Everybody thinks they're gangster till they have to fill out the eryth sea map 100%

I actually didn't know that to complete the map you just have to find all locations and landmarks for the area. So I actually swam around every inch of the place 😂😂😂
@@luke3810 hahahahaha xD

Yes, I’ve done it and it was like:
Me: “Hey mom! Did you see what I’ve done? Did you see that?”
Mom: “ehm… I wasn’t really looking”
Me: “oh c’mon! That’s not fair”
Brother: “AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH”
When you know the reason why this song is so sad...
What reason?
@@maxrichards3881 Play the game and you will see
Art2 Norrman
I did, there could be any number of reasons you’re referring to. Which one is it?
@@maxrichards3881 Melia's tragic role or the fate of the high entia I'd wager.
J T
Possibly.
However, those two things go hand-in-hand.
When a meteor shower happens 😍😍 absolutely gorgeous.
That happened the first time I went there, so I thought it would happen every night, sadly, it doesn't...
Just last night, my niece came over for a sleepover at the grandparents (there’s a good age gap between my sister and me). I went downstairs and started playing Xenoblade (original) for a bit, lost track of time, and she came downstairs to where she was going to sleep for the night. I got to show her my favorite sights in the game using a completed file - Bionis Leg from Believer’s Paradise, the Great Makna Falls, the Fallen Arm, Valak from Three Sage Summit, Satorl Marsh at night... and Eryth Sea during a meteor shower.
I’m so thankful I did. I got to re-witness the beauty for myself. I wasn’t playing the game to level up, beat the game, or anything else. I simply got to smile as my niece gaped at the beautiful scenery. Even I gaped at the stars in Eryth Sea that shone down. The Devs put so much effort in making this game beautiful, even on the Wii, and it amazes me that they made it better.
@@Seraphic2004 you too?
@@Seraphic2004 Same, but hey, it's better.... Feels magic and special :')
Saw one in Alcamoth. My jaw actually dropped from how amazing it was. Then again, I had that reaction with all of Eryth Sea. It's just such a creative, otherworldly place.
I was already pretty impressed with the upgraded trees in the marsh, but seeing the aurora at night with shooting stars... Wow. That was just so damn beautiful.
Got goosebumps the ten first time it was night with the shooting stars. This is my first time playing the game so was an amazing experience.
@@Softlol Oh buddy you're in for one hell of a ride
@@eggy7346 Agreed. This game is brilliant.
I always associated this theme with Melia. Whenever I hear it, I just imagine playing as her as I traverse the Eryth Sea. So, hearing it as her theme in Xenoblade 3 gave me chills. Apparently the composers also associated this theme with Melia.
The way they end "Ancient Memories" with that more heavenly choir sound more reminiscent of what plays in Alcamoth, too
It makes me think that I always associate the Erythia sea theme from xc3 with Eunie. Which is weird since she doesn't have a special connection with this place, I just think it fits her
UGH THAT CELLO AT THE END. IT SOUNDS SO GOOD NOW
It sounds weaker
I love how they added vocals at 0:32 to this remastered version of Eryth Sea. Eryth Sea looks even more beautiful in HD. Eryth Sea is one of my most favorite areas in Xenoblade Chronicles. I think I like this a tiny bit more than the original. This tracks similarity to the track Sorrow is very fitting considering what happens much later.
And the fact that it's the same as Satorl Marsh (I think) is really clever foreshadowing.
@@pmdmakesmecri2 I was thinking about that, it's just sang differently :(
The added chorus have always given me that Nier Automata vibes,... and then THAT happened.
Literally my first thought.
LITERALLY MY FIRST THOUGHT
Huh?
It's harder to describe how i feel when this song sounds in future conected... The nostalgia, the feelings, is only a little moment but wow
This song makes endlessly swimming in eryth sea and running from high level enemies bearable
yeh
Who's here after xenoblade chronicles 3's ending credits?
I'm here after Future Redeemed ending credits. The end of an era.
Present
At first I didn't understand why the song is having such sad vibe, but after finish until the later chapter, I really feel bad for Melia and the High Entia. Hearing this again in Future Connected before going into Alcamoth makes the whole thing even sadder.
Man, we can be glad to be born in this generation, enoying this masterpieces, wonderful art, timeless, god damn, PERFECTION
If you have completed chapter 15, you will finally understand why Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the greatest games ever made!
when this sound on xenoblade 3, The nostalgia. I cry
Loved how they incorporated this song into Melias theme in Xenoblade 3, really fits her. Beautiful track.
You hear xenoblade 1 title song and eryth sea theme in the xenoblade 3.
When I heard both I started to tear because how nostalgic and emotional it is I've been playing since x1 when it came out
Bro. No. Spoiler. Ow
dang this spoiled me
I've always sort of associated that motif with her, so the fact that Monolith soft did as well makes me happy. Whenever I hear the track in Xenoblade 1, I just imagine Melia and the party exploring the Eryth Sea.
1:02 sounds like Roxas' theme a little and it always gets me. For a while I couldn't differentiate the two in my head.
I was thinking the same thing! There's a piano riff in the night version of this theme that sounds just like The Other Promise as well.
What if I told you Yoko Shimamura apparently helped with some of the arrangements. I saw her name in the credits for this game.
The night theme sounds even more so
Its meant to be the motif to Thoughts Enshrined, which when you know the context actually makes hella sense for this area.
@@guthetanuki256correct! She did the title screen arrangement herself.
Even after beating the game to 100% completion, I still come back and just roam around every area admiring the scenery and music. It's just so good and I can't get enough of it!
Wow, this really hits different after the shit hits the fan
Probably my favorite rearranged theme so far. Eryth Sea day is one of my favorites of the game and they made it even better
Calming and beautiful as always.
This was my favorite my favorite region and theme from XCDE and now I now I love it more given the context in XC3!
Is 3 worth playing?
@@Justpassingby204 definitely
This is the most beautiful thing I’ve heard in my life.
This is by far my favourite track of all of xenoblade
One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever created
I believe it's been over a decade since I've occasionally sought refuge in this song. It offers a sanctuary-a fleeting moment of beauty and tranquility precisely when I require it most. Every time I listen, tears of profound beauty and longing well up within me, for it stands as perhaps the most exquisite melody I've ever heard.
Eryth Sea's one of my favorite places in the game =)
I sit there staring at the shooting stars at night this game is incredible. Night time in the marsh and valak mountain are also memorizing.
I used to not think much of it but Definitive Edition turned it into one of my favorite areas
@@GalanOfTruth Don’t just sit there at Night with Shooting Stars!! The difficult 'Challenge 1' quest has you kill a Unique Monster that lives on a remote island on the surface of the sea, and it only comes out during the Shooting Stars 'weather'.
How do I even remember such a random quest??
This is truly the Eryth Sea moment of all time.
Spoilers incoming:
When this theme returned in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, I was floored. The original evokes such a somber and moody atmosphere, foreshadowing Melia's journey and much of the suffering that she will endure. But the remix in 3 is just the opposite. It now feels uplifting, like Melia has reckoned with her suffering, it has made her stronger. She is the hope that her father always wanted her to be.
Such a beautiful comment. Thank you for sharing!
man i kinda teared up when i heared it in xb3
Hearing this in that one Island on the shoulder in the DLC was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
Ah... It's not that I didn't like Eryth Sea's themes beforehand, I love them, but the vocals kick in at 0:32... That gives the day theme the extra kick it needed to make me prefer it over its night variant. It sounds absolutely wonderful and the rest of the theme sounds just as beautiful as it did 10 years ago.
The sea, and in-between Prison Island and The Capital, truly beautiful. Melia's homeland as well.
My absolute favorite area, the atmosphere, music, look. It was all perfect.
i cant tell whether I should be hopeful or something or sad listening to this song.
Yeah this song hits different after the events of Mechonis core
The real joy of this area is finding Faras Cave
going through the teleporters in the floating island kind of reminded me of the lost forest
This hits different after beating xenoblade 3.
UUUUUGGGHHH. I never paid much attention to the original version, but this version is so calm and beautiful~
Beautiful solarpunk piano tunes to relax/study to
The enemy's weak but don't drop your guard
Whenever I play nier automata I’m always reminded of eryth sea’s music, there’s just something so melancholy about it
I love this game so much
im so glad they remade this for switch. i loved the original i loved the new 3ds version and the switch version has become my best nintendo game of all time. this game is what a masterpiece looks like.
100%
This track feels incomplete without the sounds of the teleport pads
The feelings when i heard this in future connected... This Game is amazing
The vocalsssssssssss
Parts of the map have a distinct Chrono Cross look to them, particularly the yellow floating isles and their respective flora. The music is from another world though.
I think this version was conducted a bit slower than the original, it works very well imo! Let's the musicians really take their time and express the mood of the piece (the dynamics in those sustained string chords and the vibrato in the cello solo, just perfect).
Heaven
Eryth Sea’s sounding more like Aerith Sea right now
Gosh dang it
Same with ether/aether.
Hope Sephiroth isn‘t around…
Did sephiroth do this
Only if Sephiroth used Ether to transform Aerith into a hideous monstrosity that would later be disposed of to recreate a new world.
I love this, it's so peaceful
Still beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
What if you wanted to have a nice time wandering Eryth Sea late in the game, but god said "level 90 telethia lol"
What a beautiful song especially this version
my god...
Nintendo, go on and release the arranged Soundtrack!!!! I already own the Original Soundtrack, but this here is way better. I would absolutely spend my money on this.
IDK man, love the track but on first play through it felt like death was eminent. Like this song foreshadowed people dying.
This song never really stood out to me in the original, but wow is it pleasant now. The choir does wonders.
Choir and the real orchestra. In the first game most of the music where fake orchestra
Choirs add a lot.
The tuna choir returns!
I am here after finish XC3.

This Track is a masterpiece. The chorus… beautiful. Too bad the area was so empty and a pain to fill the entire map.
Is it me or does this song faintly resemble Shimomura's "Nächtflugel" for the final secret boss of KH3 Remind?
I hear coming undone by korn at the beginning. I can't unhear it. H E L P
YES
The violins sounds like the sea
Biiiiiiig Eryth Sea.
The beginning of this song reminds me of the music from rocky 1. Awesome track!
God this remaster is gorgeous. I could never quite appreciate the original as the string synths they used were too overbearing and hurt my ears. The live instruments make this version SO much more pleasing to listen to, especially at 1:02. And it goes without saying that the cello at the end is phenomenal.
My only gripe is the vocals. I feel they take too much attention away from the simple but effective melody of the piano, overcrowding a moment that should have instilled lone, personal introspection. Thankfully, though, they're only present for a short part of the song.
Wish the vocales persisted throughout the whole track, would've been my favorite for sure.
The Xenoblade 3 version has the vocals throughout the track or at least 90% of it
Aerith Sea 🤩🥰😍😟
This may sound sad for no reason at first, but, then you continue the story...
Spoiler bellow!
The majority of the Entias turning into Telethias was such a sad thing for me, they turned into killing machines, losing consciousness (not all of it, actually), and leaving Alcamoth almost empty, also Melia being the ruler of a dead race, mostly
Also SPOILER for anyone else reading this:
The ancestor melia speaks with at the tomb was a seer and says she will be the last ruler of the high entia...of the remaining ones that are more human than high entia. Making her and everyone else the last generation.
@@ShadowSkyX More Homs than High Entia.
Music's atmosphere start to be heavy. And i can feel the story also goes desperate...
the music is nice and all but dear god you spend a lot of time here.
ALL OF THOSE URGENT SIDE QUESTS FROM ALCAMOTH
Completing the map...swimming all the time...
@@Seraphic2004 I don't know if you know, but you only have to have the names of locations/landmarks all registered... the map will then auto-complete! In both the Wii and N3DS version, I legitimately swam the entire sea maybe... 8 times total? Can't say I was happy when I found out I never needed to.
@@kavahreejones true, I completed it discovering all the locations, but I learned that thanks to the Fallen Arm
Correct me if I’m wrong, but is this the first area theme where we hear the choir? If so, that’s a cool reference / hint to THAT boss, who has the same choir in their theme.
Satorl Marsh is the first area theme with choir.
wishblade1 ah right. My bad.
If I'm remembering correctly the choir wasn't even in the original, but it doesn't sound kind of like it.
Melia! I'm in love with Melia!!! 😍😍😘
My eyes are wet. Beautiful.
Fight me, xenoblade 1 has the best scenarios. 2 and 3 are great but they will never surpass the beauty of the Bionis and Mechonis. Just think about the Marsh, Makna Forest, Eryth Sea, Bionis arm and Fallen arm.
Okay cool that you think that
Idk man, leftheria and uraya in 2 are some of the most beautiful. Some of 1's areas are somehow cozy and relaxing which I really love though
I would just say that when I think of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, I see Gormott, Uraya, Leftheria, Crucible Elpys, and the World Tree as being equals to those locations from Xenoblade Chronicles and are just as beautifully done and I don't see one game being better than the other.
Xenoblade 1 is the best the series will ever be.
best environments for sure, and overall best soundtrack imo too
Sort of a Spoiler
Me before Beating XC1: This theme is definitely trying to use heavy foreshadowing!
Me near the end of XC1: NO! I DIDN’T MEAN THAT KIND OF FORESHADOWING!
Vocals make it sound like a Nier track
true we think the same stuff
Man, I was really worried when I heard the soundtrack was gonna get remastered. I expect it to be a massive downgrade from the original soundtrack like what happened with KH 1.5 and 2.5, but I was pleasantly surprised by most of the songs. Hell, some of them I would say I prefer over the original versions now, like this theme. And while I'm not a big fan of the remastered battle themes, I will say they did an amazing job with the field themes.
Agreed with what you said. I was very excited but also a little worried. This song, mechanical rythym and tragic decisions are easily my favorite remastered songs though. One who gets in our way and engage the enemy got murdered though (the screams in engage the enemy are just awful for me). It's a bit hit or miss but there's definetly some gems in here
@@pizzamozarella6346 I actually really like the new version of One Who Gets in Our Way. But yeah I agree, Engage the Enemy got absolutely murdered by the ear grating singing, it's really bad.
@@pikachu896 Engage the Enemy is so frustrating too because the climax of the new version is SO GOOD but the screaming ruins any moment it's used in
@@pizzamozarella6346 Yeah, the instrumentation is great, but the awful singing/screaming just drowns out all the instruments and other singers and it sounds awful.
I actually prefer the remastered KH songs, but it's perfectly fine if you don't and I can agree that a lot of the remastered songs in this game are great.
The high entia deserved better man...
Good
Time to xenoblade 3
WOWWW
Heavensward vibes
Reminds me somewhat of the music of Steauss
Sounds like the other promise from KH2

I swear I would've thrown this game away after I got here if it weren't for this music like jesus christ this map was unnecessarily large and had so little checkpoints.... Gorgeous music and scenery tho, just wish the map was a bit better.
compared this to the original after only being used to this version. gotta say, this one still wins because it plays smoother. the original is very stiff with its instrumentation.
@Jonah Laining makes sense then!
Imagine if Namco still owned Monosoft and this was a PS5 title.
Making a large leap that Namco would of a) kept Monolith Soft around after the (relative) failures of the Xenosaga series and b) thinking they would of had the creative freedom they have under Nintendo even if they had been kept…
@@matttheshadowman2790 Xenoblade Chronicles or " Xenosaga 4" or " Monado : Beginning of the World" wouldve been a PS hit and be milked across generations

It's a beautiful song, but good freaking god the people who thought long endless expansions of nothing but this and that freaking swimming sound effect was a good thing need to stop being pretentious dips.
It’s like they put more effort into the endless sea than the city, which was a big circle
Yeah this was the area I hated the most. Still great game tho.
the vocals ruin this track for me tbh. i hate to be that guy but man this just doesn't top the og for me unfortunately
That is such a strange hot take to me lol, the vocals fit in so well and really add to it
@Markunshin idk man, i feel like they detract from the vastness to me. the original feels much more empty and peaceful, the vocals here imo are disruptive to the flow
tbf, this track has grown on me a lot more, but i still prefer the original. i just think it sounds better
