have to worry about is playing with other people.
Now you can probably watch Necrit video to add a little context to what you have seen, and there is Fiddlesticks which is a must watch (3 video, one cinématic, one making of with music and his voice line)
8:00 If ya'll are down for voice lines and/or short stories, Kindred is....poetry. The RUclips video of their lines could be an emo poetry jam, and there is a video of their dhort story "A Good Death" that reads just like the tragedy one would expect from Death on Runeterra. Very enjoyable.
for me .. this was probably my favorite one, because of the Trynda section so stuffed by lore, and Im amazed that somebody that does not play the game can remember so many champions names And if I could recommend btw, it would be the Ornn, The Fire Below the Mountain, where his followers sing the "The path to Hearth-Home" or some vicelines from the chanel "Just Another Nobody", where particulary Viego (before they butchered his story) are Braum stand up to me
A little extra lore, the reason why tryndamere has his power is because Aatrox essentially “created” him, preparing him to become his next mortal vessel (whoever wields aatrox’s blade gets possessed, the darkin’s soul is sealed in the weapon
That scene of Trynda fighting kindred because the warriors were going to kill him, but he escaped death because Ashe killed the 2 warriors... this was CRAZY
K/DA is queen above all for me. But for these cinematics hmmm. Warriors, Still Here (Kindred - need I say more?), Awaken and The Call. Great reactions! Great video. Keep reacting! Cheers
I dont know what it was about this one, maybe the song, maybe the crescendos, i dont know, but the first time i heard this, I think I had tears in my eyes lol. You guys don't play league? Cause you guys know so much already lol. This only makes me way more excited for Arcane season 2. I dont want to speak against League, I used to play a ton back like 5 years ago, but the game has a steep learning curve, even for seasoned gamers, is very time consuming (a summoner's rift game is at least 30 mins, and you dont just play one - a teamfight tactics game is at least 30 mins if youre really trying to win), and, while there've been a lot of effort on Riot's part to reduce it, the community, in game specifically, isn't the greatest, there's a lot of salt to put it mildly. Ive pretty much reduced my playing to like one or two games a month and just enjoy the lore now - im not sure id recommend playing it lol What I CAN recommend however is possibly reacting to some actual gameplay with commentary, so youll know how a game goes, and the incredible skill it takes to get to the top. Im sure your editors can recommend some good videos and/or put together a playlist of stuff you can enjoy and learn from. Okay sorry for the essay, this is how much i do actually love League despite not playing anymore haha, great reaction!
As the editor for their League vids, I just want to say thank you for the effort put into this comment. There was alot going on behind the scenes to make sure they had a structured journey through LoL lore (while not spoiling potential reactions) and I'm so glad their efforts in learning all they did in the last couple of months has grown to this point! Their LoL lore series will be put on hold for now, but keep an eye out! They have stuff planned to come out before Arcane S2. As a casual Wild Rift/TFT/LoR player also, no worries, I've definitely warned them against forming any interest of playing the game themselves. ;)
@@hungryrabbiddawg Wonderful! Thank YOU for doing such great work editing and all the information you've given them to make these reactions, and all the others, honestly amazing. Ill be very patient for the league stuff and enjoy everything else for now. Thanks!
I can't go through EVERY comment, but just in case, there is a strong theory (Necrit? TB Skyen?) That "seeing" the Kindred is metaphorical, and that Trynd is actively battling the warriors from the invasion force. Kindred's fighting covers the artacjs of the enemy soldiers, but on the verge of death, Kindred would absolutely be watching over that "last" fight. I don't have an opinion beside both realities are epically badass. As someone who has play many Kindred games, I'm just overjoyed to see them get the spotlight is such a majestic, horrific manner. Also, seeing my girls Kayle and Ashe makes me smile. My main gal, Evelynn, only gets music videos. 😢
Just a cool thing is that Yasuo here did not kill anyone, he is using the wind technique and not the blade (you can see it in the slow-motion) and at the end he is "embracing" his death, we can see that because the white arrow which is Kindred one.
how strong are champions according to lore is a really good video by Necrit. i dont konw if you would want to do a reaction to its like a 45 minute video. but it does go over a bit of lore and all the champions in league as of 3 years ago, so well over 140 champions or so. Necrit has a bunch of league of legends vidoes as he is the un official lore master. Also congradulations on your wedding and hope it is as wonderful as your reactions.
There is so much storytelling in this Video. Necrit did two very good Videos about it. Would be really cool seeing you react to it. But even tho you wouldnt react, you should still watch it.
Tryndamere's ultimate prevents him from dying and Kindred is literally death incarnate, so what this scene portrays is that whenever Trynd uses his ultimate he actually fends off Kindred themselves.
Im huge on lore and how much is shown so I will rank them based on that for me. 1. The Call (This one has such strong lore and music to match imo.) Pantheon has got to be one of my favorite characters. 2. Still Here (Kindred is my favorite representation of the grim reaper I've ever seen. Lore is filled in this one as well.) Not the biggest fan of Kayle but Morgana, Aatrox, Yasuo, Trydamere, and Ashe are all characters I love and play actually. I'm trash at Aatrox tho. They are all so compelling. 3. Warriors (Loved the lore in this as well and loved the song.) 4. Awaken (No real issue with it at all... this one was the most... liberal with the lore for sure unless they changed it.) For example, Akali wouldn't be caught dead fighting in the war last I remember... but I might be wrong as I haven't checked lore in awhile. The Jhin bow is a fantastic scene tho.
Just a fun theory Tryndamere in the game have a skill where if he's about to die he can hang between life and death in which everyone who's on the end of their life was said to meet Kindred(Lamb and Wolf) so basically everytime Tryndamere defy death he plays with wolf and lamb as in every single time🤣
The storytelling in this cinematic was incredible!! When we first recorded, we mentioned that “Warriors” and “Awaken” were still our top favorites, but after watching this a million more times… we totally changed our minds! This one is definitely up there. Let us know in the comments which cinematic is your favorite! 😍

me too, when I watched still here for the first time, I think that the call is better, but after a billion more times watching still here, i absolutely think that still here is NO.1 :3
What makes best the Tryndamere and Ashe part is that theY were only made to be husband and wife due to political reasons but they really fell in love. So when Tryndamere saw her when he was about to die(kindred is basically death like the reaper) his face softening makes me cry. Their looooove
ugh my heart
For me, it's the really subtle lift of her eyebrows showing her concern
To lore. Tryn can't die. He's like the Hulk where anger won't let him die
and this is why he is not surprise by kindred and knows how to fight against, its not his first time.
Same. It made me emotional and tear up a little
Context: This cinematic is described as the "Past, Present, and Possible Futures" and if you noticed between each transition, there is very small image of Kindred as she comes to claim each soul's life, in the fire when Morgana burns Aatrox and her eyes in the faint woods as Yasuo accepts his death with the arrow being shot at him
The first two characters you see (the angels) are Morgana (Purple Wings), and Kayle (White Wings) the twin Aspects of Justice.
(One last quick note - Lamb feels little but knows everything, while Wolf feels everything but knows little.)
The character we zoom in on at the end is Tryndamere, a barbarian king of the Freljord (Frel-yord).
🔥🔥🔥
As for the final scene... Long story short
Man's too angry to die
There's a discusian that Yasuo's fight would rather take place in Freljord and not Ionia (the landscape doesn't fit typical Ionian, at least that's the argument), which would be a foreshadowing of a second invasion of Ionia ending in Noxus winning and replacing Ionias. This discusion is also followed by voices that the final arrow aimed at Yasuo may be coming from Ash and not the Lamb. Ofc none of that was confirmed, it's all lore experts speculations but sounds quite interesting.
I highly recommend reaction to "necrit- riot mmo is already done" great overview of the world as a whole@@MeeshDeeReacts
90% of lore and stories are outside of the game, with the exception of voice lines of course.
no please don’t play this shi, the lore and champion are so good but DON’T touch the game
Dont bring them to the dark side lol
@@shirou0301 is that not what i said?
Legends of Runeterra is a pretty good game outside of league. Cool voice lines and stories. But yes, totally agree with you on stay away from league the game
@@SadPorkChopno wonder it died. Because of these cringe "don't play the game" people.
There is also Garen and Katarina (don't edit though, you will lose the ♥)
Before all of them, there was Lamb and Wolf. Kindred.
Case closed.
tita meesh really out here naming these champs easily 😂 you're too good
Tita Meesh knows too much 😂
Legit. I was really impressed. I know it's a lot to take in and hard to remember, so going from the confusion in some of the videos to Meesh rattling them off.. Bitch, have you been doing research and flashcards behind the scenes?! Lol 🤣
I love Morgana's hip-wings. They just look so cool, and is a refreshing change to the standard "angel-wings".
Butt wings another style😅
13:09 By the way, you see that sword absorbed the snowflake. That's because a lot of the Freljordian weapons are based around a certain ice magic. True Ice, or something.
Very Tryndemure, very mindful.
omg this is hilarious - we using this one!
You actually cooked with this one
I both love and hate you for this. 🤣🤣🤣
The scar detail, even Necrit didn’t catch it at first, so props to you
loved all your lol reactions! It was fun and well put together. The way the editor put this all together was really well done! Big respect and thank you 2!
Thank you so much for watching along 🥹🙏🏼 more to come!! 💘

And this comes to another suggestion I thought about while writing this wall of text:
I recently saw a video of some fighting game players reacting to all the splash arts of LoL champions and their skins.
@@teoentrelibros Okay, just let me take off a day to read this with the needed dedication...😉 JK
You got good points there.
We need to keep in mind that the channel is meant for shows and movies in the core.☝️
But as long as they have fun with it, we should be able to prepare great stuff for them. 😉
Great list you put together here.
_Mask Mother: "The masks they wear tell their tale."_
_Wolf: "I remember our beginning!"_
_Lamb: "I as well, dear Wolf."_
You two are awesome and i love your content. Seeing you two read up on the lore, explain, and understand makes these vids so much more enjoyable.
We finally here :) Sad to see this series on hold for now, but looking forward to more LoL soon :)
i'm on a League reactions binge and i swear yall are the most informed during 1st time reactions... it's amazing and pretty unique. thanks for the reactions!
Kindred absolutely is one of the coolest champions, and their voice lines actually get me a bit choked up.
So impressed q:
I'm also very impressed that you both recognized old Yasuo right away.
My rank is:
1- Still here, not just because the cinematic, but the lore and details behind it is just so good and well done.
After we watched this video multiple times this is our updated ranking:
1. Still Here
2. Warriors
3. Awaken
4. The Call
Thank you so much for watching!
Halloween is right before season 2 premieres, so... Meesh as Morgana and Dee as Kaisa would be insanity. LFG!
this one grew on me after a couple of times watching, i still think awaken is my favourite but this is a very close second, the vocals are incredible just wish the ending was a bit stronger like in awaken where the final shots were the climax of the trailer whereas this one actually has a resolution and slows down after, i just personally prefer when the battles are left open ended and let you imagine who would win
Up
Necrit have lore explaination video on it Leagueoflegendscinematic StillHere.
Old man Yasuo also reminds me of Old man Logan, they Wolverined my man 🤣)
Fun fact, you did technically see another darkin, as Kayn ( from HEARTSTEEL ) shares his body with the Darkin named Rhaast, the demon living in his sythe and sometimes taking over their shared body, Venom style.
(had fun in my HEARTSTEEL Aphelios cosplay, saw a lot of Arcane cosplayers there)
You guys could do the champion cinematic next! Briar and Naafiri were both good, and other LoL fans could suggest the ones they wanna see here too.
loved the recation!
Meesh knowing so much about the lore is just funny as hell. She really is invested isn't she? Absolute respect to y'all.
There is another game set in Runeterra universe called The Ruined King. Its a single player story driven game. I highly reccomend it. It's not as much of a commitment as the main game and has some great character moments.
I want to see your reaction to Necrit's 2 videos on this. This legit brings a tear to my eye everytime i watch it
Oh this cinematic is like a love letter to all the lore fans, I highly recommend that you check out necrit's explanation of the cinematic.
LMAO. Love it.
if you guys are still planning on making more league reactions, you should check some champion trailers! like naafiri, briar, ksante, milio. really loved watching these videos with you
"Damn she just Jean Greyed him" got me creasing 😂 for Kayle 3:00
this cinematic never fail to give me goosebumps and the heartwealming of the characters , you guys need to watch the breakdown of it on necrit , and most people were sleeping on kindred , i've been a fan since day 1 just from her voicelines but i've never imagined tryndamere position that everytime he uses his powers to be immortal he starts fighting kindred the reaper in a 2v1 such badass( for example that old cinematic when garen stabbed him he gets angry and doesnt die he starts seeing kindred not garen )
Garen, the buff Demacian soldier, calls down a huge sword for his ultimate ability, and many folks call it is Kayle sword.
About Darkin: So long story short, the Darkin are basically Shuriman demi-gods being corrupted and sealed away in weapons for all eternity, and then they try to corrupt anyone that touches them to take over their bodies.
you guys have no clue how excited i am for yalls reaction to arcane season 2 im so hyped
I love that you have been watching my boy Necrit. Their videos are a love letter to Leagues Lore
Fun fact: Tryndamere and Ashe are based on one of the founders of Riot and his wife. Marc Merill’s ign is Tryndamere and his wife’s name is Ashley!
You should watch Necrit's video explaining this cinematic. I think you'll love it. Also, congratz on the wedding
Thanks so much!! 🤗🩷
I really recommend watching Necrit’s video on the trailer. There is so much lore hidden in there it’s crazy.
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiii!!!! nice !! I was waiting for this
"Are you a League of legends Encyclopedia?" Haha. She is guessing the champions really well, someone is playing league when no one is looking 👀
FINALLYYY I LOVE THIS ONE
This Cinematic was indeed Epic as hell, everyone who saw it when it came out were in awe. Necrit did break it down in a video, and explains nicely all the Easter Eggs and lore references. Worth a watch in my opinion, on camera or not!
Other fun facts/remarks :
- Aatrox is one of the Darkins, ancient God Warriors from Shurima whom got their minds corrupted by fighting the Void.
- I'm surprised that you recognized Yasuo so fast! Many people whom played LoL for years, and even lore experts failed to recognize him as fast as you did!! 😂Def pre-watched LOL😉
- Congrats on the wedding!!! 😍
We are def checking out the Necrit breakdown! We trust MoP 100%, we are so hyped for the future content. And tysm!! you are too sweet! 🫶
My first time coming across your channel with this video. From this viewing I'm guessing you guys are arcane fans and might not play the game. I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. Love that you guys knew almost all of the champions and how your invested in the game/series and lore. Keep it up. Subbed :D
Congratulations on your wedding Meesh and Dee!!!!
Every single time I hear the last "I'm still here" when Ashe saves Trynda I get chills in my entire body, this cinematic is just peak lore for me. My top 3 would be: Still Here, The Call and Awaken.
Some facts about this video:
-Tryndamere is related to Aatrox, he essentially got his barbarian rage from a fight he had with Aatrox.
I love how Tryndamere fighting and rejecting one of Kindred's arrows like saying "you won't take me peacefully"
"If death wants me it has to earn me" type shit.
@@devinwhite5064 God of War reference, nice
@@victorcastellanos484 is that what thats from. good to know.
2) Awaken-Probably a bit of nostalgia on why this is second instead of lower 🤣
3) Still Here-This is SO good and as a former trombone player, that low brass moment was amazing
4) The Call- Incredible visuals, really all around great, but something has to be last.
Fun fact, in episode five of arcane in the brothel you see two characters that have the kindred masks on. League of Legends is easy to play they teach you how to play at the beginning, the only thing that you would have to worry about is playing with other people.
Congratulations on your wedding! Wishing you endless years of happiness!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!! This one is my favorite by far.
I don’t know who any of these characters are, but it’s super fun to see how excited you two get when you recognize them! ❤
it would be awesome if you could react to Overwatch cinematics, you will love them !
maybe the first to watch could be :
overwatch cinematic dragons
Congrats ladies you just tied Run to the Movies with 35K Subscribers great job.
ooooooooooooohhh ive been waiting for this reaction FINALLY
for me .. this was probably my favorite one, because of the Trynda section so stuffed by lore, and Im amazed that somebody that does not play the game can remember so many champions names
And if I could recommend btw, it would be the Ornn, The Fire Below the Mountain, where his followers sing the "The path to Hearth-Home"
or some vicelines from the chanel "Just Another Nobody", where particulary Viego (before they butchered his story) are Braum stand up to me
1 MINUTE AGO! LETS GOOO LOVLIESSSS ❤❤❤
I agree with Meesh!
1) Warriors
2) Awaken
3) Still here
4) The Call
A little extra lore, the reason why tryndamere has his power is because Aatrox essentially “created” him, preparing him to become his next mortal vessel (whoever wields aatrox’s blade gets possessed, the darkin’s soul is sealed in the weapon
Definitely should watch Necrit's video explaining Still Here.
lets goo the best cinematic so far
LITERALLY TEARS
That scene of Trynda fighting kindred because the warriors were going to kill him, but he escaped death because Ashe killed the 2 warriors... this was CRAZY
1- Warriors
2- Awaken
3- Still Here
4-A New Dawn (Its old but nostalgic)
5- The Call
K/DA is queen above all for me. But for these cinematics hmmm. Warriors, Still Here (Kindred - need I say more?), Awaken and The Call. Great reactions! Great video. Keep reacting!
Cheers
I’ve been waiting for it!!!
LFGGG!!!
Ive pretty much reduced my playing to like one or two games a month and just enjoy the lore now - im not sure id recommend playing it lol
What I CAN recommend however is possibly reacting to some actual gameplay with commentary, so youll know how a game goes, and the incredible skill it takes to get to the top.
3. Warriors (Loved the lore in this as well and loved the song.)
Love this reaction!
